  1. So riddle me this... For those of us that did the panic leap from dead Insteon Hub to Polisy or similar, what would be the merit of ever going back to the Insteon Hub? I actually took the experience of sort of, "Why the hell didn't I do this sooner?" I get that it would be swell if Insteon started manufacturing PLM's, switches, et al again. I've always liked most of the devices, but that period of smart home to incredibly awkward and really dumb home is not something I'd like to repeat.
  2. Thanks to all for the answers.
  3. I see support for Ring is mentioned in the UD Polisy narratives. As my Insteon HD cameras are presumably all defunct, I might consider branching into the Ring camera arena. What support exists for Ring? I took a look at the Node Store from the Polisy UI and didn't see anything. I apologize in advance if my questions are stupid. I'm trying to adapt to the new post-Insteon environment and the best I can do is apply legacy knowledge of Insteon pre-Hub with a PLM and HouseLinc. I imagine I'm doing a little "square peg, round hole" reasoning. And yes, I had a USB to Insteon powerline PLM for HouseLinc that I tossed thinking I'd never need one again. Fortunately I had a USB dongle as well that now happily lives in my Polisy.
  4. Good call @apostolakisl I just switched to DHCP on the Polisy, but reserved the IP in my DHCP pool. I did confirm that the programs are behaving now after removing my typo in a folder condition.
  5. Yes @MrBill, I had found that previously. I'm 99% sure it was that inadvertent condition on the folder. I also just followed the recommendation I received from @Michel Kohanim to abandon my static IP configuration that I assumed I would need for remote access to my IoP with NAT through my firewall and rebooted my Polisy. Thanks again.
  6. Thanks All. I didn't even notice that I had folder conditions. I must have inadvertently added a condition there when I was adding my first few programs. We'll see how things go this evening. I'll probably reboot as well.
  7. Polisy v5.4.3 (UI same) PLM is an Insteon 2448A7 Insteon devices all function perfectly using Admin Console, UD Mobile, and Alexa. The simplest programs ever likely created work intermittently or fail most of the time. Not sure why something this simple would not respond. I have other examples, but this is about as "plain vanilla" as they come. No, I did not RTFM, but this seems to be about as easy as things get.
  8. So the noob just got his Polisy Pro and after a little fussing around to get all of the pieces and parts of IoP sorted, I am back in business relatively speaking with Insteon devices and Alexa. It wasn't too bad other than the $450 to get back basically what I had two weeks ago. I am liking what I see in the ISY Programs. They remind me of the old HouseLinc that pre-dated the Insteon Hubs. We'll see if they work tonight and tomorrow morning.
  9. Yup, I got mine in my old Insteon beta email alias.
  10. Admittedly a noob here, but a bunch of us have walked the same ground. Seems like a smart bunch. We'll figure out alternatives without big $$$
  11. Yesterday there were 78 +/- LI profiles stating they were employees of Insteon. Today only 12 that apparently didn't get the memo on the way out of the back door. Old Rob has made his LI profile hidden now too because apparently a work history scrub, name change, and picture deletion weren't blocking all of the hate messages. I only know because I tried. I hate cowards, even when times aren't ideal.
