  1. Hi, I was wondering if there is any solution, native or 3rd party, that is available to constantly record the feed from an Insteon IP camera and still have it accessed and controlled by the ISY994i? I've done searches, but haven't found anything. Perhaps I am not looking in the right places. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, John
  2. Awesome! Thanks, that worked perfectly.
  3. Hi, I am fairly new with the Insteon set of products. I recently setup the ISY994i and a couple of dimmer switches and a motion sensor. I have now moved on the the I/O Linc Garage Door control. What I want to do seems simple, but I can't figure out how to program and/or create a scene to do it.... I currently have a simple program as follows If Control 'Button C-GarageDoor' is switched ON Then Set 'Garage Door Swc' On So if I press the C button on the 8 pad switch the garage door opens or closes. What I want to do is have the LED for Button 'C' always reflect the status of the garage door regardless if I physically press the C button or if I use the hardwire button in the garage or the garage door remote in a car. So somehow I want to have a program and/or scene that indicates if the 'Garage Door Sensor' is OFF then turn on the LED for Button C so the button is lite anytime the garage door is open. I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Please Help.... Thanks! John
  4. Hi, I just received my ISY994i/PLM in the mail along with 2 access points and 2 dimmer controls and a motion control. My question is after I install the ISY/PLM should the next step be to install the access points? I would think so since the location for the dimmer switches is on a different floor than the ISY/PLM. Any other suggestions for the new install? Thanks! John
  5. Hi, I recently installed the ELK-M1 security system and I am getting into home automation now and plan on purchasing the ISY994i and several Insteon devices. I want to make sure I have a good understanding of how everything works. For example, I want to set up a motion sensor in the master bathroom so when someone walks in the light turns on (full during the day and at 50% in the evening). In addition to the ISY994i and PLM module, for this example I think I need - Motion Sensor - Dual band wall switch that is connected to the light I want the motion sensor to control. - Then I use the ISY to create the scene that controls the brightness of the light based on the time of day Is that correct? Since I plan on using a dual band wall switch I shouldn't need a separate access point for the RF control....correct? Does it matter how far distance wise the ISY and PLM are from this first installation? I know once I get more devices installed the way Insteon works will send repeat signals through all the devices, but is there a range limit on how far the first device is from the ISY & PLM? Thanks in advance. John
