  1. No problems, quick and easy.
  2. Thank you for your reply. It would be useful to have the doorbell trigger some interior lights when no one is home.
  3. Will it read the armed state? That is whether it is "disarmed", "stay" or "away"?
  4. Well, I finally decided to "bite the bullet" and reboot the EISY, and it seems that almost everything is there and functioning. I will poke around and see what I can screw up.
  5. I am migrating from my ISY994 to my new EISY. I just got my USB PLM, restored my ISY backup to my EISY, and I am restoring the PLM. The admin console has repeated the "system busy dialogue at least a half dozen times, over and over. Each time it reaches 100%, it starts over. I suspect there is a problem, but I am letting it do its thing because I don't want to screw it up, but I suspect something has gone wrong. Also, though my programs showed up after restoring the backup, my Insteon devices did not. My ISY is at v5.3.4 and my EISY is at v5.5.9.
  6. Thank you very much! I will place my order soon.
  7. I have pre-ordered the USB PLM and it is time to retire the old, faithful ISY994. I have two questions. 1) What is the maximum practical length for the USB cable from the EISY to the PLM? Although the EISY is probably USB 3.x, I am guessing that the PLM is 2.x. Can I get away with a 15’ cable? 2) My plan is to wait until I am notified that the PLM is shipping, to order the EISY. My reasoning is that if the PLM doesn’t ship for a month or more, I want to have the latest EISY available. Is there any reason that I should not wait? Even though I have had my ISY for many years, I am running 5.3.4 firmware and an all Insteon system so I should expect a relatively trouble free migration.
  8. Yep, didn't even have to buy her flowers.
  9. Mine went offline this morning with this error message: Sun 2021/09/26 06:54:27 AM System -140008 Portal-Dispatch:500 Everything works locally, but I have no access to "my ISY" through the portal and no "Amazon Echo" access. Got up this morning, told Alexa "Good Morning" (which should turn on some lights) and she ignored me, almost like we were married.
  10. That is the same here. Like you, I added it to my "safe sender" list, but became concerned when I noticed that the links and reply-to address were from domains other than universal-devices.com. I am very cautious about such things and it has served me well over the years. Thanks again, for all of the replies.
  11. Thank you so much for your prompt reply.
  12. I signed up for a Portal account at the beginning of the week, then a few days ago I got an email that claimed there had been a security breech of the UD database. The email was titled "Important Security Notice" and the sender was "Universal Devices News". The links in the email direct to: universal-devices. us1. list-manage. com (spaces added so as not to create a link here). Is this legitimate or possibly a phishing attempt?
