Done. Working now. Thanks!

Deleted and reinstalled app. Now, it crashes as soon as I try to open it. Android 10. Can't get any app version info now that it won't open, but it should be the latest version given I just reinstalled it.

Subject says it all. UD Mobile app crashes whenever I try to add my new eisy. Anyone having similar issues?

Yes, sorry. Should have said that. I can click and get the drop down of the times, but cannot select. I click on one and it just reverts back to what you see in the screen shot. Admin console and even the computer, have been shut down many times, as it's all on my laptop which travels with me daily.

Trying to write a new program and the ISY will not allow me to chose a start time. The time drop downs are greyed out and cannot be selected. I have used them before, so not sure what has changed. They stay greyed out regardless of what other options I chose, such as AND/OR, etc. Screen shot is the program with my workaround, but I'd rather have it be FROM / TO particular times. Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks. - Brett

OK, calling this one fixed. Motion sensor is linked to the micro on/off that controls the driveway lights. No idea when I did that, but it didn't happen by itself. Both components are likely 8 or more years old, so at some point I apparently got creative. Proved it by physically disabling the motion sensor and everything began working correctly. Logs showed, prior, that the motion sensor would activate, and then when it turned off, the driveway lights would turn off. Symptoms stopped for the week that the motions sensor has been powered down and started back up as soon as it was powered up again. Thanks for all the suggestions and help. I've spent more time on this system, especially in the ISY, in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 3 years. Of course, that's now opened up some more questions/problem, which are for another post.

@kclenden - Yes sir. Shows green. Did not stand there at sunset +20 to see it. Checked 5 minutes later and lights were not on. Removed the +20 and stood and watched tonight. Lights turned on at designated dusk time. And turned off 2 minutes later........ Yes sir. No sir. Yes sir because I checked motion sensor is a controller for no scenes, in ISY. It is a controller in a program that starts after the dusk program ends, but that should have no effect. No sir... because I didn't check the sensor for manually programmed actions, outside of ISY. Honestly, I have no recollection of ever setting any manual settings in any of my more than 300 devices, but..... The log showed the answer. Lights turned on at sunset, 2 minutes later, "motion sensor" switched to off and the lights turned off with it. I removed the motion sensor in question and powered it down, turned lights back on and they have stayed on for almost 2 hours now. Will leave the sensor disabled and check again tomorrow evening.

Light was turning off at random times since the beginning, regardless of changes to the program. Did a search as you suggest. The driveway lights scene does not appear in any other program. The driveway motion sensor does, but that program is set to run AFTER the program in question has timed out at 9:20. Also checked for other scenes that have this light assigned. There are others, but no programs associated with them either. Finally, checked the scene itself and there are just the lights, 2 remotes and one switch that are in that scene. More intersted, right now, in why the system is ignoring sunset, when, according this thread, that should be better trigger than the dusk/dawn sensor. Will set up an email notification and check the logs next.

So sunrise and sunset times appear on the top of the screen. Turns out I entered lon/lat many years ago when I first started with the ISY. However, the program does not work at all if I remove the dusk/dawn sensor. The ISY is ignoring sunset time, it seems. No time to play with it right now. 2 days in a row, no action from the program, although it shows green in the program list during the designated time period. I'll mess with it on the weekend if time permits. Thanks!
-
So the ISY knows sunset just by time, doesn't need a sensor to report it? That would be convenient, I'll give it a shot.
-
I'm not sure I understand the question. If the dusk/dawn sensor is not in the program, how does the system know when it is dusk?
-
Yes sir. Dusk/dawn sensor shows ON even when the lights turn off.
-
Can anyone take a look at this and tell me what I'm missing? Program runs just after dusk as prescribed, but lights will randomly turn off some time after, but well before the programmed time window. I originally did not have an "else" line, so added what you see as an attempt to correct this issue. No change. Outside/Driveway lights is a scene that functions perfectly when manually operated from one of several controllers. Thanks.

Either did I ! Thank you Mr Bill, that fixed it.

Highlighted program is one that was running up until the day of Polisy install. Yes, I'm aware a number of these are set to disabled. That is intentional and not the cause of the complaint.
-
I did not factory reset, although I'm considering it. It's just stupid. Only the programs don't work. ISY is communicating with and correctly reporting the state of over 300 items. I can turn anything and everything on and off via the control panel and via Agave apps, but none of the programs will run. No changes were made, other than installing the Polisy and synching it with the ISY (or trying to, that was one of the issue with the polisy before it died, that it wouldn't retain the user/pwd for the ISY) Plugged polisy in, accessed it via a browser, played with some settings including trying to synch the ISY, then polisy died. That's when programs stopped working, that evening. I do not believe in coincidence. Waited a week or so for rescue from tech support, make repair to polisy, powered it up, downloaded the one polygot that was the entire reason for buying polisy in the first place, restarted polisy, polisy never restarted. Dead again. Removed it. Sent it back. There is zero question that the Polisy installation is responsible, but now that it's gone, why can't I get this damn thing to go back to how it was? Nuts. Probably going to do a factory reset and start from scratch, which will be 3 months work with my current schedule. Thanks for the help guys, I'll report back if I ever get it fixed.

Yes, sorry, forgot to mention that step, but it was done. PLM first, then Devices.

Sorry for the delayed followup. Too busy to deal with this. Found some time this week. ISY firmware and UI = v.5.3.4 PLM is plugged into Port A on ISY Unplugged both ISY and PLM for 24 hours (not intended, but that's the way things go sometimes) Powered up PLM. Took about 20 minutes to get back to it and power up the ISY. No change. Restored the PLM from the ISY. No change. Tried a new program, from scratch. Just a simple "turn this light on at this time". It does not run. After the aborted polisy install, the ISY has been restored with a pre-polisy backup and the PLM has been restored. No programs will run. The only program that shows green is the "Query" that should run at 3pm and 3am. Not sure how to check if it is running. All other programs show red icons, even if they are currently in the criteria that should make them active. Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

The unit bricked itself. Hardware or software, doesn't matter. Right out of the box, before anything could be installed, it bricked itself. Flash upgrade supplied by UD allowed it to start one more time. Got a single polygot installed and told it to restart, it bricked itself. Not really concerned if it was hardware or software, but this was not a case of something not running correctly, a glitch in a program, this was a DEAD unit. Imagine having your entire house running on this thing and the power goes out for a few seconds. Same as a restart, right?

My ISY works well. I too have a large system, unfortunately, given that Insteon/SmartLabs is now gone. I have over 300 insteon units running and the ISY handles them fine, normally. I never stated that UD products are bad, or that Michael is evil. What I stated is that the Polisy is garbage, and in my case, it obviously was. My only issue with support was they sent a flash chip that could be physically inserted in two different orientations, with no instructions on which way was correct. So, I had the choice of risking damage, or waiting for a response to my request for clarification. A simple set of instructions with the chip would have solved that problem. And yes, I'm a hot head. And yes, I expect shit that I buy to work, right out of the box. I had high hopes for the polisy, but cannot, in good faith, go in an untrusted direction.
-
No sir. I didn't need more hardware. The hardware I was sold, failed. The additional hardware they sent me was a fix for an obviously well known problem with the product. That hardware gave me 15 more minutes of use, but the unit failed to recover from the very next restart. What good is hardware in an automation system that can't be trusted to reboot?
-
That is one thing I'm pretty sure is not an issue. Our transformer at the street was upgraded 3 years ago to supply the 400A my house is now wired for. The power for my sensitive equipment comes from that transformer into a pair of 8kw inverters that do a great job of cleaning it, where it is then re-routed back to the house, through a whole house surge protector and then off to the outlets in question. My monitors show the voltage is always between 117V and 121V and the cycle is always between 59.9 and 60.1hz.
-
I did, and they did. They sent a label and refunded me in full. The only honorable thing to do considering they fully know they are selling garbage.
-
Same thing happened to me. UD sent a flash chip. Had to ask for, and wait for, instructions on how it should be inserted. Installed and got about 15 more minutes out of the Polisy before it failed again, same way, left light only and no comms. There is no question the hardware is garbage. I suspect heat is a big factor in the failures. I'd bet my polisy's case was above 100F. At over $400, you'd think they could spring for a fan instead of drilling half a dozen holes in the sides of the case, where they achieve nothing.
