  1. I've tried to install and reinstall the Bond server and everything appears to work well in PG3. All of the nodes are visible. However, even after restarting PG and ISY, I am missing 2 fans. The two fans are on one remote, therefore it is only 1 node, named Fan 1 & 2. The other two nodes for it are the UP light and the DOWN light. All 3 of these nodes do not come across to the ISY. All versions are the latest. I'm attaching the log files if anyone can help me out with this. Bond_6-14-2022_103757_AM.zip
  2. Well, nevermind! There were 2 parameters in PG2. Longitude and Latitude were the only ones required. In PG3, there is also a key for Elevation. I deleted Elevation and its value, restarted the node and Voila, everything works! I use it to close the blinds in my office with the Somfy Z-Wave controller, as the sun beats through the windows heating up the room.
  3. I'm everything over to PG3 and all is going reasonably well. However, when installing the Sun node, I am getting no values as to sun position. It shows as connected, but everything else is zero. It was working great on PG2. Any ideas? There is nothing on GitHub.
  4. I would definitely go with Z-wave. I'm pleased with the way mine are working.
  5. I've abandoned the Somfy URTSii, as the commands never seemed to go through the serial port of the Polisy, although I have not confirmed the serial port on either device is working properly. @Michel Kohanim worked with me to try and get the URTSii working, but he did all he could. Perhaps, he has some ideas on this post. Instead, I purchased the z-wave version Somfy ZRTSii and included it into the ISY. This options are very funky. Sort of like Bizzaro world, but it might be simple if I could find documentation on Somfy's definitions of fade up, fade down, etc. I've posted an image of the ISY Admin console for one channel. You have to create channels in the ZRTSii through the device and include them just as you would with a z-wave device. Perhaps, a node server can be written for Polisy that controls the ZRTSii as the one currently controls the URTSii. Can the current node server be modified to accomodate the Z? I see that Brian Feeney wrote the nodeserver currently available, but I couldn't find his handle, so perhaps he will see this and comment. It's interesting that from the admin screen, you can click the "fade" button and the blinds go the "MY" position just as it does when you use the tellis remote. However, it does not work that way when you're trying to use this command in a program. I've attached another image of the options for the Fade command in the Program creation screen. You will see that there are 5 options (I don't understand these options) that are not available for the Fade command from the main Admin screen. You can not get the Direction option to disappear so you could run only the Fade command without the direction. When using it in either direction it opens or closes all the way, depending upon where the blinds are when you issue the command. There is also a "None" option in the direction, but it also moves the blinds from all the way closed bottom to all the way closed top. I've played with many options and finally gotten the code below to consistently put the blinds open to the middle position. My comments below the code should explain how it works. By the way, I have a left and right window and want to open and close them individually, so they're not on the same channel. Now, someone PLEASE explain to me "WHY" it works, because I just don't get it. Office Shades Left Open Test If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Set 'Somfy Z-Wave / ZW 037 Somfy Ch2 Office Left' Off Wait 4 seconds Set 'Somfy Z-Wave / ZW 037 Somfy Ch2 Office Left' Fade Up in 2 seconds Set 'Somfy Z-Wave / ZW 037 Somfy Ch2 Office Left' Fade Stop Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') The first command closes the blinds to the bottom, as that gives you a starting point at the same point each time the program is run. The Off command closes them all the way, while the On command opens them all the way to the top. The wait command provides enough time for the first command to run before running the third line. The ZRTSii doesn't seem to finish a command before issuing the next, so the wait. The Fade Up command starts the blinds opening with a ramp rate of 2 seconds. The Fade Stop command stops the blinds at the mid point. This has been tried with a wait command before fade stop with no ramp rate and is not consistent. It has been tried with no ramp rate in the Fade Up command is not consistent. This command has been tried in the reverse and works similarly, meaning the blinds are opened up to the top the next command is fade down. EDIT: I have now learned that I can use the "Fade Stop" command to move the blinds to the "MY" position that was set with the remote. At least it works for now.
  6. Michel has confirmed that everything is matching up with pins, baud rate, etc. Still, that doesn't mean that we have something that was overlooked.
  7. The nodeserver is running on the Polisy and is connected to the serial port. Michel helped me acquire and set the admin rights for the Polisy so that I could get access to the serial port. The nodeserver issues the commands from ISY and the log shows that everything looks to be communicating. However, nothing happens at the shades. However, when I control them from the front of the Somfy box, they respond with no problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  8. I continue to struggle with getting my URTSii to work. All of the issues with the serial port have been cleared and you can see the commands issued to the shades in the Somfy nodeserver log. I have the URTSii on channel 1 and I can get the shades to work by manually using the buttons on the front of the URTSii. It just seems that the command is not being sent out to the shades. If the URTSii can control the shades from the front button, I'm just not sure why the command will not go through to the shades. If anyone has successfully gotten the URTSii to work through the Somfy nodeserver, please tell me how?
  9. I have not checked the Ethernet card, but will. Thanks!
  10. I am finally ready to fire up my Polisy that I bought with the pre-order. I did the upgrade to 5.0.16C and for the most part, everything went well. I did have some issues with a few of the z-wave devices, but managed to get all back, except my Schlage door locks. I'll tackle that soon. Then, today I tried to startup the Polisy, but it never stops beeping. I saw the messages in the WIKI and I've tried connecting the device directly to the hub, but it continues to beep. The instructions say that if it doesn't stop beeping, I'll need ssh utility, but I don't even know what that is. I need some help!
  11. Looks like the issue was indeed the dual zone dampers. They are spring operated and were not closing correctly. Therefore, when the main thermostat called for the AC to turn on, air went to the entire house. Its warmer in the main part of the house because of windows and therefore to cool the front part of the house, the AC stayed on longer. With the back side of the house being more shady, it made that part of the house stay much colder than the settings on the thermostat that controlled that end of the house. The key here, for me, was not recognizing that the thermostat indicated OFF in all areas. No system, no fan, etc., which meant it had done its part. Once I realized that, I started looking for airflow and found the issue with the dual zone throwing cool air into the other area of the house. I was too focused on the thermostat or the program and forgot there were other "moving" parts. Thanks for the help, this is always a great forum!
  12. I just thought of the fact that I should check the front half of the dual zone system. The thermostat that isn't turning off showed Idle on Heat/Cool State and the Fan as Off in ISY and on the thermostat display, however, there was still air blowing into that area of the house. I checked the front half of the dual zone and it was on and blowing air, as well. That now makes me think that it's not the thermostat, but the dual zone not switching off or blocking the air flow. I have our HVAC guys coming out tomorrow, so we'll see and I'll report back.
  13. I do not see a setting for minimum run time on the thermostat or in the ISY. Is there something I'm missing?
  14. I reached out to RCS and they said I should follow up with the company that sold it to me. I'll contact Smarthome today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've looked on the Forums, but cannot find this problem from anyone else. My z-wave thermostat programs are working fine to set the setpoint, etc. The problem is that the thermostat is ignoring the fact that the temperature is colder than the setting and doesn't turn off. For example, the setpoint is at 75, but the room temperature is 71. Temperature in room is accurate. I've seen calibration procedures when room temperature isn't correct, but nothing when this happens. Any ideas?
  16. I wanted to go back and close the loop on this thread. I did finally determine the problem. I did a search through all of the programs and found an older program that ran during the night. For some reason, it was actually resetting the buttons status. Once I deleted that program, everything has been fine. So, stray programs that are not being used need to be disabled or deleted.
  17. I had tried this before, but couldn't remember what happened, so I added the steps to set the backlight for the OFF button to On 15/Off 5. I checked the program and it worked exactly as it should, as the backlights came on as programmed. However, when I got up this morning, all of the fan lights on the button were dark/off/no lights. One more bit of information, I have 3 fan/lights under the deck. All 3 lights and Fan 1 are controlled by this 6 button KPL. The other 2 fans are controlled by an 8 button device with the top 4 controlling fan 2 and the bottom 4 controlling fan 3. The buttons all work great to control the lights and the fans. However, both of these KPLs behave the same way as to no "OFF" light lit in the morning. I've looked everywhere to see if there is another program issuing some type of command, but can't find anything. I incorporated the set backlight levels program into the same program that turns all the downstairs lights, etc. off after 1 am, if I have left them on. The backlight commands are the last three lines in that program and occur after the scene commands to set the fans off. One other note. If I remove the 3 backlight commands and run the program, the backlights behave as they should, with the OFF light on the buttons coming on to full 15 brightness. Something has to be changing this later in the "wee hours" of the morning, after the program runs. Don't you think? Here is the code. Downstairs Lights Off After Midnight - [iD 004C][Parent 0048] If Time is 1:00:00AM Then Set Scene 'Downstairs Lights' Off Set Scene 'Guest BR Lights' Off Set Scene 'Guest Bathroom Lights' Off Set Scene 'Terrace Fan 1 Off' On Set Scene 'Terrace Fan 2 Off' On Set Scene 'Terrace Fan 3 Off' On Set 'Terrace Main Lights Button / Terrace Fan 1 Button - Off' On 15 / Off 5 (Backlight Level) Set 'Terrace Fan 2 Button - High / Terrace Fan 2 Button - Off' On 15 / Off 5 (Backlight Level) Set 'Terrace Fan 3 Button - High / Terrace Fan 3 Button - Off' On 15 / Off 5 (Backlight Level) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  18. Sorry that I forgot to update the status of this post, but after a few days, it started working correctly. Has worked correctly since.
  19. I have a 6 button KPL that controls a ceiling fan and its light. Standard setup with High, Medium, Low, Off in a scene. All settings appear to be correct in each scene. I've triple checked that the controller in the scene is also set at the appropriate level, e.g. High, Medium, etc. for that particular scene, the fan would be High and the button labeled High would be on, etc. The fan and lights work fine and when I press the High button, the button lights up, etc. Now, when I turn the fan Off, the Off Light does illuminate, showing the fan is off. However, the next morning, when I look at the button, none of the fan lights are illuminated. The Off Light button should be on, since that is the way I left it. I do have a program that runs at 2 pm that sets the scene "Terrace Fan OFF' to the on position, in the event I have left the fan on overnight. Not sure why that would make a difference, but just throwing it in there. Any ideas why the fan buttons are losing their state and ALL going off on the KPL? The next day, when I press any fan speed button, it lights and the operation returns to normal with the appropriate button being lit to denote the status. I can also control the fan and state of the buttons from the console. If the lights are unlit, I can turn on a scene and the appropriate light goes on and the fan starts.
  20. Very good instructions. I think I did as instructions said by clicking on the controller in the scene, then clicking Copy Scene Attributes. However, the buttons still did not control the scene. It still worked fine from the ISY. Did I miss or misunderstand something?
  21. I'm having a similar problem in that the scene works fine, but the fan does not turn on from any of the button speeds. Here's the strange part. If I turn on the fan from the console or from Mobilinc, the keypadlinc does turn the fan off! The keypadlinc was giving problems, so I did a factory reset, then restored. It was after the restore that it stopped working correctly. Does it sound like I need to delete the scenes and start over?
  22. Thanks for the compliment. This was one of the only thing I had a say in when we "downsized" to this house a couple of years back. There's a bedroom downstairs too, so you're right, it would be tough to be relegated to the basement! I think you're right on the leak sensor(s). I have two that I haven't assigned to a location as yet. I'll probably switch those out, as they seem to be working fine from those locations. Thanks again for all your help!
  23. Here is a photo of the area of the bar in question. I have noted the location of the access point, etc. One update . . . the sensor still did not send the heartbeat, therefore the variable stayed at 2. I have a spare leak sensor which is new. I installed it as a seperate instance and placed it under the bar. It has operated fine. I think the leak sensor in question is faulty. How do I explain that when it does behave correctly when I place it into a small amount of water and then dry it off.
  24. It's a wooden custom cabinetry bar with granite tops. The sink is a metal bar sink. I have the leak sensor sitting underneath the cabinet, just below the drain and water pipes. To the left of the sink is a stainless steel dishwasher and to the left of that a stainless steel bar refrigerator. I'll provide pictures when I return home later today. Strange thing is that it worked fine for a long time and has just started displaying this behavior. I can't think of anything that has changed in that area.
  25. 1. Yes, it did change state, going from Dry-on to Dry-off, etc. It blinked every XX seconds. No fluttering. 2. Pressing the set button did cause the status to change back to Dry-On, etc. 3. Here's where it gets kind of strange. I placed the leak detector in the same dish in water underneath the sink at the bar. That's about 20 feet from my office. (always convenient to have a bar near the office, but I digress) When I placed it in the water, the status did not change in the console, but I did immediately get the text message telling me there was a leak detected at that location. I then took the sensor out from under the bar and sat it on the cabinet and repeated the test. Status changed in the console and the text message came, When I dried and reset the leak sensor, it behaved correctly. That being said, I have an access point plugged into the wall not 5 feet from the bar sink. Of course, there is a dishwasher and and refrigerator in its path of direct sight from the access point to the sensor underneath the bar. I also have the paceyben Somfy bridge in the outlet just above the sink, although I don't know if that relays a signal. I'm going to leave it on the top of the cabinet for the 26 hours and see what happens, unless you have another suggestion. Thanks again for all your help!
