For me, I have to turn off the Secure VPN on my Norton Antivirus software so I can access my ISY994i. Hopefully this will help someone else.

Thank you everyone! I finally got it working tonight! What I did for the light switch, was pit the system in the 'Start Linking' mode, then held the button on the light switch for a couple of seconds until it beeped. They system then found it and added it! As for my new motion sensor, I had to add it, by going to the Link Management, then Add a Sensor, then select Motion Sensor II. It added itself then as well. I appreciate all the people on this forum who help out!

My light switch ID is 52.81.01. When I put that ID in the address field, that is when I get the message that it cannot determine the Insteon Engine. it then just goes away without adding it.

The problem is not with t he new light switch. It is with the Admin Console not having the Device Type anymore!

I did a little more research on this. What I see, in the Admin Console, I tried once more to add the New Insteon Device. I then went through the list of supported devices, and my 2 new devices are no longer there. I have 2 other sets of these devices running for years. Why are they no longer available to add?

I just received a new Insteon Dimmer Switch, Model 2477D, along wit the Insteon Motion Sensor. When trying to add them into my system, I m getting this error on both devices: Well, that number is the Dimmer Switch, but, both get the same error. I am running the OS Version 5.3.0 Any ideas on what is wrong?

I just replaced my old PLM, with a new one, that is a 2.5. How do I get my system working now?

Yes, I did clear my Java cache before trying to log in. I don't think that is my issue.

After upgrading to the new 5.2.0 build, my Insteon FanLinks do not work. I get this error: Is there any help with this issue?

I do have plenty of backups, but after I held the reset button for over 30 seconds, the red error light still blinks at me, and I cant access the device.

Well, I did this procedure, and now my error light is constantly flashing. I then tried holding the reset button for 30+ seconds, but no luck. My ISY is a brick now. Is there any hope?

My ISY-994I stopped letting me log in today! I can pull up the ISY Finder When I try to log in with the Admin portal, the admin/admin does not work. hen, I tried to log into the ISY Dashboard, and it failed: Help! How can I get in?

I have upgraded my ISY to this latest build, with no issues, except for my z wave module. When I tell it to upgrade, I get this error:

well, I just tried accessing it by it's local IP address, and it still closes itself. I tried it on my wife's computer, and it works fine. So, I guess something on my laptop is having an issue.

Thanks, I have Java 8 Update 25 installed. Yes, I keep trying to to access the admin interface via this URL: isy.universal-devices.com/994i/ and as soon as I type in admin/admin, it closes the browser.

When I log into my ISY994i, I get the the interface, then is simply closes the window before I can do anything. I have tried using 3 different browsers, but they all close the window before I can do anything. What do I need to do to fix this action? Thanks! Clif

stusviews, My home automation has only been with X10 systems for 20 years. But, I also have a PLC that I have program to automate my christmas lights outside. I asked for, and got the IS994i for Christmas. I am hoping to integrate it to control my X10 modules to start off with. Then, over time, add more and more INSTEON modules. I am looking forward to using this forum to teach me all I can learn about my new controller.

Thank you. I just ordered the Serial PLM. Hopefully, my new toy will start to work! I wonder why Smart Home would sell the ISY994i without the PLM, if it is required to get it working!

Thank you, everyone! My ISY is the 994i model. Itt did not come with a PLM module. I checked the link above, ad see it is a Serial interface. There is also a USB model. With that work as well?
