  1. I am trying to test the dusk/dawn functionality on my motion sensors and it does not seem to be working. I have set night mode on the motion sensor, but it is not reporting back as in dusk.dawn mode. the MS is in a box right now with no light and it does respond to motion.
  2. Thanks fir posting this. I have been thinking about getting on and was debating the setup. this seems perfect.
  3. thank you.
  4. I was wrong. I cranked up the heat and the "On" displayed. So what does it mean when it is not displayed - vs- "Off" version 4.0.5
  5. The On never shows up using the web interface. Checking the admin console the cool was on. Right now the web interface show all on or (blank) as you saw it.
  6. Now that this is working. How do you get data from the thermostat and display it on the ISY interface?
  7. What is the difference between a thermostat control and mode. My thermostat is currently: Heat Mode On Cool Mode Off Temp 70 Heat Point 70 Cool Point 78 Heat Control is Off Cool Control is On Fan Control is Off Can someone explain where heat control is off but heat mode is on? I am guessing I am just thinking about it wrong.
  8. I am having the same issues. I am getting 200 responses from the unit venstar6800 but the unit is not updating. I updated to the latest firmware. no change. I have switched back to the 1800 for now until this gets resolved. It would be great in some one could put together a Network resource config and post it.
  9. Sweet... Sounds like thats what I will do. thanks.
  10. Dont do it, you'll get device not responding errors from the ISY UI when the switch to the bulbs is off. As for better scene controls, I don't see how this helps, can you give a longer example? I have a room with vaulted ceilings and 10+ recessed lights. Not very easy to rewire. My thought was to add insteon bulbs to the curcuit so that I could control how may I wanted to turn on. ie) at night only keep a select few on, but dimmed over specific areas. Technically I can get by fine without this option, I'm just investigating possibilities.
  11. My only thought behind this was to have better scene control. example: since all room lights are on same circuit. turn 1 light on or all lights on or specific set of lights on If this is not recommended then it will save me time experimenting.
  12. I just purchased my ISY. I don't have much knowledge on the subject. My question is what is the protocol for mixing insteon bulbs into a insteon switch controlled circuit? Will this cause issues? Is this recommended?
