  1. Figured it out. I see that when both lights are flashing that seems to suggest it could be a network issue. I changed the Ethernet plug connecting the ISY to my switch and that seems to have solved it. I didn’t think Ethernet cables go bad but this one seems to have a damaged clip on the end so wasn’t seating properly. I think this fixed it. Thx.

  2. Thx. I have a 994i and there is no SD card in the slot. Never had one. Just now this morning both the Blue memory and Red error light started flashing together - continuous flash off and on. I unplugged and plugged it back in but still flashing.

  3. I just started having trouble accessing my ISY through MobiLinc so I went downstairs to check the ISY and noticed the blue memory light is flashing (maybe once every 4 or 5 seconds).
I can access the Admin Console through my desktop and control the lights  and all my programs are running fine but I can’t connect with MobiLinc and the flashing light suggests something is not working.

    Any thoughts? Thx in advance

  4. Thx for all the assistance. I was able to find the IP address of my ISY and I am back up and running.  (Still having terrible house wifi trouble with this new Rogers modem, but that is another story)

    Thx again.

  5. Thx - I am super averse to resetting the ISY - I should have a back up file but I if I can avoid resetting the ISY that would be best. Unfortunately Roger has the old modem. - Mine previously used 192.168

  6. Restarted the ISY again, this time I am back to a solid blue light but I am still getting get the ISY Not Found error and when I try and use my MobiLinc app - it says disconnected and won't connect to the ISY. Is it possible that there is some setting on the Rogers Modem that is blocking access?

  7. I have been using my ISY 99 on my existing Rogers router for several years. After having some home wifi trouble Rogers came and replaced my ignite Modem with a new modem and gave me new pods.
Now my Philips Hue bridge is no longer able to connect and when I try to get in to the ISY through the my desktop it’s says ISY not found.
I am now looking at my ISY and unplugged it and plugged it back in and the blue memory light and red error light are flashing.
    would appreciate any assistance pls.
    thx in advance

  8. Thx for the link. I downloaded and installed the Arm64 DMG Installer for Mac, but when I click on the My ISY Applet, I receive the same error message - Unable to locate a Java Runtime that supports Javaws - When I run the Java Installer even after "removing" and clearing the cache I am now getting an error message for Java 8 Update 431 - Failed to install Java - OS error code 1

  9. For the past 10 years or more I have been accessing my ISY 99i from my old intel based iMac and Java.
I jusy got a new Mac mini and I have been trying to access the ISY but I am receiving an error message that the app won’t run because I don’t have java runtime installed.

when I then try to install Java on this new Mac it says I need to install Rosetta (?) to allow me to use Java on a non Intel Mac.

is there another option other / way to get this working / access to my admin console?

    thx

  10. I wonder if the problem is with the 2 2443 access points. Each of the access points and the 2413S have an LED light. The 2413S which is hard wired to the ISY has a green lit LED. But the LED light on each of the access points, one of which is on the main floor and one upstairs is dark. Not lit.

No, Its the Insteon module that the black box connects to via a cable and plugs into the wall, it connects the ISY to your insteon devices. Older ones are notorious for working great for years, then acting flaky for a while, then failing

Interesting. My black box ISY is connected through an Ethernet cable downstairs in the basement and then I have 2 of the “white boxes” plugged into wall outlets upstairs and then on the second floor but they are not connected to an Ethernet cable, they are just plugged into a wall outlet

My black box (ISY) is plugged into an Ethernet cable downstairs in the basement which connects to an Ethernet switch. (My router is connected in another room). It is also plugged into an Insteon Powerlinc Serial 2413S.

I then have 2 Insteon Access Points 2443 plugged into wall outlets (not connected to any Ethernet, just plugged into a wall outlet - one on the main floor and one on the second floor)

  13. I have an ISY 994i controlling upwards of 25 insteon switches around my house.  Scenes and programs are running fine.  I "lost connection" to a couple of the insteon switches so thinking at least one them was bad, I just purchased a few new insteon switches.

I am now trying to add a new Insteon On/off 2477S (rev Nov 2024) to my ISY but I cannot seem to add it to my Admin Console.  I wired up the switch and it is controlling the light (stair lights) but when I try to add it either through "start linking" or "add new insteon advice and typing in the address of the switch", nothing seems to be happening. I press the set button on the bottom of the new switch, (it is just on/off), the bottom light turns green, but then when I try to add it - I get nothing. (when I say I Get nothing, what I mean is the admin console screen barely looks like it is doing anything - When I check the Event Viewer it says "Device Already Added, ignored" But it does not show up anywhere in my list of devices.)

My firmware is 4.9.0 and my UI is 4.9.0.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thx

  14. I was about to reply that I do not have a portal account as my recollection (could be wrong) when I looked at this a few years ago was that there was some conflict with a portal account and using MobiLinc Pro, which I use quite a bit just to turn things off and on and through Alexa.

But now I see the next post that suggests that the UDM app does not work with the 99i in any event.

    Thx

  15. Long time user of the Admin Console running on Java on my desktop to access my ISY which controls apx 40 + Insteon light switches in my home.

I also have been using MobiLinc Pro on my iOS device to control the lights and also through Alexa for voice controls.

However, I am not able to access the Admin Console and add / edit numerous Programs I have running through the MobiLinc Pro app and I need to be home in front of my computer to access the Admin Console.

Given restrictions about installing 3rd party software (including Java) on my work laptop I have been using an older computer at home to access the Admin Console.

Question - Is there any ability or app that would allow me the same level of access to the Admin Console / meaning the same ability to edit Programs, add scenes etc running on the ISY through an iOS device?

     Thank you in advance

  16. it is running all the programs (although over the past little while all of the lights have randomly shut off) but I have upwards of 20 programs controlling about 30 insteon switches and they are still running properly every day, I just can't access the ISY to change the programs.
