Arghh......I think I have a heat pump system. Any there any solutions for the ISY that work with a heat pump system?

I don't have a pic for the Insteon one since I removed it put the the Honeywell back. I tried to show the wiring above. Is the below clearer? Right Side of Honeywell Connected to 2441TH ------------------------------------------------------------ Red Wire ----------------------> 24RH Orange ----------------------> W2 (1st attempt I had this connected to W1, then when I connected the white wire I moved it to W2 - same result) Yellow ---------------------> Y1 Green ---------------------> G Blue ----------------------> 24V COM Left side of Honeywell 2411TH Top White wire ----------------------> W1 (I didn't connect this on the 1st attempt, then connected it and still same result) Red Not connected White Not connected Not sure what you mean by gas 2 stage heater? How would I determine that? Thanks!

Hi, I just bought a 2441TH thermostat to replace my Honeywell one. However, after wiring it up I got hot air instead of cool for the cool setting. I also got hot air from the heat setting. So, my assumption is I wired something wrong. I know it is not my A/C unit since I hooked the Honeywell back up and everything works. Here is the wiring for the Honeywell Here is what I did with the wiring.... Right Side of Honeywell 2441TH ------------------------------------------------------------ Red Wire 24RH Orange W2 (1st attempt I had this connected to W1, then when I connected the white wire I moved it to W2 - same result) Yellow Y1 Green G Blue 24V COM Left side of Honeywell 2411TH Top White wire W1 (I didn't connect this on the 1st attempt, then connected it and still same result) Red Not connected White Not connected I think the bottom white and red wires on the left side are for the outside temp reading since they are a separate wire run. Any suggestions on the wiring....? Thanks!

Hi, I am trying to set a variable in my then and else clauses of my program. The program executes, but the variable value is never changed. IF (Garage Door Open) THEN $Open_Door = 1 Send Text Msg Else $Open_Door = 0 I know the then clause executes since I receive the text message. I tried both integer and state variables and neither work. Any thoughts?

The green LED is always on. I tried a couple of things. With the garage door closed (and the green light on) I removed on of the sensor magnets. The light remained on. I placed the magnets on top of each other and the light remained on. I then disconnected the GND and sensor wires from the 2450 and the light turned off. I had to leave the house to go out of town so I didn't have a chance to flip the wire connections between GND and sensor. Could this be the problem? The main issue here is that I cannot remotely identity if the door is open or closed since the sensor is always ON.

The status light I am referring to that is not changing is the green LED next to the wire connection. When I did the query call from the admin console the Sensor and Relay both come back as Momentary B.

Yes, I can control the garage door both remotely and with the set button. I tried to change the mode from latch to momentary holding the set button down 3x times (let it beep each time) like the manual says button that didn't change it. I think it is in latching mode because when I press the set button once it click once and the light blinks once. On my other 2450 the light blinks 3 times. Any other suggestions?

How do I switch it from latching mode to momentary mode?

Hi, I have 2 2450's installed and they are working fine. I installed a third one today and I can't seem to get the status light to turn off when the door open. I have COM and NO hooked up and GND and Sense hooked up. The door opens and closes on the Fast On/On commands but the status light doesn't change. The sensor and relay are both setup as Momentary C. I tried changing these to Momentary B but that didn't work. What could be wrong? Thanks, Grayson

Hi, I recently added some non-Insteon devices on my network (bitcoin miners) and all of a sudden several of my Insteon devices are having issues receiving commuication from the ISY. When I open up the admin tool I get the message "Cannot Communication with XXXXXX. Please check connections" for about 4 devices - I have over 25 devices. Also, I have one or two devices that have an exclamation point or a green box with curved lines in it as the icon next to the device name on the Main tab in the admin tool. Any idea how to fix these? Would increased network traffic affect communications? Thanks, John

How do I re-establish a lost link? The button still responds to another program that lights it's LED up if the garage door is open. This morning I copied the code to another button on the KeyPad and it works, so its not the code. It's a fix, but not the right one. When I tried to re-link the KeyPadLinc the ISY Admin told me it is already added. Do I need to delete it from the admin console? If I do that, what happens to the button references in all of the programs?
-
Yes, the IOLinc works if I trigger it from my phone or just via the ISY admin program. Seems to be either the button on the Keypad or the program. Is there someway to re-initialize or assign the program to the button? I've tried re-saving it but that didn't work.

Hi, I have 2 buttons on a 8 button KeyPadLinc, each on assigned to a different garage door to open/close it. The program for each button is the same, the only difference is the name of the sensors and switches for the different garage doors. They were both working fine, but now only one of the buttons work. Any idea on how to fix this? I tried updating the program, but it still is not firing when I press the key. For reference the code is: If Control ' MSTR Bedrm Key C' is switched On or Control 'MSTR Bedrm Key C' is switched Off Then Set 'Garage Door B' Fast On Thanks, John

Hi, I have a question regarding the functionality of a button on a 8-way KeyPadLinc switch. I have a scene that contains a hall switch, kitchen switch, eating area switch, and the B button on the KeyPadLinc. What I want to happen is when the B button is pressed (turned on) the hall & kitchen lights turn off and eating light dims to 35%. I have this working by setting these specific levels when the B button is highlighted in the scene - not at the overall scene level. When the B button is press again (turned off) - all of the lights turn off - essentially the eating area turns off since the other two are already off. What I WANT to happen, is when the B button is turned off - all of the lights turn on to 100%. Is this possible? Or do I need to program another button on the KeyPadLinc to turn all the lights on? Thanks, John

Regarding integration, I have an extensive background in programming so learning the REST interface would be fine - although anything to jump start that would be helpful. I am really trying to achieve an integrated environment so that if a camera's motion sensor is triggered I can turn on outside or insight lights. I pretty sure most of the camera systems do email notifications probably don't need that. Thanks, John

Hi, After getting the ELK-M1 and ISY994i up and running I am ready to take the next step and install a home video surveillance system. I am mainly looking for outdoor cameras and would like the system to integrate with the ISY. Can anyone recommend a system or perhaps some do's and don'ts as I go forward? Thanks! John

Thanks! Got it working and just ordered 6 more switches!

Thanks! That worked.

Hi, I've successfully installed several single 2477D dimmer switches and am now trying to install my first 3-way switch and I'm having problems. I followed the instructions in 2477D manual and have Box 1, 2, & 3 wired up. When I turn on the power the LED's light up on all 3 switches, but only switch/box 3 controls the light. I am not sure how to proceed since there could be a large number of wire combinations to try. Is there a methodical way to figuring out how to correctly wire this, perhaps using my voltage meter? I assume the problem is no, or not enough, power/current is flowing from box 3 to box 2 & 1, but maybe it is something else. please help.... Thanks, John

Hi, I just purchased the ELK/ISY integration module and am trying to get a simple program to work. When I open the door to the garage and it is dark outside, I want the garage lights to turn on for 5 minutes and then turn off. The program is below. The problem is the lights don't turn off. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? If Elk Zone 'Garage Door' is Violated AND From sunset - 1 hour To sunrise + 1 hour (next day) Then Set 'Inside Garage Lights' Fast On Wait 5 minutes Set 'Inside Garage Lights' Fast Off Else - No Actions Thanks, John

Hi, Does anyone know if the INSTEON Wireless Security IP Camera (Item #75790WH) can be controlled by the ISY? I am open to any type of solution that enables me to trigger the recording or taking pictures based on motion detected by the camera. Thanks, John

I had the same question just the other day and LeeG provided me with the following answer: ------------ If Control ‘iolinc – Sensor’ is switched On Or Control ‘iolinc – Sensor' is not switched Off Then Set Scene ‘keypadlinc button C’ Off Else Set Scene ‘keypadlinc button C’ On The above ISY Program turns KeypadLinc button C LED Off when the I/O Linc Sensor turns On and turns KeypadLinc button C LED On when the I/O Linc Sensor turns Off ----- You need to create a Scene for the keypad button and set it as a responder. The above worked great. I have an 8 buttone Keypadlinc in the master bedroom. I also wrote a short program the when you press the C key the door will open or close.

I am referring to the INSTEON Wireless Security IP Camera with Pan, Tilt and Night Vision - Product # 75790WH that is available from Smarthome. Thanks, John
