  1. OK, so I got the new device to link, but I couldn't find a way to replace the existing PLM address. So it wiped out the controls in all of my motion programs. I have a backup of the ISY before I replaced the EZIO PLM, so if there is a way to substitute the new PLM that would be great.
  2. I forgot that I had an old 2413S that I had done the capacitor fix on. So I hooked it up and added the new device to my ISY, but it says that it could not identify the Insteon device type? The 2413S seems to react normally to a reset. Any bright ideas?
  3. My motion voice announcements recently stopped working and I've traced it back to my EZIO8SA PLM. My ISY won't talk to it and when I did a factory reset it didn't blink or buzz. Nada. I remember having to plug my laptop into the original PLM to get the EZIO8SA up and running with the ISY. But it's been so long since I did this, that I don't remember what software I ran or what I did. I tried to download the manual, but my Malware software is complaining about a Trojan on the Smartenit site. I also posted my original issues here, but the post seems to have scrolled into the ether? I'm hoping I can just plug the replacement PLM in, but as I recall, it's not that simple? Thanks
  4. Thanks.
  5. It seems I need the IOS version for this to work. This would explain why my App looks nothing like the screen shots on the website.
  6. I want to be able to view my Insteon camera in MobiLinc, is this possible with ISY?
  7. I was looking at the Optex 'Wireless' motion sensors, trying to figure out what receiver they used. Then I noticed that it says 'wireless ready'. LOL, why would I pay twice the price of their wired sensors for a 'wireless ready' sensor? I can just stick a battery pack and an Insteon door sensor in an IP66 enclosure and use my existing Optex wired sensors. I think I've found my next science experiment. I'd actually like to use a leak sensor, except that they are not momentary contact.
  8. Yeah, it gets relatively cold here in the winter, we're protected by the lakes somewhat, that and global warming. The summers are getting warmer, but again the lakes help mitigate that too. I can't see myself trudging through the snow in January to replace batteries though. ❄️ I think the one sensor is failing, so it might be time to replace it, but I'll check for spider webs first.
  9. Thanks, I was hoping to get something native, but it's more important to me that it works reliably. So Wireless with some external interface would not be horrible.
  10. I'm actually happy with what I have, but I was hoping there was a decent wireless option by now. My current sensors have lasted a long time and do not have issues with false alarms, i.e. they are not subject to sun/shade issues or wind, as long as I keep the bushes trimmed. Although I'm sure the lenses may have some sun damage by now.
  11. Does anyone make a quality Outdoor Wireless Motion Sensor for the ISY. The Insteon sensors are consumer crap, that I might consider using indoors. I'm currently using wired Optex sensors outdoors, but these were $200 each 20 years ago. I have to have some work done on the house, which means moving all of the wiring for the sensors and cameras. while they cap the trim with aluminum. I was planning to upgrade the cameras anyway, so this is less of an issue. But the installers are not going to want to spend time moving all my wires and stringing them through holes in the aluminum. So I thought I would investigate going with wireless sensors. Hopefully I can find something that's ISY compatible, so that I can eliminate the EZIO-SA. Although I might move the EZIO-SA to the sprinklers. ? Let me know what you're using for outdoor motion sensors and how satisfied you are with them?
  12. No, but I tested a couple of the Network Resources and they would not play the associated sound files. So I checked the IP address on the Raspberry PI and it was not set to the static IP it should have been. It was set to DHCP with the wrong IP address. So I'm not sure why the sound would play sometimes and not others, as all the NR use the same static IP. Anyway, I ran a network cable to the RPi to eliminate any wireless issues and reset the static IP. It was playing sounds yesterday, just not sure if it was playing the 'missing' ones. I haven't gone back to test the Network Resources yet, but I assume this will eliminate one issue. Thanks
  13. I'm not really sure where to start with this one; I've noticed recently that my voice announcements only work some of the time. This morning the garage door was open and there was motion outside the garage, so I should have gotten multiple garage door motion sensor announcements and a warning every 30 seconds that the garage door was open. I only got one garage motion sensor announcement and no garage door open alerts. I noticed yesterday that people are not setting off the garage motion sensor or the front door motion sensor. My first thought was a problem with the motion sensors or the EZIO_SA, but I dumped the log this morning and I see all of the events I would expect. That leaves a problem with the network resources, the Raspberry PI or even the WiFi. I suppose it could be a collision problem, but I can't see why. This system has been working for quite a while, so I don't expect any setup issues. These are the events I see from the issue above: X10 B9 Tue 2018/07/31 10:17:43 AM System Log X10 B9 Bright (7) Tue 2018/07/31 10:17:43 AM System Log X10 B9 Tue 2018/07/31 10:17:43 AM System Log X10 B9 Bright (7) Tue 2018/07/31 10:17:44 AM System Log Garage Sensor-Sensor Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:18:32 AM System Log X10 B9 Tue 2018/07/31 10:18:34 AM System Log X10 B9 Off (11) Tue 2018/07/31 10:18:34 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:13 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:14 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:14 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:15 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:15 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:16 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:16 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:17 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:17 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:18 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:18 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:19 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:21 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:22 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:22 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:23 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:23 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:24 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:24 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:25 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:26 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:26 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:26 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:26 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:27 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:28 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:28 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:29 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:29 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:30 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:30 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:31 AM System Log Garage Sensor-Sensor Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:50 AM System Log X10 B9 Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:52 AM System Log X10 B9 On (3) Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:52 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:57 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:57 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:58 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:58 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:19:59 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:00 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:00 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:01 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:06 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:07 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:07 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:08 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:08 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:08 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:29 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:30 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:30 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:31 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:31 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:32 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 100% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:32 AM System Log EZIO SA - 9 Status 0% Tue 2018/07/31 10:20:33 AM System Log
  14. OK, mail problem is solved. It was a PEBKAC issue. ☹️
  15. The error log says this when I run the test: Time User Code Message Sat 2018/06/30 03:21:00 PM System -50001 -11 Running my test email does not return an error, nor does it send an email. What's the menu item about requesting an SSL certificate? I think Yahoo requires SSL.
  16. Yep, that's what I had, but no joy. I assume that's an app specific password. Although my PC has started acting up. Somehow my wallpaper got replaced with ASUS wallpaper. I just purchased an ASUS laptop, but how it got spread to my desktop I don't know. It also would not shut down last night and it's a little slow today. SFC showed nothing, chkdsk was fine, no viruses found, so it must be a rogue process somewhere.
  17. Screw it, I used my Yahoo account instead. The test did not return any messages, but it did not error out either.
  18. The 2FA challenge only occurs once, not each time you sign in. Anyway you can't allow less secure apps if you have 2FA turned on. But as you suggested an app specific password should work. However, I still can't sing in, as I get this: My Time Out is set to the max now. ?
  19. Thanks, but I actually want it to repeat, as I'm making voice announcements with a Raspberry Pi. My phone is on DnD at night, so an email at 3:00 AM is of no use to me. I do plan to send emails too, but will make sure they are after the Repeat 1.
  20. Yes I have 2FA turned on, so I get the annoying texts for new devices. I had something in the from, with my email address. Maybe I'll try just my email address. Thanks
  21. Thanks Larry, that's helpful. I was thinking the wood sides might allow for it to work.
  22. My mother overflowed the laundry sink three times. Grrr. Don't leave sh*t in the sink. So the washer and dryer now have their own curb, EPDM under the tile and a new floor drain. Yes, one of the leak sensors is going here. ?
  23. Sadly I just recorded voices for 9 of them. I have written a simple version of the announcement programs, but I haven't played with the heartbeat stuff yet. I did not realize that the Wet sensor stayed on, so when I went to test them all I had 9 announcements repeating every 30 seconds. ? I don't recommend testing new voice announcements at midnight . LOL. I might end up sleeping with the ISY.
  24. Has anyone place a Leak Sensor under their Dishwasher? I'm just wondering if all the metal will block the signal.

    email setup

I'm trying to setup my smtp server using my GMail account, but I keep getting password not accepted. Yes, it is the right password. Searching Google help did not provide any answers. I gather it has something to do with signing in from an appication? Thanks
