Xathros- Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'll convert one of the fans that I have to fanlinc, and see how it works before I do them all.

That's what I was starting to look at. I would have to bypass the fan's controller, and install the fanlinc. I'm pretty sure that the remote/fan is RF as well.....just wondering what others were doing for something like this. Thanks for the reply.

Hello- I have a few ceiling fans in the house that are relatively new. By that, I mean that they come with a remote that controls the fan speed (Low, Medium, and High), as well as the light. The fan can also have its rotation direction reversed as well as turned off. The light can be dimmed as well. Currently, I have them connected to the Insteon 2477S, which works okay. The only issue that I have is that when I turn the switch on, the light comes on for the fan, but the fan itself does not come on. I have to use the remote to turn the fan to low, or medium, or high. I wanted to see if anyone here had the same issue, and if you had a different setup for this case. I would like to be able to turn on the fan portion via Insteon as well as control the light of the fan as well. This would allow me to use the ISY to run programs at certain times of the day to help keep the rooms in the house cool. Thanks.

I'm about ready to give up.... I changed the program for my family room lighting. Here is what I have. When I turn on the lights from the family room light, the lights go to 100%, and the LED goes to 100%. I checked the summary for the program, and it did run the IF statement, so I assume that it should be in the THEN portion, setting the on level to 30%. I didn't think that I was asking too much of the ISY/Insteon system.....I was trying to have the lights go to a less than 100% setting during the later hours of the evening/early morning hours. If it was outside of that time, then they would go to 100% setting. Thanks.

spoke too soon.....things are not working as I thought they would. I used the same program for my family room lighting. I have two switches in that scene, one connected to the load, and one being used as a slave. If I go to the scene itself, both the family room light and family room light slave have their on levels set to 100%. Lee- I am an idiot. I see the problem. In your program, it was looking at the time in the if statement. My program was looking for the time AND the switch to be turned on. I tried your program, and it worked exactly how I want it to. Thanks for your help.

Lee- Thanks for the reply. What I am trying to do is set the on level for the first press of the paddle to 30% after 1:00 pm. If I press the switch once, it would turn on the lights in the living room to 30% brightness. What actually happens when I press the switch once, the light turns on to 100%. Thanks.

LeeG- Here is the log file. I cleared it out, and made sure the light was off. I went to the switch, and pressed the on paddle one time. The lights came on to the percentage that I have set in the program that I'm running. Hopefully, the log file makes sense....I'm still looking through it.

Alan- That's what I thought as well...but I have never been able to get any of my switches to work this way. What you described is EXACTLY what I am looking for. One tap to one setting, a double tap to 100%....I'm going to try what LeeG suggested. Thanks.

Hi Lee- You've helped me in the past a lot, and I appreciate it. The quick double tap of the switch does turn on the lights 100% with little/no ramp rate. The switch is connected to a load, so it sounds like I will not be able to control the brightness the way that I thought I would be. I will take a look at changing the program. Thanks again. Hi- I've looked around, and I can't seem to figure this out. I have a switch (2477D) that controls 5 canned lights. I have upgraded the bulbs in the fixtures to LEDs. I would like to be able to have two different brightness settings, on for when you hit the paddle to on, and one for when you hit the paddle for fast-on (quick double press). I found a program that sets the brightness based on the time of day, but I can't figure out how to set the brightness the way that I want. For example, I would like to be able to press the on button, and have the lights go to 50% brightness. If I press the on button twice quickly (fast-on), I would like the lights to go to 100% brightness. Here is the program that I'm using. Thanks for any hints you can provide. I'm trying to set up a program that only runs during a specific time of day. During that time, if someone turns a light switch on, I would like the system to send me an e-mail. I wrote the program below, and it does work. I get e-mails when a switch is turned on. The only problem is that I get the e-mails outside of the time frame that I'm interested in. Not to thread-jack....but I have a similar problem as well. I've got a tankless heater at my home, and it takes a while for hot water to reach the kitchen sink. This is the furthest hot/cold location from the water heater. I wanted to see what people here thought of this unit. rmlinnovator- Thanks for the reply. I will give that a try, and see how it works. I think that my Wife may be getting used to the keypad at 0 (dimly lit) because she hasn't asked about it in the past couple of days. The other thing that I may do is take the keys off, and put some window tint on the inside of the on/of keys. I had to do that with the AC display that we had that was too bright. Thanks again.

Leeg- Firmware: (2486S/WH6) KeypadLinc Relay v.36 In the admin console, I have the brightness for the LED set as ON: 12, OFF: 2. The LEDs function the way that I would expect, but I just would like to turn off the LED between the hours that I described. Thanks.

Hi- I've got a 6 button KPL in the master bedroom at my house. It is a controller for an in line relay module that controls the power to the overhead ceiling fan. At night, I usually run the fan, but turn the light off using the fan's remote control. I am using the program below in an attempt to turn off the LEDs on the KPL (Wife says that they are too bright). The program seems to work, but when the fan is on, the ON button on the KPL is illuminated. Is there any way to fix this? Here is what I'm trying to achieve: If the hour is between 8:00 pm and 8:00 am the next day, turn the brightness off on the KPLs buttons. Here's the program: Thanks for any suggestions.
