Unsure if it's related but I've been having intermittent portal connectivity issues. I looked at the error log and it seams this error keeps popping up. Any ideas? Thanks! I'll give it a try tonight. Am I using the right option? I'm choosing "other" and using the "bundle" file that it gives. I'm getting the same options as Mitch in his screen shot earlier in this thread.

What ended up being the solution to this? I've requested a certificate from GoDaddy but after I install it, I'm not able to access the ISY 99i Pro through the secure URL. And the external domain listed under about is just my IP address. The certificate I'm installing looks somewhat like this, it's from a file from GoDaddy called gd_bundle.crt -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- (a bunch of characters) -----END CERTIFICATE----- -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- (a bunch of characters) -----END CERTIFICATE-----

Firmware 2.7.15 (Code Freeze) is Now Available

I haven't been having LAN/Internet issues with everything else on my network, just the ISY. When this happens, I can't connect to the ISY via the LAN or Internet. Since it is still running programs, some of which trigger network functions, I can assume it's not writing to the network either since it's not turning on/off my camera or adjusting the thermostat based on outdoor temp. -

Experienced network issues again today. This morning just the network was down, this afternoon, the MEM and ERROR lights were blinking. Again, a bunch of datafee and Net Mod errors in the log. This time I also re-set my router with the ISY, just to see what happens. Again, this is the 2nd router I've tried. 0 datafee Wed 2010/06/02 05:02:37 PM System -140000 0 datafee Wed 2010/06/02 05:17:37 PM System -140000 Thermostat Cool Setpoint 73° Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:00 PM Program Log Thermostat Setpoint 146 Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:01 PM System Log Thermostat Cool Setpoint 73° Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:01 PM System Log Scene:Home On 255 Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:01 PM Program Log Kitchen Track / _UP_KPL_H_Home Status 100% Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:01 PM System Log Scene:Home On 255 Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:01 PM Program Log 0 univers Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:05 PM System -50010 0 Net Mod Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:06 PM System -140002 0 Net Mod Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:06 PM System -150000 Scene:Gone Off 0 Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:06 PM Program Log 0 Net Mod Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:06 PM System -140002 0 Net Mod Wed 2010/06/02 05:20:06 PM System -150000 -

Spoke too soon! Last night it suddenly lost connectivity but was still running programs, however I couldn't access it through the network and (for the first time since this started happening) the MEM and ERROR lights were blinking together. Checked the log, and saw datafee errors again. Restarted and it worked fine until this morning. I was unable to access it from work and when I got home, the thermostat wasn't adjusted so it looks like it wasn't running programs. Checked the log and there's a jump from 8:45 AM to 6:01 PM (when I got home and restarted it). The only thing odd I noticed was something that says "Net Mod" (see excerpt from log below). Almost 2 weeks now with the new router and everything has been working fine. It's strange because it worked for about a year with the old router. The new one is a Netgear WNDR3700 -

It is connected directly to the router. It exibits the same behavor connected to a gigabit switch (which is connected to the same router). I might try purchasing a different one to see if that fixes it... It's a Belkin N+ router / F5D845-4 V1 -

Got the replacement ISY up and running and I'm still experiencing issues with it loosing network connection after about 8ish hours. In the log, I'm seeing the "datafee" error many times around when it looses connectivity. It's directly connected to my (fairly new) gigabit router. Help! :-/ (part of the log around when i believe it fails) 0 datafee Sun 2010/05/16 09:11:08 PM System -140000 0 null Sun 2010/05/16 09:17:27 PM System Start 0 /CONF/E Sun 2010/05/16 09:17:27 PM System -110022 0 /CONF/A Sun 2010/05/16 09:17:27 PM System -110022 0 /CONF/F Sun 2010/05/16 09:17:27 PM System -110022 -

Michel: It just went down again so I did some tests... It is responding to KPL buttons that activate programs and an X10 motion detector that activates a program, so it's not completely dead. It is not running network module items (ie turning on/off our security camera). I am not able to telnet into the ISY nor access it in any other way. I tried pinging it and nothing is found... usually it shows up in the DHCP clients list on my router, it is not. So in short, it seams it is the network functions that are down. -

Update: I just had a chance to look at the log. The one thing that stands out is a TON of lines that look like this. This was happening before and seemed to be resolved by plugging the ISY into the router directly rather than a switch (it's still plugged directly into the router)... 0 datafee Mon 2010/05/03 06:22:57 PM System -140000 0 time.ap Tue 2010/04/27 07:54:34 PM System -60001 -

I'm not sure if this is a bug with 2.7.15 or just me, but I've had to restart my ISY every few days since upgrading to 2.7.14. It just stops working (can't get to it on network, doesn't run schedules). Last night I restarted it at 11:30 and it appears to be down again—I'm at work and can't access it... but i can access my camera so the network is up. I had issues with this before that seamed to be resolved but came back with 2.7.14 (http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=4373) -
Next time it happens, I'll try that. It was static for a while but I switched it to DHCP the other day, per Rand. That did not fix the problem. So far it's still up since I plugged it directly into the router... Continuing to monitor.
-
it's time Warner/roadrunner. I'm using 2.7.13. Ps: it made it overnight without going down... Still watching...
-
(I was just about to call you, per email from Rand!) I did this, will let you know what happens...
-
I am not. I have a Belkin "N Wireless Router" connected to an 8 port netgear gigabit switch, which is what the ISY is connected too. I have not changed anything on my network recently and the problem just started Sunday. Also, before work it wasn't working so I reset and was able to access it once I got here. Now I can't and it doesn't appear to be sending notifications when it should be so I believe it's down again (still on DHCP)... Seams like it goes down 5-6 hours after resetting.
-
I tried changing it to DHCP last night around 11:30, reset and all was working. This morning, it was down again. I doubt it was the static settings anyways as they have been working fine for over a year without any changes.

Over the past few days (since Sunday), I've had to reset my ISY every day. It seems to loose it's network connection over night. All scheduled programs (besides those that rely on a network connection) seem to run fine during the time it's out. I can't connect on the local network or remotely. I looked at the log and the only things that looked odd to me is bunch of lines that say "time.ap" and "datafee." It's configured with a fixed IP address and everything else on my network is working so I assume it's something with the ISY. I can email the log file if it would help to diagnose the problem. The problem started on 2.7.12 and continued on 2.7.13. 0 time.ap Sun 2010/03/28 02:57:14 PM System -60001 0 datafee Tue 2010/03/30 09:55:12 AM System -140000

It actually just started working! Not sure what the issue was before. Still going to wait to upgrade to 2.7.8 until a fix is available.
-
At first boot, yes, the lights blinked but only for a second. After that, only the power light remained solid. The only way I was able to access it with 2.7.8 installed was with Telnet. I tried the following... http://isy/admin http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.7.8 http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.7.8/admin.jnlp Also, after going back to 2.7.7 and posting this I noticed things in the Network module were not working in programs. They just read "Response type=8" in existing programs and it wasn't in the drop down list to use in new ones (see image).[/img]

Yes, every time
-
Just spent the past 3+ hours trying to upgrade to 2.7.8 from 2.7.7. Every time I install 2.7.8, I can't connect to the ISY at all... well, it works for about 10 seconds then fails. I first thought it was an issue with my network or a hardware issue with the ISY, but once I go back to 2.7.7, everything works fine. Tried this 3 times and keep getting the same issue. I've had to take out the memory card, reformat, and do multiple power cycles/pressing the orange button inside and factory resets to even be able to get in to go back to 2.7.7. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm currently using ISY 99i Pro v2.7.7 with a Venstar T1900. I live in a 2000 sq ft 2 level loft (converted warehouse) in Ohio and have an electronic heat pump w/ emergency heat (2nd stage). The thermostat is on the lower level and averages with a remote sensor upstairs. I use the ISY to control multiple set points rather than the built in programing functionality of the thermostat. Right now in "Winter mode" (I have 2 folders on the ISY) I am basically setting back the temp to about 66 when not home or sleeping and 70 when home and awake. The deadband setting on the thermostat is 3 degrees, so in order for the heat to kick on when not home, the temp would have to hit 63 or 67 when home. I'm curious how others in a cool climate w/ heat pump have their ISY and Venstar thermostat programmed. Obviously, i'm trying to get it as efficient as possible. Thanks!
