I have only tried using the apps on my Local Network. Have not yet tried remotely.

I have MobiLinc HD and UD Mobil. Neither of the apps work. I can go to settings and sync each of the apps with my ISY 994 without a problem but when I try to turn on/off a device in either of the apps, I get nothing. Also, MobiLinc HD does not show the status of each device. I can logon to ISY Portal and operate any of my devices. My echo operates devices as normal. Also, ISY Admin Console (LAN) works as normal.

In the Admin Console (LAN)>Configuration tab>Portals sub tab, shows on line but NOT registered?? Isnt "not registered" a problem? How do I register again?

In the Portal, the online circle is green. In the Admin Console (LAN)>Configuration tab>Portals sub tab: shows as on line but not registered?? In the Portal>Tool>iIformation>ISY Portal Access License: license expiry 2024-08-08 I just renewed my Portal license a day or two ago.

I have an ISY-994 Pro connected to my router which is connected to a modem (in bridge mode). I have an assigned internal IP address. I am using the UD Portal. My admin console (Help>About) indicates "Internet Access: Disabled". What can I try to get internet access back to my ISY-994 PRO? The attached file is my UD Portal error log. I am using ISY firmware ver 5.3.4. Error Log.pdf

Hi Geddy, Thanks for the help so far. If I open my MobiLinc HD app, and goto settings>Location Settings>Locations and tap on "New Geofence", I can not turn on "Update State Variable" (see attachment). If I turn that switch on, i get the error msg: "Communication Error. Could not communicate with ISY. Please try again". If I go to any of the devices, I am able to turn on/off other devices.

Hi Guys, Newbe here. I am using an ISY994 ver 5.3.3. Below are a series of ISY994 programs for turning lights on based on GeoFence boundries. These programs worked in the past but now the lights come on every night. I am using MobiLinc GeoFence. I have setup two variables in my ISY: iPhone_-_Fred_Home-100M /Init=1 /Value=1 X /Init=1 /Value=1 Following are the three ISY programs: GeoFence Away If $iPhone_-_Fred_Home-100M is 0 And $X is 1 Then $X=0 Else No Actions GeoFence Home If $iPhone_-_Fred_Home-100M is 1 And $X is 0 Then Enable Program 'GeoFence Lights' Run Program 'GeoFence Lights' (If) Wait 10 seconds Disable Program 'Geofence Lights' $X =1 Else No Actions GeoFence Lights If From Sunset To Sunrise (next day) Then Set 'Outdoors / OH Door Lights' On Wait 5 seconds Set 'MBR / Lamp - MBR Windows' On Wait 5 seconds Set 'Living Room / Lamp = Piecrust Table' On Else No Actions The lights come on every night now. Can anyone help me with what I am doing wrong?

It was the routine that needed an action attached to it. Thank you both for your help. I appreciate the effort.

Newbie here, Help please setting up a scene to turn a list of lights off at Bedtime. I am using version 5.5.3. I have a list of lamplincs that I want to turn off using a scene called Bed Time: In my ISY, when I turn ON the "Bed Time" scene, the lights go off. I have entered the "Bed Time" scene into my UD Portal account with the spoken label as "Good Night". In my Alexa I discovered the scenes and Bed Time is indeed there. When I tell Alexa "Good Night" nothing happens. Where do I tell the Bed Time scene to turn off the lights? Should the "Action" for each of the devices shown above be "On"? Please help.
-
So sorry everyone. I figured it out. I had a "routine" setup in my Amazon Echo. When I originally removed the scene from my echo, it also removed the action portion of the routine. All I had to do was to add the action portion of the routine back and Voila, it now works perfectly. Please note, setting up or editing a routine can only be done on an iPhone, cant be done with a windows system.

One of my LampLinc Dimmer modules broke lately so I bought a new LampLinc Dimmer to replace the broken one. In my ISY-99i, I first removed the device from a scene called "Bed Time", then I removed the device from the ISY-99. The scene "Bed Time" has 8-10 on-off modules in it, so I did not remove the scene from my ISY, I only removed the one device. Next I removed the device and scene from my ISY Portal and then from my Echo. Next I added the new module and copied the new device to the "Bed Time" scene in my ISY-99i. While in the ISY-99, I tried turning the scene on and then off, all worked well. Next, I added the scene to my ISY Portal and exited the Portal. Then opened my echo and hit the discover button under Smart Home > Devices. The echo found the scene. I then exited the echo. Now when I ask my Echo to turn off Bed Time, nothing happens. Not only does the new device not turn off, non of the devices in the "Bed Time" scene do not turn off. Although, the Echo does say ok, which leads me to believe the Echo recognizes the scene but does not execute the sequence. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks Lee, but I tried again to enter a new program. I entered the IF statement using the "Schedule" button then I highlighted the Then statement and looked through the choices of the "Condition" and "Action" buttons but could not find "Set Scene". The Closest I could find is under the "Action" button, "Adjust Scene" was listed. I am sure this is simple but just can't seem top get it to work.

I just upgraded from an ISY-99i PRO to and ISY-994i PRO and noticed that I do not have a "3am Query" in my programs list. Shouldn't I add one? I understand that the following is the code for this nightly query: Code: If Time is 3:00:00AM Then Set Scene 'My Devices' Query Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I tried adding this code as a new program and entered the "If" statement but could not figure out how to enter the "Then" statement. What am I missing?

I do have the X-10 module installed on my ISY-99i. The question is, though, should I add the doorbell X-10 devices to my ISY, since the ISY may not offer any benefit to doing this. Or, is there a benefit to adding the devices to my ISY that I am not aware of? Secondly, should I not use my legacy X-10 devices or use something else that would do a better job?
-
I have an ISY-99i and am using a legacy X-10 Powerflash Interface (PF284 - Controller) and an X-10 Remote controlled chime (RSC15 - Responder) for doorbell extension. Two questions: 1. Should these devices be added to my ISY-99i? I doubt the ISY would do anything for this system. If so, as a scene? 2. Is there a better way to do doorbell extensions?

Yes, I am using the optional ISY X10/A10 module but the ISY status for ControLinc controlled X10 devices is consistantly not correct. The Insteon devices controlled by the ControLinc, now that I have changed the link, consistantly has the correct ISY status.
-
OK. So, for X-10 devices controlled by my ControLinc, I can turn them off/on without problem. The only issue is the ISY/Mobilinc does not know the correct on/off status when switched by the ControLinc. Correct?
-
Thanks for the help Lee. I got the Insteon ToggleLinc working well with the ControLinc as a controller. Can I do the same with an X-10 responder? Button 2 on my ControLinc controls an X-10 lamp module. First I have to remove the ControLinc/Lamp Module link and the X-10 lamp module does not have a set button.
-
Ok, I think I understand now. The ToggleLinc is the only responder and the ControLinc and MobiLinc are the two Controllers in my comments above. You are right about what I was talking about as a link between the ISY and the ToggleLinc. I thought of this as a link, the same as the link between the ControLinc and the ToggleLinc. This (what I incorrectly called a link) was when the device (ToggleLinc) was added to the ISY. So, I will leave this "link" alone. As I previously mentioned, I think I understand now. I will try it out this evening. Thanks so much for your help and patience.

I would like to control a single device (ToggeLinc) with two different controllers (ControLinc & ISY/MobiLinc). Currently, I am controlling this device with two controllers, but the ISY/MobiLinc controller does not pick up the ControLinc status changes (on/off status) because the ControLinc is directly linked to the device. From your comments above, I understand that I need to delete the direct link between the ControLinc and the device, and I presume, I need to delete a second link between the ISY and the device. Currently, the ISY (controller) is setup as a direct link to the device (responder) not as a scene. When I delete the link between the ControLinc and the device, as you described above, will that delete the link between the ISY and the device, as well as the link between the ControLinc and the device?? If so, all I have to do is: 1) Remove the link between the ControLinc and the device (first link) 2) Remove the device from the admin console on my ISY (second link) 3) Create an ISY scene with one of the ControLinc buttons (Controller) and the device (responder) 4) Add a device (responder) on my ISY for the ToggeLinc to be controlled by MobiLinc Will this work, or do I still not get it?
-
Thanks Lee, I will give it a try. One more question though. Currently, in addition to having a direct link between my ControLinc button and a device, I also have my ISY-99 linked to that same device so that I can also turn on/off that device via MobiLinc (my iPad). I presume, I will also have to remove that ISY link before making a scene for the ControLinc button? Then, once I make a scene on my ISY with the ControLinc as a controller, how can I use my iPad/MobiLinc to control that device also? So, would the steps be: 1) Remove ControLinc/Device link. 2) Remove ISY/Device link. 3) Create ISY scene with ControLinc as controller and device as responder. 4) MobiLinc?? - Use newly created scene to control device??

I have the same problem as described in the previous comments in this topic. I have a ControLinc 2430 and an ISY-99i. I have linked one device to each of the buttons on the ControLinc "outside" of the ISY and do not get the correct on/off status on my ISY when I use the ControLinc to turn on/off a device. From reading the posts in this topic, I understand that I need to delete the links created by the ControLinc, then make a scene in my ISY containing the ControLinc and one of the devices to be controlled by the ControLinc. Question: Would I make this new ISY scene to include the ControLinc (as controller) and ONE of the devices (matching one of the buttons on the ControLinc) to be controlled (as responder)? If so, how does this scene know which button on the ControLinc is linked to this device? If this is correct, I would then make a new scene for each of the buttons on the ControLinc?

I have a new small LED spot light which sits on the floor and shines up into a plant in my livingroom. I plugged the spot light into a ApplianceLinc 2456S3 ver4.9. My ISY turns it on/off without a problem but when turned off, the spot light flashes on/off every 3-4 seconds. Any idea what is causing this?
