As mentioned, I have text alerts for my garage door I would like to keep using it for both email and text alers... Under Email Notifications/Settings Groups I have 2 contacts: 1. Is a Gmail account and works fine 2 . Is a Verizon text account - (CellNumber@vtext.com) - that used to work and not longer does ... Any ideas why this might not work anymore? Set up is pretty straight forward and simple...

sorry,, heres what I was trying to do: I have a dead switchlinc that I am not going to replace The switch is part of a scene that also includes a button on a keypad linc to control the switch as well. I removed the switch from my ISY dashboard but could not figure out how to remove the associated button on the KPL.

I did all of this .. If I have a 6 button KPL and want to remove Button D (Kitchen). I go down to the scene called Kitchen lights and right click-remove from scene but Button D Kitchen lights is still in the keypad link grouping up top so I go the there and right click delete to remove the button .. It then asks if you want to remove the ENTIRE KPL... Same with disable ... If I go to button D / Kiichen lights and right click disable .. it disables all the other buttons as well

For what its worth, I am removing the keypads one by one then re ingesting them with links cleared ... A pain in the A$$ but not that bad..

Thanks, and I have done all that. The problem is when I look at my keypads in the ISY admin concole, the Kitchen Light is still on/assigned to both keypads. If I right click and try to disable or delete, it wants to delete all the other button assignments on the keypad as well.

Hello and thanks in advance. I have 2 Keypadlinc's that I need to remove 1 buttons function that links to a lightswitch that is no longer in use.. Lets call the button to remove ---> KITCHEN LIGHTS I can not figure out how to do this without wiping the whole Keypad and starting over.. When I go to delete the name of that button or disable it, all the other buttons are included in the request.. I have individually removed Kitchen lights from all scenes and then deleted the scene and the individual Kitchen Lights switch... But still have the Kitchen light button on the keypads I need to remove... Again, thanks for any guidance.

Well. I upgraded phone from 7.1.1 to 8.1.1 and that fixed the problem although it seems like that should not be a problem in the first place.

Any help here appreciated .. I use mobilinc connect for out of band access to my system. All is well except Mobilinc is not updating the status of my switches .. On / off/ open/ closed .etc.. Can not figure out why this could be as the setup is simple and I have been using it for years but it has been unused for a while due to a bad PLM that was replaced. ISY99i Iphone 5 ISY dashboard and phone can control everything, Admin console updates any changes as they are made but its not being updated on the phone. Thanks. N

Hi and thanks. Forgot username / password so I reset the ISY .. (hold pin down for 5 seconds, etc.) When I pull up the user panel and put in admin admin and log in .. I then change the user and pass to my prefered choice.. Then.. I upload an old settings file to restore all my settings but it seems to keep uploading the old usernam and password so it locks me out again ... Am I doing something wrong here/>? THanks

I can confirm the IO linc issue. Went back to 3.2.6 and working as normal again.

Thanks ! That at least confirms the problem. Could you tell me what version I should download to so I can have it running normal? I see 3.2.6 as the latest relase and 3.3.1 as the prior beta.. T

the switch is mounted on the garage door rail and the magnet on the top of the garage door in a way where the 2 would only connect if the door was fully opened ... sensor status on mobilinc and isy are actually showing the same ... When the door is closed the switch and magnet show OFF As soon as I open the door, the status of switch goes to ON even though the magnet is 10-12 feet away ... Yesterday I upgraded to the latest 3.2 as well as updated the mobilinc app in itunes.. I do not know if any of the upgrades are related to my new problem but here it is and thanks for any help. 1. I have isy set up to send me a text when the garage door is closed as well as being able to monitor real time status of the sensor(opened/closed) 2. I have the garage door kit (io linc) set up in reverse mode and in Mom C-- when sensors are on it is open, when sensors are off door is closed Here is what I am seeing: When I open the garage .. it takes approx 5 seconds for the door to fully open and for the sensors to move into the on position (where they are close to each other) The problem is that now when I open the garage the sensor status immeadiatley shows "ON" even though the sensors are not together .. if that makes sense It seems like the sensor status is being based on the relay being turned on or off and not by if the sensors are actually detecting each other or not ... Is there something I am missing here in the settings? I hope that makes sense..ignore spelling errors!

The sensor is mounted so that when the door is fully opened it connects with the magnet ... when you close the door, after that first 5 inches of travel the sensor is now no longer connected with the magnet and the text is sent stating the door is closed before the door actually finishes moving into the closed postion.

I have the following script for my garage door to let me know when it is shut: If status of "garage sensor" is off Then send notification to "ME" content "garage door is closed" Else No actions. I also have a notification sent to me if the garage door is open for more than 60 minutes. One thing I noticed is if you close the garage door but something is in the way of the safety sensors, the garage door would reverse back to open but the sensor would have triggered off during this time and sent me a text that it was closed. Anyone have an idea of how I could add a statement to check the garage door status 5 minutes after the notification was sent? Something like: wait 5 mintues, if sensor is still off then do nothing, otherwise send text garage door open. If it matters, I have it set up backwards so when the sensors are ON the door is open and when they are OFF the door is closed. Thanks again for the help.

SO the other day my IO linc was acting up, went be the store and replaced it. New one worked for a bit then dissapeared ... Isy would show the sensor status but could not control the Relay. Got another one .. Now this one would not link so I finally brought it in my office where ISY is located, linked it, put it back out in the garage and all is well. Any idea why I had to link it that way? _____________________________________________ Part 2 When I open or close the garage the Relay status stays on for 10 or so minutes ... Is there a reason for that or a way to make it turn off quicker? Thanks again for any help.

Thanks, THat is what is confusing me ... I want to be able to hit button H on my keypad and have it turn off different scenes .. Cant figure it out ...

Sorry to bother and thanks in advance.. Can someone take the time to tell me how to make an all off switch on my KPLinc? I can not figure out what needs to be dragged into the scene and if it should be a controller or responder ... It would be 3 switches and some other buttons on 2 key pads... Thanks again.

Hi Lee. THe prob I am having is they are dropping off the radar .. I can see the status of the sensor but can not use the Relay to open / close, I have been by the SHome store 3 times this week trying to resolve.. I will factory reset it, link it, it will work, then it will dissapear after XX amount of minutes .. Originally I thought this was somehow weather related as it started during a time we were having storms but then I looked at my backup history and realized this was also the same time I went from 3.1.17 to 3.2.xx I am in the process of reverting back to .17 and am going to see if that solves the issues.. I only use Mobilnc to see the status so the IO is not linked to anything else .. I use Mobilinc to see if the sensor is on or off and to cycle the door via the relay .. which is in MomC .. Up to this point, I have had zero prob's with ISY since I purchased it earlier this year ..

I have been having trouble with IO Linc connectivity (garage door kit) .. We have swapped out 3 now and am starting to think it is related to upgrading from 3.1.17

Hi and thanks. Yes the IO linc is connected to the garage door button circuit and the sensor. This has been the setup for quite some time and I have never had any problems with it . The smarthome Garage door kit shows up as 2 parts on Mobilinc. .. 1. The sensor which shows a status of off (closed) or on(open).. 2. the IO linc which allows you to send a cycle command to open or close the garage door I did the install and as mentioned above it has worked fine until the storms last week. I was having ISY communication issues during this time as well .. Wondering if extra humidity or power surges from bad weather could have caused the IO linc do it .. I am swapping out the IO linc today at Smarthome and sending the error report for the isy to UD to make sure it was nothing on that end.. Mobilinc has been ruled out after speaking with thier team.

Hi and sorry for the delay. I misread your previous post.. THe IO Linc is connected to the garage door sensor .. I use mobilinc to get an update on the sensor status but have nothing else programed to show the status (ie a lamp, light, etc.). The only way I get the status of the GD sensor is with my iphone. I am trying to determine if this is a smarthome/isy/mobilinc issue so I can troubleshoot with the approp. compnay.

I do not have the IO linc turning anything off or on .. just get the updated status on my iphone w mobilinc... And the door is moving which causes the change in the sensor status ... I was in my office over the garage and heard the door motor moving, closed it, then 2 minutes later it was opening again.. I have no idea what would cause this to happen.. And I can not tell if it is the ISY, the mobilinc software, or the IO linc... Anyway to isolate this? And thanks for the help btw..

Hi and thanks, It is raining pretty good here in souther cal and for some reason this afternoon my garage door keeps opening on its own .. I have had ISY installed w Mobilinc now for probably 4 months and have never had this happen. I chalked it up to the weather and unplugged the garage door from the smarthome Garage door kit for the evening but am still getting messages on my phone that the garage door is opened...? Any suggestions or should I possbibly reset ISY .. running 3.1.17.. Thanks again

Hi and thanks .. Was reading the forum and got me thinking about my own setup and if it is correct. I have the Insteon Gdoor kit and have the sensor mounted so that when the garage door is open the sensor is ON. The sensor is set at Mom C ..for no real reason except that I picked one on setup.. Besides the remotes and car button, I use Mobilinc to open and close the garage ... I also use mobilinc to show me the Sensor status with On being Garage open and Off being garage closed ... I do not use any keypad's other other devices to monitor the garage status... With that in mind .. is Mom C the correct setting? It has worked fine so far with no problems but maybe I am missing something... The only complain I have is that the relay shows ON for quite sometime after opening and.or closing the garage door.. Thoughts .. if any. Thanks,
