I had tried multiple syncs on UD Mobile to no avail. Also rebooted the eisy and still not showing up. And yes, the Keypad is working locally.
-
I might have just made things worse. I deleted the device from UD Mobile thinking I would just start over. When I try to add it back through UD Mobile, it says Device Already Added, Ignored. So I tried to link it through the Admin Console. It also sees it and says it is Already Added. But it does not show up anywhere now, not even in UD Mobile.

I'm a former Insteon/ISY user of about 10 years that is starting all over again with a new install. I know I used to know how to do this, but can't figure it out. I have a scene with a Keypad button and two switches. However, I don't always use both of those devices at the same time. When they are both turned on individually, how do I get the Keypad button to reflect that? Master Bath - [ID 0006][Parent 0001] If 'Master Bath Switch 2' Status is 100% And 'Master Bath Switch 1' Status is 100% Then In 'Master Toilet' Set 'Master Bath - Vanity 1 / Master Bath - Keypad' To On Else In 'Master Toilet' Set 'Master Bath - Vanity 1 / Master Bath - Keypad' To Off

I've been installing a new Insteon system throughout my house. About 30 switches so far with no issues. The 31st is installed. I added it with the UD Mobile app and the app recognizes it. It is a keypad and is functioning properly; however, it does not show up in the Admin Console. Any pointers?

I know you said the option is set to dimmer. Did you do it manually at the switch? Or tried to set it as dimmer through the UD Mobile app? I believe it has to be done manually at the switch itself. At least that is the only thing I could get to work.

I think I was able to get it working. Other than I do not know how to set upper and lower temperatures for the Nest in heat/cool mode, but I have posted in the HA message boards for help with that.
-
Just checking back in to see if anyone has ever gotten this to work.

Can you explain more to me about the numeric state variable? I have the variables set up as state variables in the eisy (1=home, 0=away). They show up on my HA dashboard. When I try to setup an automation in HA, I see “IoX Variables” as a trigger, but it won’t let me select which variable or add a condition.

Setup: Home Assistant Run on eisy and Nest Thermostats I've read several related posts, but trying to piece it all together. If this is covered in a post I haven't found yet, please forgive me. Currently, I have Home Assistant working and have the Nest Thermostats setup and controllable from HA. Application: My Nests currently are programmed natively through the Nest app to adjust temperatures at certain times. On weeks that my kids are with me, I want to override those settings. I figure the easiest way to do that is to wait a couple minutes after the settings change, and then use HA to change them back to what I want. To do this, I have the UD Mobile app on each kid's phone and enabled Geofences to change a state variable for each kid based on whether they are here or not. My plan was to set up an automation in HA that said something like: When time = 11:00 pm And Kid1Location = 1 or Kid2Location = 1 (Maybe I need to create a separate variable for if either kid is home?) Then set the temperature Here are some questions In HA, I can figure out how to change an ISY variable, but not use it as a condition. Am I missing something? Should I just be using geofencing in the HA app instead of UD Mobile?

Thanks, now back to the original topic. Anyone know how to get my Govee devices working, lol?
-
Thanks, it is still in the Base URL on the image too though, right?
-
@dbuss Thanks, totally missed that. I'll have to trust you with it. I removed the image from my post, but looks like it still shows up in your reply. Mind doing me a solid and deleting your post?

Within the Admin Console configuation, I have this screen. Should I have a password here?

I went the Elk route before and just personal preference, but didn’t like it. I had an HAI Omni panel at my last house and like it much better. However with no direct integration with the ISY, I was using hardwired I/O to read status or send it commands. Didn’t love that, but it worked. Without seeing any mention of the Omni panels with eisy I wanted to explore other options. The envisalink node server not reporting zone status changes when the system is armed is my hesitation at this point because I did use that for several things, and not super excited about having to add Insteon contact switches on top of it.

Thanks for the response. Here is the log file. I feel like I'm a halfway intelligent person, and have a couple other nodeservers running, but I am sure I am missing something obvious here. @firstone any help is appreciated. pg3_1-13-2024_121917_PM.zip

I just installed this Nodeserver. In the Polyglot Dashboard it remains disconnected despite multiple attempts to restart it. Am I doing something wrong?
-
I inherited a house with Nest thermostats and really don’t want to replace them. I know the node server is gone. Can they still be used with network resources to at least change set points?
-
Did you ever get this working? I am having a similar issue.
-
Tell me more about this nest node server. I was an early adopter of Insteon, but have been automation-less the past three years. Just made my purchase last week to jump back in and start all over. In my absence, I did not realize Nest was no longer supported. Any rough timeframe on a nodeserver?
-
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll likely go that route.

I was a long time Insteon user that is about to start over again in a new house. Any suggestions for compatible alarm systems through a node server? I really don’t want to spend the money on an Elk. I had heard the DSC Powerseries alarms were at end of life.
-
I had a pretty significant installation of Insteon devices with a Polisy running nodeserves for Ring door bells, SONOS, Philips Hue, and other devices. I also had an HAI Omni alarm panel which I had to operate with discrete inputs and outputs. I lost all of that in my divorce, so now I am starting over from scratch. If you had to do it all over again, which switch line would you go with, and more importantly which alarm system. I don't need something as extravagant as the Omni or Elk. How well do the DCS or Honeywell systems work with the EnvisaLink nodeserver?
