  1. This is similar to the one I posted recently in my Magic UFO thread. Ill check out the github and see how it goes and report back. Edit: I dont see any talk about the "white" channel. "They" don't call me "Mr. Cool White" for nothin! [emoji13]
  2. Thats because mode, speed and fade/dim don't exist. Read my other threads about the MUFO.
  3. Yeah I need RGBW too. As MWareman asked please post a link to the firmware for HTTP and if you know if they have a "RGBW" version.
  4. Nope just preoccupied by all things Aston Martin ATM. HAHAH, Yes your system was shipped today and on its way. See what I did there? Today, way, I should have been a rapper. lol ok maybe not. Check out my link here about the Magic UFO http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/19913-magic-ufo-controller-for-rgbw/?hl=%2Bmagic+%2Bufo Towards the bottom I added a new "mini wifi rgbw controller" Also look at this thread towards the end there are Network Resources, post 101 talks about ones we found. On: 113;35;15;163;129;138;139;150 Off: 113;36;15;164;129;138;139;150 http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/15428-rgbw-led-strip-light-control/page-6?hl=%20magic%20%20ufo Hope this helps. Now off to more fun stuff!
  5. Check out my links - the minis are on ebay now. You can use any kpl or button and just send a NR to turn them on/off - dimming up/down is not an option but pre-dim levels can be.
  6. Just sharing. Ecobee thermostat with Amazon Alexa integration http://www.digitaltrends.com/home/ecobee4-rumors-alexa-integrated/
  7. The IOTA DOT aka IOTA Connect now, will soon be shipping to all Kickstarter backers and you can buy them now. https://dot-by-iota-labs.myshopify.com I can say with confidence these little guys are great! The best part is IFTTT and Maker are baked in. I have had all of my commands work with 100% accuracy. I know IFTTT gets a bad rap sometime because of delays but I can say there were none for me. Of course that being said it is a cloud service so there's going to be a bit of a delay when you enter a room and want lights turned on. This is not because of the hardware, it just is what it is to get the command out and back. Right now with my test DOT I have it in my Home Theater Room. When I walk in after a specific amount of time if I am still in range all my devices turn on and ready to watch a movie, then the opposite happens when I leave. The app is now live on the Apple Store here: Iota Connect by Iota Labs, Inc https://appsto.re/us/2Km0gb.i Check it out. Grab one, they are only $20! Let me know if you have questions and I will try and answer any. To be clear I backed the Kickstarter project for one DOT and in no way affiliated with this company. I am just sharing my thoughts. These could be a great hit for those looking for reliable geofence.
  8. Does that system have a stat or allow third part ones? I have a Daikin and found my stat was compatible with Ecobee. I know my system has a pin out on the head unit. Maybe its possible you have one too and can plug into that and add a third party stat that you might be able to control.
  9. This post talks about changing the DHCP lease time. I maybe close [emoji12] https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=116151
  10. Are you using a VPN client on the Tik? If so you have to route the DOTS outside it. I have to for mine. The DOTS would work fine for a while then drop off. Also the Tik could be dumping the device states after a certain time frame or last used? Last I would check the Tik forums and make sure this is not a NAT or Masq issue. Wouldnt think it was since rebooting the DOTS then work again but stranger things have happened.
  11. You get things working?
  12. I am going to do some research and see if there's a way we can have any files played through the Elk speaker. Essentially its a speaker so the files should play. Ill post my findings.
  13. Are you sending custom sounds/recordings stored on a an always on PC/NAS using the ISY NR to Elk speaker?
  14. Would you share your code with the parameters?
  15. I'm sure you know this but the Insteon Motions can detect both motion and brightness. I use several around my home to see if two rooms are dark then turn on my sunset scene. #JustSayin
  16. I was adding failover lte and my tags went offline. So I know the cell network blocks them. Might be an ISP thing but NAT firewall rules work both ways. Like I suggested make sure it allows any in and any out for ports and protocols for that IP.
  17. Look at the CAO wireless tag thread. You will install a "KumoApp" which is basically a script that you copy paste to the tag manager site.
  18. You might try "any in, to any out" and "any out, to any in" for just that IP. Also if you add another router put the frontier into bridge mode and turn everything OFF - firewall, DHCP server etc. Then the new router needs to be setup with the firewalls, port forwards etc. Might be more time spent that its worth. I personally would try and get the Frontier device working. At least now your getting it to connect and staying connected for longer periods of time. Does that router show device states? If so filter the tag manager IP and see what ports its really trying to connect to.
  19. As of today Alexa works within the official Amazon app on my iPhone. It controls all devices just like the Amazon Devices except its not always ON. Enjoy!
  20. Edit: OK go back to NAPT and add your tag IP to the NAT tables rules. Heres instructions. Make sure to reboot. Hopefully we can get you up and working. Im trying! http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r24829180-Actiontec-MI424WR-How-to-enable-StaticNAT-IPpassthrough
  21. Yeah and most people have their "Home" address in Waze/navigation app. Open the garage door, close it, filler up, no one even knows.
  22. I found this: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/4626 For fun change it to "route" reboot and see what happens. Also for testing if you haven't already plug the smart tag into the router/modem and change cables. I could be wrong but think your having a NAT issue. I haven't worked with a lot of DECA/MOCA devices but they should all behave the same.
  23. Whats the options under "routing mode"?
  24. Theres also been an app called "Roger" and I heard the Amazon App will have Alexa builtin starting as soon as next week.
  25. Why not do if its Sunset and Elk is armed away then run your scene? Also try "CONTROL" - Maybe you have a communication error and its not picking up the status of carport light being turned on? Have you verified? EDIT: If Elk Area 'HOME' 'Armed State' is Armed Away And Time is Sunset Then Set Scene 'All Outside Lighting' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
