Reset/restored PLM. No change
-
LED on PLM wasn't on. Tried on several other outlet and no LED. It's new so it's strange it would already be faulty. Swapped with my old one and most devices are back. Those that weren't updating status in ISY seems to be OK( at least those I have checked) so some progress. Still have a few devices with red"!" or green icon. Tried restore and write to.
-
Something definitely wrong. Unplugged both, waited. Plugged PLM, waited plugged ISY. Opened console and now every devices has red "!" beside it. Restarted everything and still all red "!". I still have backup from my old ISY and this one that I did a few hours ago. Should I restore backup or is there something else I can try?

I didn't really upgrade the firmware. It was already on the ISY when I bought it. Before buying it I contacted sales and they sent me this link https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-994i_Series:Migrating_To_Your_ISY-994i . This is how I did the migration. I will try 5.3.3 to see what happens.

Old hardware that worked better than the new ?. I will contact support. Hopefully they can figure out the issue.

I factory reset both devices and still same issue. Now discovering additional devices that I can control locally or with the console, however when controlling it locally the status doesn't update in the console. Upgraded ISY because everyone kept telling any issues I was having was because of old firmware. I'm having more issues with this new one that I ever had with the old one. Good thing I still have it. Might have to downgrade back to the old one.

The old ISY is like 20 years old and the firmware on it is no longer supported so not sure it's a good idea or if I could even find that firmware. Will factory reset devices as @lilyoyo1 suggested above and see what happens.

Ah OK. Followed instruction and looks like I'm matching now. It did resolve the issue on one keypad but not the other. And the 2 switches that had the green icons are still there sending command from admin console still works sometimes. Other times it won't and the green icon turns into red "!". Does this mean 2 faulty switches and 1 faulty keypad?

I'm not able to download the file. I click the link and nothing happens. But I don't see the need to upgrade to 5.3.3 to soleve my issue. If 5.3 is the official release I assume my problem is something else.
-
So if 5.3 is the official release shouldn't it work?

I did not upgrade firmware. How do I upgrade?

I upgraded my old ISY to a new ISY994i ZW+/IRPro. Backed up my old one first and then restored backup to my new ISY. Most seems to work OK except a few things. A few of the switches have a little green icon beside it. I have tried write updates and restore devices but still have the icon. I can still control those devices from the admin consoles however sometimes I get a pop up error saying communication failed with device. Even though changes went true. I have 4-8 button keypad switch. 2 that work fine. The other 2 aren't working in HomeSeer. When I physicaly press a button it triggers associated event, however the log in the ISY is not showing any activity. When sending command from admin console it shows up in the log. HomeSeer reads info from ISY and since it's not reporting button presses, HomeSeer doesn't see it either. These particular keypads don't have the little green icons beside it.

The ISY, PLM and the I/O link are all installed within inches of each other. And there's another insteon switch 2 feet away
-
New ISY and new PLM and it still doesn't work. Does this mean the I/O link is dead? It's weir that the ISY doesn't see it but if I push the button on the side it sends notification true HomeSeer.
-
Thanks for the replies guys. I have noticed some lights not triggering every time recently. I guess after probably 15 years it's time for an upgrade. It did serve me well for as long as it lasted. The most reliable device in my system for sure and the oldest.

I'm using Homeseer to send notification but that is not the route of the problem for sure. Like I mentioned pushing the button on the I/O send the notification so that should eliminate HomeSeer. Here's a screenshot of device and firmaware. Yes that's and old model :). Everything else works great. Have to other 2450 and they work great.

I have an I/O link model 2450 connected to a Dakota alert 3000 that is connected to a driveway sensor. Recently noticed that I was no longer receiving alerts. In the ISY interface it's showing as not communicating. On the 2450 itself the white LED on the side is on and the green LED on the bottom is not. If I push the set button on the side I get a notification so it appears the 2450 is working, partially anyway. I believe the green LED on the bottom should be green? What could be the issue.

Everything thing is back up and running. Seems to operate as it should. Thanks for the help.

I do have a power supply from and old router that is 5V 1 Amp would this work?

My PLM 2412s just failed so I ordered a PLM 2413S as the 2412 is no longer available. My 2412 was connected to my ISY via CAT5 cable. The new 2413S came with a cable that is RJ45 on one end and serial connector the other end. Should this be connected with the serial on the back of the ISY or should I connect the same way the 2412 was with just a CAT5 cable. Also since this is a replacement and not a new install is there a specific way to swap it and not lose any connection info.

That's the way In was doing it but this time for device type I put the actual device instead of auto discover and it worked.

I just checked and they are on opposite phases
