2.5 Beta
From my talks with Lutron some time back... a switched outlet is no problem. However, the dimmed outlet idea is a bit more complicated. If you dim a conventional run of the mill outlet then that is against code. Imagine plugging your vacuum into a dimmer. Lutron solved this by making a receptacle that has one always on and one that has a special plug for it. I think the blades were turned a strange angle. This made the thing legit, but the downside was that you had to hack off the end of your lamp plug and replace it with one of these special plugs. That was you couldn’t dim you vacuum or coffee maker….

ISY-26 with no Router or Network installed?
Hmm... I haven't had a chance to play with my DNS problem yet, but I was wondering if using a dynamic IP would cause any problems with port forwarding and access to the outside world. I'm just thinking that if uPnP takes care of that I can let down my guard a bit on assigning things to the ISy and let it do whatever it wants.

Turn off closet light after 10 minutes (using 'Finally')
You had to use the "Finally" there because the ISY timers are retentative and do not reset when not running? As a result they need a reset or is it for some other house keeping reason?

Initial Install
Just finished upgrading as well and I must say that I am very impressed. During the install it hung at 99% and I thought all was lost so I closed the window and logged back in only to discover a whole new world waiting there for me... very impressive indeed. The scheduling was so much easier to work with... although it is all a much "slicker" interface in my tiny opinion. Two thumbs up to the development guys over there.

What would cause an event not to run?
I had the same thing happen once. I set an experimental timer to run, forgot about it, and started a system restore or something that took a long time. I only remembered when I went back in to do some more timed experiments an saw that the light never came on. My conclusion was that you can't be doing some of those system intensive functions at the exact time there is a timer set to go off.

First impressions of the ISY-26 - review
That's what I was afraid of. So the only way it seems that I am going to be able to clear them now is to go through and do a factory reset on all of them?

First impressions of the ISY-26 - review
I have a bunch oif links left in my system too and restore device seems to not do anything to them. I thought restore device was supposed to resync the device with the current link information in the ISY or did I miss something?
