I installed the z-wave matter board per the instructions for IoX Release v5.5.2. Now the ISY is not found. I can get into polisy. Polisy says it recognizes the ISY, but the user name and password need to be set. Okay, so I re-input (same credentials) via the settings in polisy. No change. If I try via web browser: https://x.x.x.x:8443/desc, I received the following error: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to x.x.x.x:8443. You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert. I also also updated and cleared java. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Does anybody know if there's a yamaha AVR node server being designed or created? Really would like to see one. I see a generic one, onkyo, and russound, but no yamaha. And yes I would pay for it.

Happy new year to all automation nerds! Can someone please tell me what are the advantages to upgrading from polisy to eisy? I have just migrated to polisy about a year ago. Infact, I purchased the z-wave/matter module (haven't installed it yet, because I saw there were some firmware issues to be rectified). I think those have been resolved. I'm just trying to get a read as to what I would be gaining from the upgrade other than the noted video outputs and increased memory. Much thanks, Dan

Hello, I'm having a problem where communication only takes place from the ISY to the sonos app. Whereas when I make a change from the phone app (Start/stop music, next song, etc...) Nothing changes on the admin console..... I recently migrated from ISY to IOP.... Had to reload all the nodes. If my memory serves me correct there was a Sonos control node. I don't see that anymore with the new install. My Sonos hardware is all first generation S1. I've stopped and started the node server, no change. Even deleted and reloaded the NS....no-go. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Jtsao... I may have to use it. As I'm getting an SMTP error from Gmail I can't seem identify what the problem is. Thanks for the info.

Yep.... I started looking deeper. I see this is an issue everywhere. I'm just going to use Gmail and call it a day. Thank you

Hello all... I recently migrated to IOP. Didn't go as smooth as I would have hoped for, but nonetheless, I'm back up and operational. Having a problem with my text notifications not coming through. I submitted a ticket to the folks UDI and was told my carrier (Verizon) is blocking or throttling me from receiving text messages because of too much activity. UDI then shuts me down because the traffic is bouncing on their servers. I never had this problem prior to the migration from the 944i. The program I have for the notification is tied to my garage door opening and closing, four maybe, five times a day. I reached out to Verizon's tier 3 tech support to inquire about the possibility of me being blocked or throttled down from alerts@universal-devices.com. They couldn't find anything. Email notifications are fine. Is anyone else having or had this issue? If so, what was your remedy? I really, need to have this functionality. Anyway, I guess I'm blocked again, no texts today

I received my Polisy back after having it reflashed... Was able to get the ISY finder, to see ISY running on the Polisy, good there. I launch it and it looks like a slicked ISY (no data). I attempt to set a password everything looks good, but nothing takes. As test I set the user ID (admin) as admin and and password as: password. Nothing. I have tried several different combos of ID's and passwords, even attempting to set one of the provided users available accounts, still nothing. I login to Polisy, it replies back it sees an ISY but I the password needs to be set. Am I missing something? Thank you in advance,

Hello all... My ISY power supply looks to have failed. The green idiot light is pulsing fast along with the blue power light on the ISY. Currently unplugged. I have read several articles stating the ISY can operate within a wide range input voltage, 5-12 volts. I'm looking for confirmation on this. I actually have a Polisy, that is currently down as well. Waiting on a USB dongle so the guys from UDI can remote into it to fix it. Can I use the Polisy power supply while I order a replacement??? If I can't use the Polisy PS, what should I look for regarding a replacement locally?? Thanks NEVER MIND, I WENT DIGGING THROUGH MY ODDS AND ENDS. FOUND A 5 VOLT POWER SUPPLY. I'M UP AND RUNNING!

Thanks for your input and everybody else's recommendations. Not much spare time these days, between work and vacations, etc... And my laptop crashed. Needless to say I didn't do a good job at backing up my data, so I've been speeding way too much time getting ALL that in order. I'm running an ISY with the separate Polisy. I only have four nodes running on it, ROKU, SONOS, DSC Alarm, and a weather node. Not sure about PG3 or PG2. When I have time to really dig into this thing I'll let ya know the results, but I'm leaning on just doing the factory reset. Start from scratch, get he ISY on it and reload the nodes. I think it will be good practice. Again, thanks for the responses.

Sorry, I should have stated that in my initial request, yes I did that... https for 443 and http for 80. It's a no-go :(. Anything else???
-
Hi.... I was having issues between my ISY and Polisy. So without going into too much detail I changed the Polisy port from 443 to 80, now I'm totally locked out. I don't like to bother you all too much, tried to look for info as to how to recover or zeroize the unit. Can't find anything. So.... If someone would point me in the right direction as to logging into this to this thing, or recover it, I'd really appreciate it. My real problem is that the ISY wasn't seeing the nodes as part of a program. Will re-attack that once I can get back in. Much thanks

Thanks for the info guys, but I'm not tracking how SSH'g into Polisy will enable me to update the system with the ISY OS. Thought that would be an action from the dashboard??? Anyway.... I tried all options as noted above for the ISY launcher to recognize Polisy. Nothing worked. Back to my original question, once I SSH into Polisy, what needs to happen to get the ISY OS on Polisy??? As I'm understanding things ..... ISY launcher needs the recognize Polisy before anything else can be accomplished. That should be the first hurdle to get over???? In the meantime I'll order a the Zooz Z-Wave 700 series USB Stick so I'll be ready to migrate my Z-wave devices. Here's a snapshot of my Polisy dashboard for reference

I'll try not to get too long on this. But I need some clarification on three points. I have both the ISY and Polisy. The ISY runs the majority of my home automation. I'm using the Polisy for a few minor functions, alarm interface, Roku, and weather data, that's about it. My questions are: -- Is the Polisy a replacement for the ISY? I'm seeing posts where users are migrating all of their automation functions to the Polisy as their primary home automation platform. I thought Polisy was designed to work in partnership with the ISY. I look around the dashboard of Polisy, I can't even locate anything to add Insteon like devices, let alone how to configuring them. -- Second, I saw a notification that some of the node servers were down and users could impacted. It was my understanding everything ran natively on Polisy like the ISY, so users wouldn't be impacted by cloud failures, such as the recent Insteon hub users that were left high and dry when Smarthome went belly up. -- Lastly I was able to pick up a USB based PLM in the event my serial unit crashes (It's nuts what people are paying for used serial PLM's on Ebay). The only way to go that route would be through the Polisy, via one of its USB ports, yes? If this is true, I suppose I'd have obtain a USB driver/amp because my polisy and ISY are at one end of the house and the PLM is on a dedicated outlet next to the service panel connected via dedicated network run. Probably going to break the 30 meter USB threshold. Any feedback/clarification or links to articles would be much appreciated. Thank you...

Thanks for everyone's input. I'm currently away on business, after I get and have some free time I'll explore these options. Again thanks for responding.

My apologies on this topic... I'm sure it's bee beat to death but I can't find the simple answer I'm looking for. Maybe there's not one???? Anyway, I'm in lock down and going through my to-do list. One item is to program my ISY to give a true status of my garage door utilizing only the one button assigned to open and close the door. I was never able to get the button to display the actual status of the garage door regardless if the button was depressed. My work around has been to assign a separate KPL button as a status light to reflect whether the door was opened or closed, although it works as intended, it's not what I would desire. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been using two RCS TZ45's for about two years now. Integrated fine, no issues.

Hi guys.... Well I got home and go figure. Had it setup as status and not control. Works like a charm. Really appreciate all of the input from everyone. Thanks!
-
I think you guys are probably right... The more I ponder this I bet it's set up as a STATUS condition and NOT control. I'll take a look see when I get home. I appreciate all the feedback from everyone, I'll let you know the outcome when I get back home. Cheers!

Hi Oberkc, I'm out of town at the moment, so can't test any of this. You're absolutely right, simple program. But the issue is .... that we leave the garage door open all day. Then when sunset hits it executes the program that turns on the lights and sends a notification. I want to prevent it from doing this if the door is already open. I only want this program to execute at the actual time I open the door. I have never worked with variables. But was thinking that if I could have some sort of timer sequence to launch after the door opened (say 3 seconds), and the program could ONLY be executed within that window, that inturn would prevent the program to execute at any other time, like when tho door is left open all day and sunset triggers it. But if you could think of something else that would give the same result, I'd sure appreciate some advise. Are you savvy with variables?
-
It just hit me.... To correct this I think all I have to do is make another condition, for the program to look at the status of the garage sensor when in the open condition. If open, don't launch the program.
-
OK, so I have a program that during the time of sunset to sunrise the next day when the garage door opens it turns on lights and sends a notification that the door has been opened. No problem works fine. The issue is, that we tend to leave our garage door open all evening after work, until a set time when another program closes it automatically. That programs works fine. The rub being.... When sunset hits it triggers the open program to execute (Because the condition of the door is open), causing the lights to come on and the notification to be sent out. My question is.... How do I only make these chain of events happen when when I actually open the door OR Not execute if the door has been open for some period of time? I thought about installing another I/O linc to monitor the open door status and making condition to be met or not, before turning on lights and sending out the notification. But figured there's got to be an easier way. Thanks
