I like this. So you could also run the suspension program from your phone (while at the fire pit with a beer in hand)? Would you mind posting a copy of your code (or at least the relevant part)?

OK, I've had my external flood lights controlled with a couple of motion sensors for quite some time. They work very well with my logic. Basically, if during night hours, a MS detects movement, it turns on a scene that pops all 4 sets of floods on. I then have it wait for 7 minutes, and then it turns the scene back off. I know this probably isn't the best, but it has worked very well the past few years. Here is the problem. We have a fire pit and the lights obviously pop on and off when we sit out there. Most of the time, I just disable the program from my phone and turn the lights on or off. Sometimes, I might be a little "disabled" myself when coming in from the firepit and I forget to reactivate the program. I've gone a week or so forgetting to re-enable it. What would be some suggestions of how I could fortify this program a little bit? I'm guessing I could temporarily disable it and have it reactivate in a couple of hours, or ??? Could we use variables, or ??? Maybe even use my keypadlinc to help? Please give me some suggestions!

Good call. My mistake.

I have several Hikvision cameras that record to an NVR. For a long time, these have worked very nicely by viewing them with Mobilinc. I recently added a Dahua camera and I cannot connect to it via Moblinc. In the camera settings for the Hikvisions (which operate correctly), I have the local http:// filled in plus the port number. I also have an 'Away http://' and port. For example, it's something like: http://33.44.55.xyz. I also have a port number which is correctly open in my router. When I do the exact same thing for the dahua camera, it's not viewable outside the home network. Any suggestions?

This is going to have to wait until I get back from vacation. I have a TON to get done in a short amount of time. Airgap reset on the one switch is all it took. Both switches working as intended. I boxed up a TON of CFL bulbs about 2 weeks ago. Read how bad they are with HA. I installed a bunch of led bulbs.
-
OK, I'm going to go for a walk 1st thing when I get home. Great, I'll check this stuff out too. I have a ton to do tonight before vacation! Circling back - what happens when a dimmerlinc fails? Can it cause power line communication issues? My kitchen has the one that started acting funny.... Just curious of what others have experienced when a dimmerlinc fails...
-
I don't understand. Are you suggesting 'syncing with ISY' in mobilinc? Full download or update only? I have a couple of dual band DimmerLincs not too far away. I do have plans to install a couple more, hopefully that solves it.
-
Haha, thank you. Correct, the door sensor no longer controls the GDO... They are both working independently as they used to. But, I'm stilling getting bogus readings from my isy and mobilinc on my phone.
-
But.... I don't think I'm outta the woods yet though. At dinner, I checked a couple of times to see if my Mobilinc pro would work. My start screen is my camera and they would pull up, but then Mobilinc would just suddenly close. Unfortunately, as I sit here testing some stuff in the administration console on my PC, it just unexpectedly shut off. Now what?!? I definately feel this is related to my left hand approach of replacing a PLM. Again, only I can mess up a simple job that easy. What should I check now? Edit - Looking at mobilinc on my phone, it shows certain devices as turned off even when they are on. This is making me circle back to the POE cameras. I have 2 of them that run off of a POE injector. Basically, that's a power pack that is new to my system. I don't have time to disable / check those tonight - I'll have to wait until tomorrow night. Have these ever been the source of RF noise for anyone else? I'm just trying to think of what is new to my network. I do have a new large power strip that my isy is plugged into. My PLM is plugged into a dedicated outlet. I've gotta hit the sack tonight.

What a stressful night. Running late to mother in law's bday dinner, ordered a chicken sandwich and it came out with a huge hair on it. Kind of lost my appetite so I just ate some waffle fries. Then I get a call and have to separate from family to run back to work. Wait for 90 minutes while some mechanical workers inspect building for gas leak. Just thinking of the time I could be working on my HA setup. Leaving on vacation shortly so I want my insteon stuff working while I'm away! Anyway, brought the i/o linc inside and tried in an outlet near the PLM and it connected! Took it outside and reinstalled it. Tested ok. Does that mean I've got some new RF noise out in the garage area?

Could this all be related to the PLM that I just installed? It was a Amazon warehouse purchase, so there's no telling what could be wrong with it. Everything else seems to be working well. the date code on the new PLM is 4615.
-
ok, tried the extension cord into the house and I'm getting the same response about failed insteon engine. Kitchen issue - 2 dimmerLincs on different loads. Used to work independently just fine. Now, when I turn out the kitchen cans, it takes out the kitchen pendants at the same time.
-
I recently added a wired POE camera system and a wifi camera. Could this be a noise source? LED bulbs are new, but should be ok. Here is another weird thing that started happening... Kitchen has 2 dimmerLincs that have worked great for 3 years. A while ago, I noticed when I would turn one of those switches off, both circuits would shut off. Could this be a failed switch causing noise? No baby monitors.... What are some other common sources of noise? edit - I do have a fluorescent shop light hanging from the ceiling. Bulbs look good and seems operational.
-
Teken & Techman, Thank you for your responses. OK, might try the extension cord tonight (because it's still all wired up to the opener). CFL bulbs - I just recently replaced a TON of cfls with new LED bulbs. I don't think I have any cfls left. It's worked for 3 years and my other door opener is fine (although plugged in 20 feet away on another outlet in the ceiling).

dang, sorry guys. I have an ability to make more of a mess than I should. OK, got both devices removed. Unplugged the PLM for 20 seconds, then power cycled the isy. the door sensor added back in - no problem. I can't get the 2450 added back in. I did the hard reset (Held set button, plugged in, held 'set' through beep approximately 15 seconds). To try to link it, I'm holding the set button for about 3 seconds and the led blinks (linking mode I believe). I tried the 'start linking' and it doesn't recognize it. I tried to manually add it with the address and letting 'auto discover' find the device type. I don't see a 2450 on the dropdowns either. This is the error I'm now getting when trying to manually add and use auto discover:
-
OK, I tried a factory reset and restore the door sensor and it kept controlling the insteon 2450 garage door. Even with both devices disabled, the front door would control the garage door. So, I thought I would delete the garage door and re-install it. This proved to be a bad idea. Now I can't even add it back in and I'm getting the attached error. (and the front door still continues to control the garage door even though I cannot add the garage door back into the ISY)
-
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm at work now and won't be able to try this until this evening.
-
Negative, I do not have that selected. OK, sorry for expecting anybody to read that wall of unformatted data. It looked better before I submitted. Update, this is strange but I have more details. Every time we open the front door, the garage door opens... I tried disabling the garage door and the front door both, but the garage still opens every time the front door is opened! What am I missing? Looked to see if the door was a controller of the garage door but it doesn't appear to be the case.
-
OK, I need help. I just replaced an old PLM. Purchased a new one and did the 'restore PLM'. Everything seems to be working. Twice now, my wife has called me and the garage door has opened by itself. We are leaving on Friday for vacation, so I've gotta get this corrected. I looked at the logs and don't see anything that stands out... But I do see a TON of activity with my 'Floods ON' scene. This morning when I was looking at my garage door sensors, they were showing that the doors were open when the doors were closed. Not sure what changed, but now they look as if they did prior to my PLM swap. I'm going to paste my log below. I believe the garage door opened at approximately 2:04pm. ************************************************************************************************************ Basement Keypad A / Basement Keypad H Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:17 AM System Log Front Door-Opened Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:27 AM System Log Garage Door Sensor Single Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:28 AM System Log Scene:Garage Door Single Status On Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:28 AM Program Log Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad A / Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad G Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:30 AM System Log Master Bed Keypad A / Master Bed Keypad G Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:30 AM System Log Basement Keypad A / Basement Keypad G Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:30 AM System Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 11:51:30 AM Program Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 12:11:23 PM Program Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 12:26:09 PM Program Log Kitchen Slider-Opened Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 12:36:45 PM System Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 12:37:16 PM Program Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 12:45:32 PM Program Log Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad A / Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad D Status 18% Mon 2016/04/18 12:46:04 PM System Log Kitchen Pendants Status 18% Mon 2016/04/18 12:46:04 PM System Log Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad A / Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad D Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 12:46:06 PM System Log Kitchen Pendants Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 12:46:06 PM System Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 01:13:17 PM Program Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 01:34:42 PM Program Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 01:35:08 PM Program Log Garage Door Sensor Single Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 01:35:19 PM System Log Scene:Garage Door Single Status Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 01:35:19 PM Program Log Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad A / Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad G Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 01:35:20 PM System Log Master Bed Keypad A / Master Bed Keypad G Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 01:35:20 PM System Log Basement Keypad A / Basement Keypad G Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 01:35:20 PM System Log Front Door-Opened Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 02:04:10 PM System Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 02:04:12 PM Program Log Garage Door Sensor Double Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:33 PM System Log Scene:Garage Door Double Status On Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:33 PM Program Log Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad A / Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad H Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:34 PM System Log Master Bed Keypad A / Master Bed Keypad H Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:34 PM System Log Basement Keypad A / Basement Keypad H Status 100% Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:34 PM System Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:34 PM Program Log Scene:Floods ON Off 0 Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:36 PM Program Log Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad A / Kitchen Nook Lamp Keypad D Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:50 PM System Log Kitchen Pendants Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:50 PM System Log Kitchen Slider-Opened Status 0% Mon 2016/04/18 02:05:56 PM System Log

Airgap worked, thanks.

OK, this is probably taboo but I bought a replacement 2413s on Amazon (warehouse). It's a november 2015 model, so I hope to make it work. installed it and did the 'restore PLM'. I chased the battery operated devices (MS, door sensors, and leak sensors) and almost everything is working. I have 8 button keypad linc that has the red (!). I tried the restore device, the query device, and write updates to device but it's still got the red (!). I get the 'Cannot Communicat With Basement.... Please check connections." What is best to do at this point? New PLM seems to be working well outside of my one keypadlinc.... Maybe it's bad?
-
Also, can you explain the date code to me? 1239 - could that possibly be 2012, 39th week?
-
Question - I know the best solution would to be replace the PLM with a NEW one from a reputable source, but would the capacitor repair apply to this unit? I have read most of the content from this thread: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/13866-repair-of-2413s-plm-when-the-power-supply-fails/ Not sure if the capacitors could be the issue or if it's something else. I have replaced capacitors on a flat screen tv in the past and have a convenient local source for capacitors.
