  1. thanks getty, will do! and thanks to techman and mrbill as well, your help is appreciated
  2. hey geddy, sorry about the confusion, i understand that the isy doesn't have wireless. i can't get it to connect to a wired network... i have two wired networks, that also happen to have wireless when i connect the isy via patch cord to either of the networks it will not acquire an ip address. yes, i've plugged the isy into the att gateway and it won't connect. the att router/home network/ip allocation page does not show the isy.
  3. long story on why 2 networks... i've had the two networks running for a year or so with the isy running without problems on the 192.168.1 network. i was attempting to move it to the .4 network when i ran into the problem. i was also attempting to change from a static address to a dhcp address. i actually got it up on the .4 network once then changed the isy's config to dhcp and haven't been able to get it back up since. i do have two diff wireless networks, 1 eero and one att with different network names. the att network will go away once i get everything converted to the eero. these two wireless networks have no issues other than i can't get the isy to connect to either one of them. one other comment on something i stated in my original post, i had seen this problem in the past when having to shut down the isy for various reasons. sometimes it wouldn't come back up without multiple power resets. that being said, it's been working perfectly the last couple of years. going back to the sd card, i tried cleaning the contacts as techman suggested and it still doesn't work. guess the next step will be to get a new sd card and go from there?? thanks for clarifying how the lights should be behaving
  4. hi geddy and techman, thanks for your responses! concerning the lights "Error light and Memory light blinking simultaneously:" this is true BUT the power and rx lights are still on as well. still thinking network problem? "Boot up sequence: Power, RX&TX, momentary blink of Memory/RX and TX, and then Power only" mine never gets to power only, my final light configuration is power, rx on solid, memory and error flashing "router" = eero on 192.168.4 network. att bgw210 on 192.168.1 network. the isy does not show up on either router. "Do you have ISY Portal activated for this device" no "It's always best to set a DHCP reservation on your router" dhcp reservations are set up on both routers and i checked that no other devices are using the address specified for the isy "If you have a PLM make sure that it is powered on and connected before you power on the ISY" done and i can see the lights on the plm below the rj45 port blink when i power up the isy "It's possible that putting the network into the PLM port and the PLM into the network port (on a ISY994)" the ports are wired properly techman, i've confirmed all the points within your post any possibility it's a sd card/corrupted file system issue?? thanks again guys!
  5. hi all, i need some help thanks in advance for any you can offer! i've seen discussions on this matter... flashing memory and error lights. but please bear with me while i fully explain my issue and what i'm seeing on my isy that no longer connects to my local network. -the isy is connected to my network (cable between it and a network switch, same as when it worked) -i connect power to the isy -the lights act as follows solid power light comes on shortly followed by solid rx and tx the memory light flashes then goes out solid power, rx, tx still on memory light flashes on again then off, tx also goes off power and rx are still on, memory and error lights begin flashing isy stays in this state while all this is happening the ethernet port left light is on solid, the right one is flashing all that i've read on this would seem to indicate it's a network problem? no sure how because i can connect a roku to the exact same switch port using the exact same ethernet cable and it acquires an ip address from the network and works fine. couple other things to add is that i've seen a problem similar to this in the past but it seems to have always self corrected by itself or with a power reset.... and lastly i did attempt to change the isy's ip static address prior to this problem occurring. i changed it from 192.168.1.240 to 192.168.4.240. i brought up a new 192.168.4 network and was able to access the isy. i then changed the isy to use dhcp and now i can not access it from either the 192.168.1 or 192.168.4 networks. thanks for any thoughts you might have!! ted
