HA compliments the ISY extremely well. Tons of integrations, including ELK, Sonos, Plex (just to name a few). The programming is in YAML and is simple enough to understand. I do prefer the ISY programming, but the the plethora of integrations with HA make HA difficult to ignore.
Good morning,
I was wondering if anyone here has both the Elk Module on the ISY and running the Elk service on Home Assistant ? I know they both use port 2101, but was wondering if anyone here was seeing any kinds of conflicts of the service. An example would be if the M1EXP completely loses connection with the ISY, slow service or any kind of network errors.
Thanks!
I appreciate the concern but my echo is located in an area no where near the entrances to my house. I've tried to yell cmds from outside and had my wife next to the Echo and nothing happens.
Anyone had issues adding a Zwave Kwikset Door lock to the Echo? I added it to the portal and gave it a spoken name. When I try to discover devices it won't show. Everything else works perfectly.
I did set it up for device communication events, I also put the module in a different room, but I think you might be right and something just happened to the module. Do you know if Insteon back feeds a lot of noise or interference in the power lines?
I just recently merged my ISY99i with my Elk M1 Gold, everything went perfectly except the ISY stopped communication with my office lamplinc. I've set the lamplinc to factory defaults, rebooted the isy, delted the lamplinc from my isy and it still won't communicate no matter how many times i try to linc it to the isy. I pulled out my old Remotelinc and i could connect to the Lamlinc that way.

The Network Module was the prefered method, I checked out iRule and for $99 for the pro I'm gonna pass. Other than run hom automation scenes my $5 HippoRemote app does all of this. Actually if you found any progress with the Network Module with XBMC I would love to know.
I was wondering if it is at all possible to accomplish a scene in my ISY99i, that when I push the play button on my movie in XBMC will the lights dim and also when I pause the lights come back on? Mind you I'm using an iPad with HippoRemote and I'm not trying to go back and forth between HippoRemote and Mobilinc.
