Release 4.0.4 RC1 Is Now Available
OmegaQuest replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Yep. See this all the time. Not sure why, but been seeing it for quite a few versions. Personally, I chalk it up to Java. I hate it, I really do... Ive been having this issue for a few versions as well. That and the status of anything dosent report anything (status is blank) until I log off and back on a couple times. -
Same thing. Once I get into the admin section about 10-20 seconds later it asks me for my username/password for the second time while in the admin section
-
No firewall on computer and ISY IP is still the same (Static). Thanks
-
Ever since I upgraded from 3.1.17 to 3.2.6 (Lastnight) I get this strange authentication problem. When I login to the Admin GUI, everything appears fine, the Current states show up fine and then about 20 seconds later, another prompt appears asking me to login with my username/password again even though I am in. If I click cancel, I get logged off the Admin gui. If I click my username/password and click OK, I do not get the prompt again untill next time I reopen the Admin gui...

ok, so put a 1N4002 on the end of the input positive wire and hook the other end of the 1N4002 to the doorbell transformer correct?
-
That worked Great! I had an old Stereo female jack so I just cut that and wired it to the IOLinc terminals (red to S, white to +5, copper to Ground)! Thanks!
-
Interesting. Maybe I should try the same (swap the wires) because sending it back takes so much time to ever get a refund and the only other alternative is a $46 Elk ELK-930 detector...
-
But the Probe never changes the Sensor on the IOLinc to turn to the On state (even for a split second), so the ISY would never know it.
-
Arrrrrg, thanks for testing. Guess I will have to return my probe for the second time....
-
@Hoopty I got this to work for my "2" Thermostat setup without a problem.
-
The manual at: http://www.smarthome.com/manuals/8015_web.pdf is the same manual that came with my Probe.
-
If I change from 5 seconds to the following: Wait 3 seconds Repeat Every 6 seconds $Cool_Cycle_Time_Daily_6Sec += 1 Would I need to change the other values such as /= 12, /= 720 and the *=60 referances in the program?
-
I just think its strange that they sell this probe with the IOLinc and say it is for 3-24volt (AC or DC right on the probe itself) yet the sensor or relay never get triggered.
-
I did try that when I tested the 18v and the 1.5v DC Batterys. Still the same problem.
-
Thanks
-
I like the idea of the ELK option, but it is sold with 2 Doorbell and 1 phone board. I only need 1 of the doorbell boards LOL
-
I tried both ends of the wire on differant +/- combinations. One end drops the v down to 3.7 the other way dosent do anything. So I should have it on the correct polarity.
-
I even tried connecting a 1.5v AA Bat and still the IOLinc only drops from 5.02v down to 3.7v
-
I just tried the 18v Bat and still the same The GND & S terminals on the IOLinc while the Probe is plugged in and the 18v Bat is connected to the wire side of the Probe, the meter drops from 5.02v down to 3.6v
-
I already did the 18v bat test before I came here to the forums and the sensor never turns to the "On" state.
-
20 DCV Meeter setting IOLinc GND & S = 5.02v with the Probe plugged in or probe unplugged. When the doorbell rings, the GND & S drop down to 4.12v Thanks
-
Will do. Please hold.
-
10.3v when probe jack is unplugged from IOLinc. My meeter is on ACV 200. Thanks
-
This is while the Probe is plugged into the IOLinc. The Ground and Sensoer screw terminals on the IOLinc (without the Doorbell being turned on) the reading is 10.3v When the Doorbell rings, the reading drops to 8.1v at the screw terminals. Thanks
-
The Probe is not connected to the IOLinc when I tested the voltage on the Jack end of the Probe. On the Wire end of the Probe, a reading of 20v is applied when the Doorbell rings. On the Jack end of the Probe a reading of 0.2v is read when the Doorbell rings. I will check the Ground and Sensor screw terminals on the IOLinc (while the Probe is plugged into the Jack) and see what the voltage reads when the doorbell rings in a few and will report back.
