  1. The wall plate for the mini remote does not screw to a single box, however, it can be easily mounted over a multi gang box-- the wall plate fastens to the back of the regular switch plate and the switch plate then is held by the remaining screws.
  2. No firewall running. Actiontec router. Same IP address. It is/was in the trusted intranet zone. Your response got me thinking about related issues and it turns out I deleted my self signed certificate before the upgrade and never got an error message reminding me to install a new one. I did install a new one and also realized a second deficiency- I was using www.universaldevices.com/99i to access the console because IE was autocompleting for me. Now that I've tried www.universaldevices.com/99i/2.8.10 it updates the current state values and I'm assuming the other issues are fixed too. Many thanks.
  3. Not sure if reported yet. I'm using Java 1.6.0_23 on Windows XP. First time I've tried to program since 2.8.10 update. If you add, remove, or rename a scene or device, the update is not shown until you exit the console and then reconnect and restart the console app. Also noticed that program status does not update unless you manually refresh the listing and that under My Lighting and individual scenes, the devices do not show the CURRENT STATE.
  4. Works nicely w/o error under 2.8.10. Still waiting on a work around for access from update challenged Mac (G5 PowerPC Tiger 4.11). Thanks again.
  5. While this feature used to work properly for me, through various updates I've noticed some changes and things have stopped working. I've tried to fix this and couldn't really find a specific answer in the forum. My ISP is Verizon FIOS (though shouldn't matter with present config), My ISY is running 2.7.13. I currently am able to log in remotely to my ISY over internet, would like to retain the feature and I'm comfortable with my current port settings for inbound traffic. I'm using ports 5555 and 5557 for nonsecure and secure settings. In the past, my email/text notification list was a (?comma or semicolon delineated) group of addresses and NOTIFY ALL was a program line. When I recently went to check things out, I noticed that ALL was no longer an option, but that individual entries could be setup. I deleted the list of address, added them back individually, and modified the programs. This did not fix the lack of notifications being sent. The real problem is the error when ISY tries to send the message(s). There is a 50001 error [Mail Server Failure-AuthLogin Not accepted] and 60006 error- NTP Server Not Responding [-51]. The first error happens every time, the second is sporadic. I have the mail setting set to default in the ISY, so I assume it's going through Universal Devices. I could reconfigure it to go through a different server like Verizon, but when I tried this in the past, there was a problem with blocked ports and timeouts. Thanks for your assistance and suggestions on how to fix this. -- One more unrelated thing-- is there currently any work around for Mac OS computers that can't run Java 1.6? I currently have no access to my control panel from my main computer, but can get to it from an old Windows XP machine and my wife's computer which has Snow Leopard.

  7. What I'm trying to achieve seems simple to me and a common setup, but my attempts have failed. 6 button KPL with primary load among 6 Insteon controlled lights in my Kitchen. Have the 4 KPL secondary buttons set as Mut Exclus. They are labelled All-Off, Night, Entertain, and Cook and my intention is to have all 4 secondaries control the same 6 loads with different On intensities programmed in ISY. I made a scene for each desired action, added the lights as responders first (have tried all 6 and also the 5 that don't include the KPL primary load), then added the designated button as a controller for each corresponding scene. I have initially set each of the buttons as non-toggle, though this might be one of the problems. The All-Off works with each intensity set at 0, but none of the others seem to respond (i.e. to turn the lights On at their non-zero intensities). Futhermore, querying the KPL buttons shows the status at OFF even when it's ON. The KPL primary buttons (On/Off) are set at Toggle and work fine. Thank you for your help.
