  1. All new and in box. These were my backups. Make offer for all or each. PM me. Thanks. Noel
  2. Matter 1.3 has been released. Google seems to be all in now with matter with an open API for smart devices just announced. When will matter come to EISY? We've heard "soon" for a while now. I know I am iimpatient, but without a clearer definition of "soon" I might have to move on, and that's not what I want. Hopefully @Michel Kohanim will surprise us. Regards, Noel
  3. Yes, None of my overnight programs ran last night. All the programs that were enabled yesterday were not enabled today. I changed nothing! Quite annoying.
  4. Thanks @Michel Kohanim. It's good to know that Matter is a top priority at UDI. Regards, Noel
  5. Here's the back story. You can skip it if you want and go to paragraph 4. I've been spending a lot of time with ZWave and eisy trying to do things with Zwave that Insteon could do with little problem. The zwave devices from ZOOZ have been a bit of a challenge and I was waiting for firmware updates for fix some of the issues I've had. In order to do OTA firmware update on ZooZ sensors and devices I've had to remove the devices from IoX and add them back. When they're added back they get a new ZY number and all programs which reference the device have to be changed. It's only when the old zwave devices are added back with a new device number that the OTA update option appears in the IoX device menu.. The actual updating of the firmware for each device using eisy takes a least 30 minutes. So it can take many hours to update even a moderate zwave installation. It then takes many more hours to update the related programs and test them. Well, I've done that, but just to give one example, the firmware update to Zooz Zen72 dimmer made the dimmer worse in the dimming department. For some reason the brightness cannot to be dimmed past 40%(subjective - could be a lower). Although I am dimming the device to 1% the lower brightness is still very bright and significantly brighter that it was with the original firmware version (Version 1.0 and 1.1 vs version 1.4). When I contacted Zooz about this, they basically said that's the way it has to be. I postulate that they changed it to stop the buzzing or flickering from some bulbs at the lower dim level. I tried this on numerous ZEN 72 dimmers and numerous bulbs in different locations. Because for my applications I need lower dim level I decided to try other dimmers and I came across the Leviton decora smart dimmer 2nd generation (D26HD) (wifi) which has a early access beta download for matter. I just installed it and it easily dims to 1%. BTY the wifi firmware update for the Leviton took about a minute. I have a new Samsung TV with a Smarthings Hub built in which is matter enabled as well. It was a simple task to get the TV to find the matter dimmer. It also asked if I wanted Alexa to control the dimmer. It hooked that up as well, WITHOUT having to ask Alexa to discover devices. It worked instantly and automatically. The downside is that athough you can do some schedules and routines with this dimmer using Smartthings or Alexa it does not enable the type of sophisticated programming that we could always do with ISY, Polisy and EISY. For example, it doesn't do double tap of the on or off switch (it does have a limited form of double tap but not what I need). Right now, in addition to eisy and UDImobile for zwave devices and smartthings for matter. I am using the August app for locks (since the August node server doesn't work for me), the powerview for my Hunter Douglas shades, ring app for my doorbell, nest app for my camera, ev juicenet app for my ev car charger, alladdin connect app for my garage door opener, total connect app for home security. Of those I use the Total Connect node server and also Ecobee node server both of which work well. Previously, I had insteon thermostats, insteon lights, insteon water leak sensors, insteon garage door, insteon automatic water shut off valve, etc. All worked well for many years with minimal time spent troubleshooting. So that leads me to my question.... What is the ETA for Matter on the Zmatter board? I think that will help me in my quest to be able to control most devices from one application and have a level of programming sophistication and ease of use I had for some many years with ISY. I know there are some detractors who say that Matter will never be what is promised, so far, for me at least, it has that potential and I would like it to be a part of EISY sooner rather than later.
  6. I recently upgraded from Polisy to eisy and I'm have difficult getting August NS to work. It worked fine on Polisy. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it many times in various orders. Now, after many attempts I'm receiving the emailed August authenication code . When sending the validation code through IoX I'm receiving an Invalid Authorization code in the log. I've probably made a simple error but I can't find it. Any help to avert my continuing frustration would be appreciated. Here is some info: IoX version 5.7, PG3xversion 3.2.4 By the way the tokenFilePath is a little different for PG3x version: I think it should be like this: /var/polyglot/pg3x/ns/0021b9026739_19 (unless that's my mistake, but without the /pg3x/ I get an invalid file path error) After I restart the node disappears. Here is the log: August_9-19-2023_123751_PM.zip
  7. I was wondering what everyone was using for a central station alarm co. I moved and the company I used for my Elkm1 is no longer in business. I've seen ads for Alarmgrid.com. Anybody use them? I need to be able to connect to a Honeywell alarm using their total connect software. There is a node server which works well with that. Thanks.
  8. Setting the parameters by adding Custom Parameters eventually worked. I had to reboot policy a number of times, watch for emails, install and uninstall the node server several times but eventually it worked. Thanks @DennisC and @dpwwer.
  9. Thanks Bob
  10. I just installed a gen 4 August wifi lock and am trying to get the August nodeserver to work with it. ver 3.1.1, Polisy 5.52, Polyglot 3.1.10. I get the controller in PG3 (1 node) but there is no place to input the parameters indicated in the instructions (email, password, install_id, tokenFilePath). I attached a log file. In the admin console in IoX I do get the controller and an August Lock node to add but since I don't have node address I am not able to add it. Any help appreciated. August_3-21-2023_122222_PM.zip
  11. I'm not too concerned about Wemo, but what it means about Matter implementation. It's been promised for awhile and not really delivered.
  12. Boy, is this disheartening: From the Verge Belkin balks at Matter (msn.com)
  13. I believe it is inaccurate as well. Doesn't make sense.
  14. With the promise of fast and easy control of home automation by many different hubs I wanted to see what Matter had to offer in anticipation of the Polisy/eisy eventual firmware upgrade. I had preordered a Merose MSS115 Matter Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini which promised the moon. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to connect to anything. Not android, not Google, not Amazon Echo. All those devices have the proper specs to be Matter enabled. Not much info on the Mini plugs yet other than someone mentioned you have to actually disable your 5ghz wifi on your router so it will connect to 2.4 ghz. This is so even if different SSIDs. I didn't try that because at that point I had wasted a couple of hours and felt that the future promise is not here yet. Anyone else have any experience with a Matter device?
