Hmm ok understood! Thanks! While I'm waiting for my RS232 interface to come, I'm trying to control it using a iTach IR, but I saw that I has a IR sensor with 3 wires in a RJ9 connector that should be: Pin 1: none Pin 2: +5Vdc Pin 3: Common Pin 4: IR signal Anyone saw a IR sensor with 3 wires?

rlebel just said this, so I thought he was wrong about the programming sequence? "The RTS Interface has a rotary switch to select the address or channel of the box; unless you have multiple RTS Interface boxes I think you should just set this to 1 and forget it. You then can link each of your shades, in sequence, to the Interface by first pressing the program button on an already linked remote, observe that the shade jogs, then press the program button on the Interface box and see the shade jog again. Record the order of programming because the motors will then be numbered 1, 2 etc by the order of programming." Answering your question, I'm waiting Somfy send me the IR receiver, so I'll be able to control URTS II with a Global Cache IR. I saw that it could be controlled by RS232 too and by IP, using a Somfy IP Interface, also. Next week I should receive a Somfy automation representant that maybe could help me control this guy.
-
Guys thanks for all the info, I just bought a Somfy URTS II and starting to play around. One doubt, the 0-16 channel switch in front of URTSII has only the function to identify the module if it's installed in the same RS485 cable with others? I thought it would be used to select in with channel I would save the shade I was programming... So, when I'm programming the shades, they will be saved one by one in sequence from 1 to 16? And if I want to delete a specific one or copy the program from 5 to 10 from example? How could be done?

Well.. I found this topic from almost 2 years ago but that's just what I was looking for.... I always searched for a good user interface to operate with ISY but was never succeeded... A few days ago I met iRule On Controls and was very surprised. Does anyone had ever tried to integrate On Controls with Isy? I see that iRule has some issues but On Controls seems to be a iRule upgraded. Am I right? From 2 years ago, what itens can we list to compare iRule On Controls and Demopad?
-
Yes... I've got no network problems... I tried some tests right now with another isy that is working... I formated SD Card and tried the isy another time, still doesn't work... I tried this same SD card in my good ISY and it worked fine... Last time, I tried a good SD card on the bad ISY and it still doesn't work.. Don't know what more could I do. Any ideas? Should I return it to UD to see what could be done?

I`ve got similar problems with my ISY 994i and maybe someone could help. After a electrical surge problem here, my PLM stopped working and I noticed a capacitor broken. This week I just changed the PLM for a new one but I just can`t get the system working again. Isy don`t starts and show me RX light still on with memory and error lights blinking. What could it be? I`ve checked my lan settings everything should be fine. I reseted ISY and PLM a few times but nothing works.

So sad.. I bought 4 of it hoping I could do that... Should list it to Insteon to develop a new device with UP / DOWN and STOP...
-
No problem with this. I'll make the micro module to close a relay and then close the roller dry-contact. This is a good option but is more expensive than the micro modules. In this case I could use a global cache WF2CC iTach Module too... I know that its features could be handled by ISY through network devices configurations...
-
Stus.. I really don't know exactly the actuators because I'm buying from a reseller... I just know that they are controlled by two dry-contact signals... One to go up and other to go down.. The roller will stop if no one of the dry-contact is closed... I bought some open/close modules thinking that I could send the roller up or down and stop it the time I want. I'm just finding that I couldn't do this with this device.. It's sad if I'm right....
-
I'm sorry about the last questions where I wasn't clear enough... I'm installing some motorised courtains and searching for the approprieate Insteon device to control them and I realized that the micro open/close module was the best fit for it (or maybe not?). An example of what I want to do: I want to send an ON command from the ISY and the courtains start opening, ok, and I want to send another command to make it stop. How could this be done? In my tests, I send the ON command and it applied power for UP and when I send the OFF command it applied power for DOWN. How to stop it?
-
The mechanism will stop partly openned.. if I cut off the 120Vca to it.. but... wich command should be sent from ISY to do this? I just see the ON and OFF commands options...
-
Guys... I'm starting a project and about to use some micro open/close modules (2444-222) to control some courtains... My first doubt is... What exactly is the difference between the operation ways? Latching, single and double momentary? Just can't understand... The second is... On ISY administrative console.. I see just the ON and OFF commands... I suppose that if I send an ON command, the courtains will open and they will close if I send an OFF command right? Isnt it possible to partly open the courtains???
-
I just some some doubts about how would ISY controll the micro open/close module. I just see a ON and OFF commands to be used... I suppose that if I send an ON command, it will open.. and if I send an OFF command it will close. right? How could I stop it in a partly openned position?
-
I did not know the actuators yet... A guy is making the whole mechanics to me and I realized that he uses a actuator with dry contact, but don't know which one...
-
Yes.. I'm just waiting to see how long this SD Card will survive. For sure I'll need to change it soon...
-
Great... it's back.. I just took out the SD Card.. after some tries I could format it on my desktop... Re-inserted it in Isy and it became working again.. I followed the instructions, updated to 4.2.18 and its working.. Thanks
-
That`s what I thought.. but... This device is exactly at the same wires, on the same place with other two dimmers and they`re fine... I just changed it with another device and got the same errors... Now I changed it again, with a third dimmer and got everything working... The only conclusion I could get is that the other 2 brand new insteon devices got factory issues....
-
I just tried to add it several times using all options, deleting links, keeping existing links, setting insteon engine, ETC.. all the times I got two errors... - "Cannot determine device link table adress" with the option to Remove Existing links, and - "Cannot determine Insteon Device Type" when I set the option to keep existing links and add found devices. Hey guys... I have a similar doubt but my actuators works with dry contact. I'm thinking about using a 2444-222 micro open/close module to activate two 120Vac relays and each relay will close the dry contact of up and down... Should work right?
-
oh yes.. I did that.. I also changed the ISY by a new one and it's working... Seems it is the ISY System Error... gonna reset the SD Card and see if it solve....
-
Ok I'm gonna try it and see what happens...
-
Hello Brian... The events that I listed in the first post are just after a trial to add it... I copy the event level 3 and paste it... Wasn't it right? I'm not with firmware 4.2.18 yet. Could this problem be related to it? I thought that could be something with PLM version but... I really have an identical device installed on the same line and neutral cables... Pretty strange..
-
Thanks Techman... I saw this table but any of the cases listed refers to my case. The closest is the FILE SYSTEM ERROR. I'm gonna try this steps and see what happens...
-
and if I got POWER, RX and TX blue led ON STEADY.. and ERROR RED LED BLINKING? What is it?
-
hey guys... I've got a flashing red error light today... Isy seems to won't work anymore.. what could be? After turned on... it shows power, RX and TX blue led ON steady... memory led OFF and RED ERROR blinking... Is it gonne? Anything that could be done?
