I still have 2 scenes scene 1 - Stair Upper Switch with upper switch a controller and lower switch a responder scene 2 - Stair Lower Switch with lower switch a controller and upper switch a responder This just changes the scene but the program is identical to yours. When I add the lines to the then statement I select adjust scene and select the scene then select the device inside the scene is this correct. The only way I could get what you showed was to create the 2 scenes. Sorry for taking up so much of your time. I appreciate it. Hi Lee Still confused. I know you said not to create more scenes but could not understand how my one scene with the 2 switches would work. You referred to 3 scenes. I removed the original Stair Light scene and created 2 scenes. scene 1 - Stair Upper Switch with upper switch a controller and lower switch a responder scene 2 - Stair Lower Switch with lower switch a controller and upper switch a responder I then ran the Then and in the ISY it showed it was set to 30% but when I tried the switch it goes to 100%. I really appreciate the patience you have for me.

Hi Lee Currently I have only one scene called Stair light with both switches in it. If I turn either one on it updates the status on both switches (LED's on the switch). Do I create 2 more scenes with only a single switch in each. Then create the program you suggested. I'm a little confused sorry.

I’m having difficulty getting a 3way switch program working. I have 2 dimmer switches connected via a scene in a 3way config. Everything works great physically using the switches. I’m trying to create a program that will turn on the light to 30% between the hours of 9:00pm and 6:00am the next day on press of either switch. I have this working in my bathroom with a single switch. I tried doing the same for the 3way but it does not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan which has its own RF control (UC7067RC). I would like to switch this out for an Insteon fanlinc. I’m not sure how it should be wired up. (or if it even can be hooked up). It is also hooked up a standard wall switch which I just leave on all the time and use the remotes. The Hampton unit has 5 wires whereas the Fanlinc only has 4. The Hampton has a white and black wire (neutral and load) which I hook up to the main power (like it was on the Hampton unit). The Hampton also has a black wire labeled Motor L (assume Load), a white wire labeled Motor N (assume neutral) and a Blue wire labelled Light. It looks like there is an extra neutral going to the fan motor. I’m not sure where to attach the extra neutral wire. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks Paul. I think I will go the easy route. I already have a Global Cache Itach which I'm using for the TV and I will just use IR for the Apple TV4. Was trying to get away from using the IR cable on the front of the unit.

Does anyone know if there are any Apple TV4 IP commands available to control it from the ISY. I have successfully controlled my Yamaha Receiver and my satellite through the ISY. I can say Alexa turn on the TV. It turns on the TV, satellite and receiver. It also puts the TV and Receiver on the proper inputs and turns on the wall unit lights to a predetermined level. (movie mode). I can also say Alexa turn on the Food Network and it switches the channels. I have done only a few TV stations so far. I really would like to control the Apple TV through IP. I do have an option to use the Global Cache Itach to control through IR but would rather not.

Can the new insteon hub work along side of the hub I'm using for the ISY to use for simple tasks light turning on lights (using Siri). I do not want to loose any of the ISY programming. I guess the question is can devices be paired to both hubs and not interfere.

No a Windows 8 machine. I have been backing up weeks back but have made a lot of changes and I'm trying to back it up again.

Every time I try to backup my ISY I get the following error. Could not retrieve file /conf/net/6.res Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to have a light come on to 30%, wait 5 min. and shut the light off when I shut down entertainment system but only between sunset and sunrise the next day. I have created a scene to turn a light on to 30%. I also created a program to turn on the scene between sunset and sunrise, I activate the program through roomie remote when I shut down the entertainment system. It does work but because this is a program it also automatically runs the program at sunset and the light comes on for 5 minutes and shuts off. Does anyone know of another way to accomplish this so the light doesn't automatically come on at sunset.

There must have been something messed up in the KPL. I restored the device and everything is working correctly. Going to try emailing myself when the door is opened for too long. Thanks everyone.

Sorry I'm very new to the ISY. It shows as being non toggle on. I thought the blinking is from checking LED on TX.

Thanks everyone. The kit worked with my garage openers. I'm having one issue. The KPL button opens and closes the doors but the button LED does not come on at all (when closed or opened). It does flash twice when pressed. I'm pretty sure I followed the directions on this site correctly. Hoping someone can help. Thanks

I'm unable to get the Garage door kit until June 20th. Since i'm ordering the magnetic contacts separately, can I just order the INSTEON IOLinc Low Voltage Input Output Interface Module. I already have the wire. Will this work exactly the same.

I have been reading the forums about installing the garage door kit and I'm wondering if I need to purchase a different magnetic switch for it. It sounds like the one that comes with it will give the opposite of what I want it to do. When the garage door is opened I would like the KPL button's LED to be on and when closed the LED to be off. Thanks for all of your help.

It is very hard to get a wire on it quickly because it is not the standard screw type terminal. Attached is a pic.

First time poster here. I have a Sears Garage Door opener Model 139.18489D and was wondering if anyone knows if it will work with the insteon garage door kit. It looks like it has only 2 wires going to the controller. I have attached a pic of the controller. The controller has motion on it and a light.
