  1. Well............. The Insteon Din Relay does trip the GFCI breaker when wired correctly. The only way around it was to put the white neutral wire for the Din Relay underneath the white neutral wire for the GFCI breaker at the neutral bar. It appears the small coil in the Din Relay is enough to trigger the GFCI. Thanks for everyones input! E
  2. Thanks Teken! The GFCI Breakers are Leviton, so I should be good to go! Ed
  3. I am looking to use a Insteon DIN On/Off realy to power my outdoor receptacles for Xmas lights. My question is, has anyone had issues with installing one of these DIN Relays on a circuit protected with a GFCI Breaker? I attempted doing this install/configuration years ago with an X10 relay, but it tripped the GFI Breaker every time! I guess I'm just looking for a success story on this configuration Thanks! Ed
  4. Sorry it took so long for a responce, but it turned out that the "Door Down" on the opener needed to be adjusted. Thanks again for everyones help!
  5. @Xathros- Thanks, I will look further into it this evening and report back. Thanks for your input.
  6. Good morning all! A few months back I installed a insteon garage door status kit, all was well until a month or so ago. If I close the garage door using the remote from my car, it will close, but immediately go back up. I usually have to repeat this process 3-4 times until the door stays down. I would also like to add that there is a small program associated to the door that uses my isy to trigger flod lights when the garage opens when it is dark out. When the door closes those same lights are programmed to shut off. I plan to take the leads (garage door contact) off the insteon relay to see if taking the door status out allows the door to close without an issue. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Ed
  7. What program/app do you use to control your equipment via your tablet? Is it via IR blaster?
  8. Good morning everyone! I currently have a decent size installation of Keypadlincs and I/O's throughout the house with my ISY in which I primarily use the Itouch/Ipad via Mobilinc (recently thought about getting ekeypad) to operate. What I am looking for are suggestions for an affordable way to operate my Denon AVR500, Samsung TV, Samsung Bluray and my Western Digital Media player via my Itouch/Iphone/Ipad. I have seen the Logitech IR blaster (I currently have a Harmony 1 remote), but the reviews weren't so good. Any suggestions/recommendations to operate AV equipment via Ipad/Itouch would be greatly appreciated! Have a great day! Ed
  9. Michel, For some reason, after I programmed (3) different scenes last night, I cycled the keypadlincs, but they wouldn't work. I then reset the ISY (unplugged it), once it rebooted, the keypadlinc still didn't work. I then reset the ISY AGAIN, and after it rebooted the keypadlincs within the scene worked. I also had another weird thing happen last night, I currently have (5) door contacts programmed into an EZIO and have it all programmed into a scene that will notify me when armed, if any door opens. Well, last night I received random "open door" alarms several times, the alarms were for events that happened yesterday (over 8 hrs from when the alarm happened). Just so you know, I have had this door contact scene working without an incident for over 3 weeks. Any ideas? Thanks, Ed
  10. I just confirmed it is "Status" and not "Control". However, it stiill turns on the lights if the garage door is up when the sunsets.
  11. Mike, I stand corrected, I have programmed both as Controllers. This evening while programming several scenes and programs, but it seems like I have to reboot the ISY each time i'm finishing making changes. Does that make sense? The devices were all keypadlincs.
  12. I really think there is an issue with my ISY, it will not take my programming right away. I have had to reboot the whole device 3 times for it to finally take. Any idea on how to resolve that? How do you reset after you program devices?
  13. Good Afternoon folks! Ed here! I am currently puzzled right now, trying to program my Keypadlinc(s) to control another Keypadlincs Load (a Foyer Light). I created a scene (Front Foyer) I added the Load (Foyer Light) of the main keypadlinc as the Responder I then added another Keypadlinc button as a controller I have tried various toggle/non toggle, but I can't seem to get this to work. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ed
  14. oberkc, I will confirm this is on "Status" when I get home this evening. Thanks
  15. Thanks for the ideas! Not sure which one I'm going to go with. Again, this is just until I get my ELK M1 installed.
  16. So I recently wired all my external doors to my 2x4 I/O and have my ISY sending my email notification when I "ARM" this scene. What I would like to do now is have a small tone go off when ANY of these doors are opened. Has anyone used the relay out on the EZIO2X4 to trigger a Peizo of some sort for this type of annunciation? If so, how do you like it? I eventually want to install a Elk M1 when I get the funding:-) Thanks for your input! Ed
  17. Can anyone tell me whether or not my Elk M1 Panel will talk to some older wireless ITI Part# 60-641-95 Wireless Door Sensors. If so, what receiver would you recommend that I get? Thanks, Ed
  18. Ok, Programming went on without a hitch. However, there is one thing I would like to change/modify. The way it is programmed right now, if the garage door is up at Sunset the lights come on for the 15 mins. What would you recommend that I put in the program that would tell the ISY "if the garage door is open during senset, don't turn the lights on. Only turn the lights on if the garage door is opened after sunset". Does that make sense? Thanks, Ed
  19. apostolakisl, Thanks for your suggestion. I would consider this a small install, my house is just under 4k sq ft. I plan to use the slimline elk window contacts on the 10 windows on the first floor and hardwire all the doors (I've done 3 of the 6 doors already). Ed
  20. Can I get a few suggestions on what else I might need to put together my alarm system. Below is what I currently have in my job list: 1- ELK-M1GSYS4S (Includes Board, LCD Keypad, Enclosure, Battery, Transformer, Speaker and surge protector) 1- ELK-M1XRFTW Wireless Reciever 11-ELK-6021 Wireless Slimline Window Sensor 3- ELK-106063 Slimline Motion Detector Universal Device ELK Module (is this necessary?) Thanks for your ideas and suggestions, Ed
  21. Understood! Thanks for the clarification! I'm slowly catching on to this programming thing, thanks again for your guidance. Ed
  22. Oberkc, I didn't quite get your last reply, what exactly would you suggest I put in the else command? Thanks, Ed

    Does this exist?

I used the Insteon Outlet to power the blower motor and a small plug in 12v transformer that is wired to a 12v relay I had left over from a remote start install in my car. The relay closes the Solenoid to the burner. When I power on the outlet, both the blower and solenoid closes to light the fireplace. Make sense? Ed
  24. Yiiiiiiiiiipppppieee! I got my Garage scene to work after upgrading to 3.3.5., not exactly sure what caused all the previous complications. Thanks for EVERYONES help on this! Now on to one of my first complex programs. What I would like to happen is the following: When I come home at night and I open the garage door via my iPhone, I want the Garage Floods (X10device), Garage Overhead lights (Keypadlinc), and Kitchen overhead (Keypadlinc). After 10 mins I want the Garage Floods and the Garage Overheads to go out, but leave the kitchen Lights on. Would the programming look somewhat like the following? If From Sunset To Sunrise (next day) And Control 'Garage Sensor' is switched On Then Set 'Garage Flouresent' On Set 'Garage Flood Light' On Set 'Kitchen Flouresent' On Wait 10 minutes Set 'Garage Flood Light' Off Set 'Garage Flouresent' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Thanks in advance for your expertise! You guys are
  25. After reading a few posts I think I figured out how to expand the Keypadlincs, I will try to resolve this when I get home this evening.
