Request for additional weather data: After working with the Weatherbug module for a week or so, I've realized what many probably already knew. The high/low for the day is not a predicted high/low. It is the high/low that so far has been reached for that day. I was initially assuming that the high/low data was like most weather sites and contained the forecast high/low for that day. I realize that weatherbug is populating those fields, but could you also add some fields/variables in the WeatherBug module to contain the forecast high/low for that day (and next day if possible)? To me, this would seem like more useful data. But ... maybe not to others.

I will look into it. Any chance the irrigation-promo-11 discount, or any other, still applies to the irrigation module? It appears that it no longer does.

Just got Weatherbug module and it definitely looks very promising. But I was a little bummed that I could not assign the values of an item to a variable such as below: MyDailyRainCount+=WeatherBug.RainToday Is this capability a possibility in the future, and if so do you have a time frame for that? I know I could set up a bunch of if-then loops, but even with 20 conditions (0.05 range), it would not have the accuracy that I would like for a weekly total. If not, still loving the ISY and all its capabilities (and modules)!

From a post I saw earlier it looks like I can do things as the following (excuse syntax): If Module.Weather.HighTemp>100 then ... If Module.Weather.CurrentTemp >30 and <50 then ... Is this correct? I also saw that I had a 30 period I could return it if not able to meet my wants. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for detailed response. Dedicated remote sounds like best idea.

OK, just figured out how to implement scene control dim/bright/on/off with programs, but I will have to make seven? programs to do this: Button Fade Down=Scene/device fade down Button Fade Up=Scene/device fade up Button Fade Stop=Scene/device fade stop Button On=Scene/device on Button Off=Scene/device off Button Fast On=Scene/ fast on Button Fast Off=Scene/device fast off Seems like a lot, huh? So this still leads even more to my question, can I simply disable a device (RL2) from controlling a scene with the use of programs? Thanks in advance.

I am looking for a way to disable a scene (or at least prevent a controller from activating a scene) by the use of programs. For example, with the use of conditionals on the folders in programs, I can simple disable a whole set of programs by setting the value of a 'flag' program to false. If not, any ideas for the following scenario: I have a keypadLinc2 remote that controls many scenes, I want to simply disable some of the buttons on that RL2 that control scenes when I give it to a family member who maybe sleeping in the guest bedroom. I could wire up buttons to control scenes via programs, however I cant find a way to implement the dim/bright capability programatically.

Is there a way I can get a quick count of the number of programs I currently have (currently in hundreds)? What happens when I reach my 300 limit and try to add a new one? Will it warn me what is happening? If I purchase the upgrade to pro, is it a simple 'unlock' type process (keeping all existing devices/programs/settings)? Thanks in advance. -Tim

Got another potential bug. I have several networking resources that work fine when I hit the 'Test' button on the Networking Config page. However, when I try to call the networking resources from a program, they do not run at all. Am I missing something? I saw that a previous beta release moved the resources into a separate 'thread' as to not hold up the programs. But mine are apparently not executing at all when called from a program Any ideas? BTW, just found this post also (same problem): viewtopic.php?f=25&t=7112&p=54407#p54407

Chris, You were right. Sorry bout that. I think I was anxious to get my RL2 going and didn't look at all my options. In my opinion, your GUI is fine in regards to that. It was complete user error.

Nice! Been checking on this VERY frequently as I am looking forward to getting my Remotelinc2 into my ISY. My upgrade went fine as usually, and already have my Remotelinc2 linked in. So here is my question: I have a 4 key remotelinc. When I linked into ISY it showed up as 6 seperate items (4 were for the keys). What do the remaining two represent? I am hoping that one is low battery. If so, which one? Can't find anything in forums/wiki (I am sure because this release is just a few minutes out). Thanks in advance. FYI, can't say enough how great I think your product is, and even better, the support and upgrades you continue have!!! Thanks again.

Irrigation Module Question: I'm interested in testing the irrigation module, but have 2 questions: 1) is the Weatherbug module required before you can use the irrigation module? Or, are they the same thing/module? 2) According to the link below, it looks like the irrigation module contains data for Current Temp, High Temp and Low Temp. Is this true? If so, can I access these values via programs? http://universal-devices.com/mwiki/inde ... ion_Module

Nice, That works well enough. I didn't even know about that freature. Very nice! Thanks again.

Over time, I have built up quite an array of programs in my ISY. I am continually reorganizing, renaming, and refactoring them to add capability and keep it all 'clean'. Doing this, leads me to my question: Is there any way to access a list of programs that refer to a specific program or scene? For example, in many IDEs for programming languages, you can click a function and call 'find references', which will return a list of all the calls to that function. I realize the ISY is not quite a full blown IDE, although it is EXTREMELY capabable. I just thought I would ask in case it existed.

First of all, seriously, you guys are awesome for the continual updates on such a great product already. I LOVE the ability to customize notification messsages in the earlier betas and the last official release, and now, VARIABLES!!! Seriously, great job, especially with increasing features with complete backward compatability. Anyway, with that said, I THINK I have found an issue (it may already be known, and in addition, this IS a beta). This is apparently (but not definite) new to the 3.x release, I don't think I had it in any of the earlier betas, but it appears that my ISY is taking 1-2 seconds longer to act on triggers/events. I added a program using variables the other night and noticed it took a few seconds to execute. I thought not a big deal, it probably takes longer to evaulate the variables. But, the next day I also have noticed that ALL of the motion-controlled lights do the same thing now. They use to be almost instantaneous (less than a second), but now seem to be taking 1-2 seconds to do any action after an event. Anyway, like I said, this may already be known, it is a beta, and I cant say 100% sure its completely new in 3.x. Although, I can give a 80% confidence that it is. Anyway, not complaining at all, but just stating my observations. If this has been added, it would be great to get the perf back (especially motion controlled lights)

Over the last year I have built a pretty extensive (at least to me) system of insteon devices controlled by an ISY. I recently found out that I am going to need to replace my existing circuit breaker panel (and breakers). Are there any suggestions what to avoid? I don't want a new panel/breakers that will cause problems with my insteon network. I have read that some of the arc-fault breakers are having problems/causing conflicts. Is this true? Any thing else to avoid? Any suggestions what to get? I also want to put in a whole-home surge protector. Good idea? Bad Idea?

I am considering purchasing the weatherbug module, solely for the use of somehow alerting me (turning lights on) at night when major storms are nearby. I have read that currently there is no way to see/view tornado warnings or other alerts. Is this still the case? If so, what do current users think: Should/could I use the 'Gust Speed' variable to alert me? (If Gust Speed > 50 then ...). Other variables? Are these values accurate and/or updated frequently?

Thanks for the reply. I think I have a handle on the 'status' program aspect. I've found some more postings that have been helpful, such as the one by ergodic at link below. The hard part for me was how to figure out the 'successive clicks' or ensure all were done within 5 secs or so. I believe the method below will work for me (including the time constraint). If any other ideas, let me know as I am just starting with the ISY programming. http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... sc&start=0

I am fairley new to ISY, but understanding most of it pretty well. However, I am trying to create a program that can respond to a down-down-up-down pattern of a controller (togglelinc). I want to fire an action if this pattern is detected in the controller within a 3 sec time frame (that is the pattern must be toggled within 3 sec). This is going to act as a panic switch to turn on a siren. I am pretty sure I will need 4 programs to detect the pattern, but how can I ensure the pattern is entered within 3 secs?
