I have 2 Scheduled programs that eisy says are not found. It suggests that I should synchronize but even after that, the programs are still not found. The cursor is empty. can someone tell me how to delete these zombies from the listing? I have tried a long press but nothing seems to work. thank you

Merci Guy Changing to Control vs Status did the trick.

I apologize for the redundance but I inadvertently put this post in the eisy thread which I realized after is really more hardware related. My question is strictly software. I am trying to figure out how to automatically turn off the bathroom fan after a 15 minute delay. So the scenario is that the customer turns on the fan and then leaves the room. 15 minutes later, the fan automatically turns itself off. I tried to create a schedule that says Wait 15 minutes and then switch fan OFF but the only trigger that I can find is based on the current time not on the change of state when the bathroom fan turned on. Does anyone have any ideas ? I have created a program (see attachments) but it does not fire. If I start the fan and then run the THEN clause, it works as I expected. Thank you Brian

Thank you for your suggestion. That is similar to what I was thinking. So I created a program (see attachments) but when I turn on the bathroom fan, the program does not trigger. The fan stays on. Is there something that I have missed?

Hi I am trying to figure out how to automatically turn off the bathroom fan after a 15 minute delay. I tried to create a schedule that says Wait 15 minutes and then switch fan OFF but the only trigger that I can find is based on the current time not on the change of state when the bathroom fan turned on. I am perplexed that the Schedule is only time base and does not give me any more flexibility. What am I missing??? Does anyone have any ideas ? I thought about baking it into a scene but the scene will only let me do immediate actions not delayed actions. Thank you Brian

So you are thinking that there is a link buried in the keypad that is confusing me?

Thank you again for everyone who has helped me figure out how to setup this EISY unit. Today, I figured out how to create scenes and things seem to be working as in would expect. The client has multiple Insteon keypads. I have created three scenes that correspond to three buttons (B, C, and D) which turn on three lights in the Dining room. Client is asking that Button E will automatically trigger the three scenes that are attached to Button B, C, and D. So bottom line is that the client wants the flexibility to turn on or turn off a single light by pressing a single button plus they want the ability to trigger all three scenes by pressing Button E. scene B - Button B is the Controller and Light 1 is the responder scene C - Button C is the Controller and Light 2 is the responder scene D - Button D is the Controller and Light 3 is the responder scene E - Button E is the Controller and Button B, C, D are responders what is happening is that Button E turns on the three lights but if I press Button C, Button E also turns on. I also tried to change the scene so that Button E is the Controller but Light 1, 2, and 3 are the responders does anyone have an idea about what I’m doing wrong or a suggestion about how to get the behaviour that the client wants?

Problem solved. I found some documentation online. Multi Function Button (#top) eisy's power button acts as a multifunction button Update and Upgrade All the Packages Click the button one (1) time. Please consult support before updating this route. Recommended route for updating is through Admin Console -> Configuration Tab -> "Upgrade Packages" button. NOTE: There is not a speaker on the eisy so there will not be any beeps on reboot. Go to WIFI Setup or Leave WIFI Setup mode Click the button two (2) times. Reset Credentials Click the button three (3) times This action resets the following passwords to the default (admin/admin😞 SSH ISY on eisy(IoX) Be sure to change the passwords for these access methods after you log-in again. Reset Networking Click the button four (4) times Reboot Click the button five (5) times Shutdown Click the button six (6) times Factory Reset Click the button ten (10) times Please wait 5-10 minutes after factory reset before attempting to reconnect to system. If System is not found by finder after the wait period please reboot system by clicking the button five (5) times and waiting two minutes for system to come online.

Thanks for the help Techman but as I said in my post, my ISY994i doesn’t have any lights or a reset button on the back. The old unit that doesn’t work anymore, had 2 RJ45 ports on the back. One for the router and the other plugged into the PLM. The unit that I have has a power button on the front and nothing more. here is a link to the device: https://www.aartech.ca/udi-eisy/universal-devices-eisy-smart-hub.html Do you have any ideas?

Hi I have a new ISY994i which means that I only have a power button on the front and no lights. Looking at the back of the unit, there is only 1 RJ45 port. I seem to have lost the password for the Admin account. I had a password but it does not work anymore. A very helpful forum user provided me with instrudtions that said that I should press the Reset button on the back and that a soft reset would let me regain control of the userid/password without losing all of my work to date. I have no back up yet and am terrified of losing what I have done with the unit so far. One of the first things that I need to do is to make a backup. Can someone please help me figure this out. How do I do a soft reset of the ISY994i when I don't have a reset button while still retaining the existing device list and programs that I have created to date. Thank you for your help Brian

OK... so it is a factor of how long you hold the button. THat is all that I needed to know. Thank you very much.

Yes, I am migrating to a new ISY994i. I have a lot of devices loaded and I would hate to lose my work to date. I know I should do a backup and I will as soon as I get control of the box again. Is the 30 second factory reset button the same as the main reset but you just hold it for a longer period of time?
-
Thank you for the response. I tried to find something like this but was not able. Is there any chance that I will lose the work that I have done to date with this reset? I would hate to have to start again. Client would not be happy

When I was setting up my ISY994, I changed the userid and password for the Admin account. I also created a new account. Now I cannot seem to login into either of those accounts ( locally or remotely). If I am physically with the ISY device, is there a way to reset the password for the Admin account?? Once I am in, then I can reset the password for the User account. But I need GOD priveliges to scrape the house for devices.
-
It definitely would be a good thing to have but the old ISY won’t even boot. As I said, it is DOA.
-
The current system is using an old ISY994/IR. It is DOA and the old programmer is nowhere to be found. Too bad he didn’t give the client a backup of their system but from what I have been told, he wasn’t very good.
-
We have already added 26 keypads and I was told that they have 60-70 devices total. So I need to discover another 40 devices and most of them are buried in the walls behind the various wall sconces, etc.
-
The existing system is at a customer's house, The old device is DOA and the old programmer is nowhere to be found. So they hired me to do it for them. I have already added 26 keypads. ISY is running at customers house. I am hoping that I can remotely control ISY and tell it that it should start to scrape the rest of the house for hidden devices. When I start IOX Laucher, I have a standard screen with no devices shown because it is looking locally. it is not asking me to login with my remote ID. If i try to refresh or Load, it prompts me for a URL.
-
Thanks for the advice. I’ll give it a try.
-
I already have a portal account which I tested when I set the box up. but it is always looking locally. So if I clear the Java cache, will it give me the option to connect remotely?
-
So instead of using UD Mobile, I should be using eisy? does eisy work remotely or do I have to be on the same network?
-
Hi Paul thank you for the quick response. I am well aware of the mess that I will need to cleanup after all of the hidden devices have been added. I just need them to be included first. I have been adding devices through UD Mobile. Did I miss something in the Add that tells the software to follow links and add associated devices?

I am implementing a new ISY994i to replace an old defunct system. Previous system designer has disappeared. Customer has 60-75 Insteon devices with many buried behind sconces and inside chandeliers. The keypads and switches were very straightforward. is there a way to scrape the rest of the house to automatically pickup the remaining devices? I have been using UD mobile. I have remote access to the ISY if that helps. thank you
