  1. Michel, Thank you for answering my questions. In referring to memory, I meant to ask if the 1000 limits were due to memory limitation or just coded into the firmware ? Yes it is unlikely I will have that many programs my questions are mostly curiosity about the ISY hardware. I'm new to ISY so I have what may seem like insignificant questions, none the less I have a desire to learn. Thanks
  2. Hi, I have been looking for an explanation of ISY Limitations and have not been able to find any except Pro version says 1000 programs / 1000 Scenes. Ok my question is what constitutes a program and / or Scene. Is this memory related? Seems if it is memory related it would depend how many lines are in a program or how many devices are in a Scene ? Do I just count the number of entries on the program summary tab or Scenes I have created ? Speaking of Memory the number of variables and Notification messages and Network IP's & commands would all impact the available memory. What is limitation on "free" memory ? Is there any limit on the number of variables? What role does the Micro SDHC. Can it be replaced it with a larger capacity one ? I'm interested in knowing if anyone can help. Kind of like watching how full your hard drive is getting. Thanks to everyone for your contributions !!

  4. Hi, I have an ISY-99i which gives me certificate errors. I download the UD Admin Console and everything works great. I have a remote cabin without internet access. I'm going to use the ISY-99i there but I have no way to load the UD Admin Console on the machine there. Is there a way I can get a portable version of the UD Admin Console so I can Simply load it via a flash drive ? Thanks for the help. Don

    Purchased Modules

Sorry guys I used a confusing term " module" was mistaken for hardware modules. What I was referring to was the add-on software modules you can purchase for the ISY. I believe LeeG and Teken caught my meaning, thanks for your responses. This raises more questions: 8. I assume then the software module is assigned to the uuid ? So can it be transferred to a newer model when I upgrade ? 9. By doing a backup on the ISY save the software plugin so when I do a restore I'll retrieve it also ? 10. I purchased a used ISY-99i and the about page shows the network module was purchased, however it on another page it says it is not installed. How do I install it ? Thanks Don
  7. Hello, I'm new to insteon and ISY controllers and need some information on buying additional modules. 1. When I purchase a module does it install itself on my ISY-994i Pro ? 2. If I do a factory reset will I loose the module ? 3. If I do loose the module, can it be downloaded again ? 4. How can I protect myself to assure I will always have the module in the future should UD go bye bye like the x10 active home pro software ? 5. Can the module be moved or used on another ISY controller should I upgrade to another controller ? 6. I have 2 ISY controllers (one as a backup) can I install and run the module on both of them ? 7. I need the X10 module, will it give me the full capability of the ISY Controller with all my x10 devices (within the capability of the individual x10 device both PLC and RF) ? Thank You Very Much for your help !!
