  1. Thanks Steve, I followed your instructions and it's still behaving the same, any other suggestions?
  2. I have an ISY99i and I haven't used it for a while to make changes, I was trying to update a device today but I'm not able to run the console. Initially I was getting the Java plugin has expired and it won't let me run at all. I read the forum and got the console and even downgraded the Java version I have. Now I can bring up the console but I'm not able to poll status, although I can control any devices by pushing the command from the interface. Any changes I made don't seem to take effect until I get out and restart the console. However, I don't see any popups when it tries to update any devices, led me believe all programming would still be in the devices not getting cleaned up. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I'm thinking for Insteon to X10, I need to use "Control" rather than "Status" to trigger so it would look like this: Insteon - A1 On --> If Control 'Bedroom Lights' is Switched On, then Send X10 'A1/On (3)' Insteon - A1 Off --> If Control 'Bedroom Lights' is Switched Off, then Send X10 'A1/Off (11)' Then they would get triggered when there's a command received?
  4. My automation/security system is HAI, which it doesn't support Insteon. I've been replacing my aging Smarthome X10 switches with Insteon, probably about 70% now are Insteon based. I just got this ISY99 device and start programming, without knowing much into programming Insteon, I thought I would ask a few questions if it's okay. Basically I'm hoping with all the Insteon capable devices, I'm going to remove their x10 addresses. With KeypadLincs, all buttons for controlling other loads will also be based on Insteon from now on, more reliable than with status request from X10. The trick is, to maintain compatibility between HAI and Insteon, I think I need to create a few programs per device such as: X10 - A1 On --> If X10 'A1/On (3)' is received, then Set 'Bedroom Lights' On X10 - A1 Off --> If X10 'A1/Off (11)' is received, then Set 'Bedroom Lights' Off Insteon - A1 On --> If Status 'Bedroom Lights' is On, then Send X10 'A1/On (3)' Insteon - A1 Off --> If Status 'Bedroom Lights' is Off, then Send X10 'A1/Off (11)' I believe this will allow status update between 2 protocols (i.e. X10 and Insteon)? However, I don't know how it happens, but somehow I got into a loop with one switch, it would just toggle on/off continuosly. P.S. If I do a factory reset of a switch, will it remove X10 address automatically including all keypad buttons if they're assigned? Thanks for your help.
  5. Thank you, I'm starting to understand the logic, I must be in X10 for the longest time, can't really get a good grip on how to program these Insteon switches, even pairing I don't have much success between switches. I've attached a screenshot of my lights and scenes so far, at the very top I have a KeypadLinc named: Basement Ceiling Fixtures Below that it shows 4 buttons At the bottom I created a scene for Basement Ceiling Fixtures, then I added the switch below, as well as another Keypad button that I'd like to control the fixtures. Both are set as controllers, am I doing it right? Or should I be doing something else? Much appreciate your help.
  6. I'm having issues now with 2 of my older KeypadLinc switches (non Insteon). Pressing any button the whole switch will go black (all backlit LEDs would go out), then it comes back after few seconds. I'm guessing a bad switch, going to replace them on the weekend.
  7. I just installed ISY99 to my system, I've been using Smarthome X10 devices throughout the house. In the last few years, I have been replaced bad modules to Insteon/X10 version. I currently have HAI security panel, along with an ACT X10 coupler/repeater. With this new ISY99, I was able to get scenes created within the interface and it found the devices with their model #, very impressive. I do have a question, all my Insteon KeypadLincs all show up like this: Switch1 Switch1 - A Switch1 - B Switch1 - C Switch1 - D I have "Switch1 - A" linked to Switch2, so if I press "Switch1 - A", it will turn on "Switch2". Press again it will turn off "Switch2". Only issue I have is, if I press "Switch2" locally, the status on "Switch1 - A" is not being reflected. Is that something I need to do when linking these devices? Or I need to write a program so it will update the status? For programming a specific button, can I just assign say "Switch1 -B" to "Switch3" somewhere in the GUI? Rather than using the linking mode within the switches? Much appreciate your help.
