  1. Hey team, I just finished setting up my raspberry pi with home assistant. Almost all of my insteon hub devices were automatically linked and I'm able to again control all my lights from my app If anyone needs to talk through exactly how to do that, message me and I'm happy to walk you through it. I was in desperate need of a dumbed down, step-by-step walk through but couldn't find one ... and now that I suffered through it myself I'm happy to help ? I will say however that Home Assistant is incredibly slow in executing scenes. Insteon Hub was night and day different. It also doesn't recognize all my devices all of the time. Unfortunate.
  2. I have no idea how these things work so if this sounds stupid that's why: Isn't there a way for anyone that wants to pay for server space to have their data on a server and restore the hub to its old functionality? The amount of server space needed and the cost would be correlated to the amount of people that wanted to do this I assume we'd need Rob or someone to facilitate it but if it's no cost to them, would be great to have. I don't really change my devices anymore, pretty static, so it's just a matter of accessing the same data on a server?
  3. I bought one earlier today. Tons of supply out there
  4. Thanks Mr Bill Two questions: If I didn't factory reset the hub but did network reset the hub, will the HA method still work? If one purchases a raspberry pi 4 (which is really just a basic computer with some ports) what's the method to link the hub? There was a reference in the reddit post to something about network to power line, but not sure what that means. Does one just connect the Ethernet port on the hub to somewhere on the raspberry pi and then by inputting the username and pwd for the hub into HA, it reads it somehow? I'm also not clear on how to set up HA on a raspberry but I think that's well covered on other sites so will try that when I receive my raspberry Thanks to everyone for all the knowledge and support. This has been nuts
  5. Stupid question: So for the solution, do we buy a polisy pro, connect that to router, and then this USB dongle that Teken mentioned, is that this:? https://www.ebay.com/itm/353621496562?hash=item52557bd2f2:g:nssAAOSwciphFce3 If so, how does that allow me to still operate my lights from my smartphone?
