  1. I just had the XL824 installed yesterday with a new HVAC unit and I'm not sure if its going to work, at least with the current software it has. The XL824 includes a Nexia bridge and you have to enroll it with Nexia to even enable the Nexia/Zwave menus. At that point I can get options to include/exclude other Z-wave devices, but don't see any options to include the thermostat as a device on another controller. The manual talks about being able to put the bridge into a "repeater" mode if you have another Nexia Bridge on your Nexia account, but that would involve an investment in the bridge and the monthly investment in the account. Its looks like this is the initial rev of the thermostat software, so its probably something that could be added considering most of their other thermostats can be added that way. If there is anything anyone wants me to try playing with, let me know.
  2. I purchased a ISY99i with a 2413S PLM through smarthome ~2 months ago. Due to some travel, I've just gotten around to getting things setup. I'm having a heck of a time getting anything working with the setup though. With everything connected, when the device powers up the Rx and Tx LED will come on solid. The memory LED will blink briefly and shut off and then both the memory and error LEDs will come on solid. With the PLM not connected, everything behaves the same except for the memory and and error LEDs coming on at the end. I'm also unable to connect to the device at all via the network. I can see the device being assigned an IP from my router and I can successfully ping the box. When I try to connect through the java applet I get 2 error popups: "Socket Open Failed java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: no further information." and "XML Parse Error http://192.168.1.10:50552/0/d.xml" . I'm also unable to telnet to the device. I get these same errors wether the PLM is connected or not. I've tried doing a factory reset via the button on the front and trying a different SD card. Is there anything else I'm missing here or do I have a bum unit/PLM? Thanks for any insight. -Damon
