  1. Why is a Polisy unavailable for purchase? I am interested in getting one but both models are out-of-stock and have been for a while.
  2. Thanks for the advice. Now I know that new ISY994i's ship with R5 that rules out the testbed approach. I guess I just have to go with the upgrade path. I really want to get to R5 with all it offers. Also saves me getting another ISY.
  3. I have been watching the progress of Release 5 for a long time. I now have the time to do it. I realize this is a big upgrade and the release is not yet official but it is now an RC, not Beta. I have 2 homes both running an ISY994i on 4.7.3 and have been with UD since they started - I helped debug the ISY26 back in 2007! I am cautious of the R5 upgrade so am considering buying an extra ISY994i and using that as a test bed. All controlled devices are Insteon although I do use X10 to trigger my Ademco alarm system. I have the weather module on one ISY441i. I assume that shipping ISY994i's come with 4.7.3 on them, so I would just restore my backup to that, replace the current one with it and start the upgrade. Is there an impact on my Insteon devices that will prevent me from reinstalling the original ISY994i if the upgrade fails? is there a residual network effect on Insteon devices? My approach would be to swap the ISY's in & out until I am happy with the release 5 one. The I leave it in and move on to the next house. Thanks
  4. My prior update from 2.7.0 to 2.7.10 resulted in me not being able to get directly access my Admin console. Michel got me to to the Admin console via the UD link which I have used for the past few days. The upgrade to 2.7.12 went smoothly and solved the direct Admin access problem also. I did have to login a couple of times before it had finished updating it's statuses. The rotating circle near the mouse is not a motif I have seen before.
  5. The ISY does not complete the process and errors out. I have manually forwarded the port for the ISY in my DLink DIR-130 and internet access actually works fine, but the ISY does not seem to know this. Running 2.7. I am also using iLink Pro on an iPhone which also works fine, especially now the program supports more than one ISY and can connect internal/external. Why won't the ISY perform the connection?
  6. I had the same problem and ended up reloading the ISY from backup to allow access again. Now I have to x out the popup window every time I log on.
  7. I am confused by the instructions for the upgrade. My configuration now: ISY-26 V2.6 Firmware per the Info page. Is the display different if 2.6.1 or 2.6.5? Do I have to????: 1) Download & reload 2.6 anyway? 2) Download 2.7 manually 3) Have the ports changed so I have to disable internet? 4) Load 2.7 5) Re-enable internet again? I also assume that the upgrade should only be made when local (i.e. not when connected via the internet) - may need a hard boot. Please clarify steps. My 2.6 version has been running for nearyy a year without problems or reboot! Martyn Greene
