My apology, Bill, for not checking first. I will most likely adopt #1. Thanks.

I need a serial PLM but can only find a USB. Can I use a USB PLM on my serial ISY using an adapter?
-
I don't follow. Each device starts working again after it has been restored. If a device had been lost or an interference created somehow somewhere, simply restoring a given device would not restore that lost one or eliminate that interference. And if it did, all devices would be working again, not just some, since the cause affected all the devices at the same time. I don't think it's something physical.

The battery operated are all over the house. Would they go through a single device? And nothing else stopped working so I can’t see what device I lost. Plus all battery operated and power line only devices stopped working at the same time.

ALL the sensors in my home stopped working overnight. Everything else is working fine. Equipment affected: Motion sensors (2842), Open/Close sensors (2843), I/O Linc (2450, the sensors only, the relays are working fine). I use some I/O Linc to open/close the garage doors. The sensors still show correctly on the KeypadLincs (2487) but these are connected with scenes, not through the ISY. I use some other I/O Linc to control the sprinklers (with the relays) and to monitor the working status of my AC units (with the sensors). These sensors don't work either. This afternoon, I "Restore Device" on one Motion sensor, one Open/Close sensor, and two I/O Linc: They work fine again. Any idea what may have happened? I guess I have to restore each of them. RV

Sorry it took me so long, Brian, I was travelling. Long story short, I could not make it work, so I replaced the unit completely. Thanks for your suggestions, I did appreciate them. RV

Yes I did

One of my IO modules does not accept "Trigger Reverse" anymore. It suddenly lost this setting (a lot of power outages lately). When I check "Trigger Reverse," the system shows Busy for a while and the check mark remains on when finished. But when I click Querry, it's gone again. The module is working well but the light on the 8-button panels is now reverse. Anything I can try (beside buying a new one Thanks!

Thanks, Brian. It happened on 5 modules simultaneously though... I guess I will see if it happens again, hopefully not. RV

Thanks to both of you. The modules were set on Latching:Continuous although they were behaving like Momentanary. So I removed them, reset to factory default, and reinstalled them. Everything is back on now. Not sure what caused this behavior on the 5 modules at the same time. Maybe a surge... RV

I am having problems with I/O Linc modules (started a couple of days ago). When I send an ON command, they turn ON but turn OFF after a couple of seconds. The ISY console keeps showing the modules as ON after they have turned OFF. I have 5 of these and they all behave the same way. I deleted one module and reinstalled it, but no change. I disabled all programs that turn these modules OFF. Any idea as to why they behave this way?

Thanks, Michel and Larry. All good now. I was just not opening the connection in Telnet using the o command. Shame on me.

I am trying to connect with Telnet without success. Not sure if it is necessary with Telnet but I can't Enable Internet Access in ISY (Error: Failed Enabling Internet Access). I have setup port forwarding on my eero router. Both commands in Telnet "Telnet 192.168.1.80" and "Telnet 192.168.1.80 8150" give me an Invalid Command error. Is there something I need to check/change? RV

When backing up my ISY, I now get this error (last few weeks): Could not Retrieve File/CONF/UDFLPL.XML Can someone point me to a solution?

Thank you both for responding. ISY has been on for quite a while now. All my motion sensors are in a row on my desk, so at the same distance from the ISY controller. They all have new battery, same settings. I have reset most of them, trying to see if I could fix that behavior. What I do not understand is why they are not showing the same info. They should all be blank or showing a status, but they don't (both Dusk and Battery, I have a quite a few combinations of Blank/ON/OFF)... I guess I will live with it since the sensors themselves are working Is the newer generation better, I mean, are they worth replacing, aside from the fact they can be powered through USB? RV

Several of my motion sensors (older models), versions 2.2 and 2.4, do not report a status (ON or OFF) for the Battery and/or Dusk inputs. It's just blank in the ISY console. The sensor input is always either ON or OFF. Why is that? Regards,

Thanks, Paul, that's a good alternative in view of the load on the system imposed by the solution I have. Happy 4th! RV

I want a button on a Keypadlinc to blink to catch attention more than by simply being ON. I can turn it ON or OFF using a Scene but is there a way to make it blink, other than: Repeat 1000 times Set Scene_xxx On Wait 1 second Set Scene_xxx Off Wait 1 second Thanks!

Looks somewhat above my head but I am sure I will get information I can use. Thanks for pointing it out. RV

Perfect 10 again! Thanks, LeeG! RV

I have a KPL with 4 buttons that control scenes: Each scene is: Button as controller Lights in corresponding room as responders So Button A controls Room 1, B controls 2, etc. Everything works fine. I have a 5th button 'All Lights OFF' which is toggle off, so pressing it always turn all my lights off, but the LEDs of the individual buttons don't turn off. I used the button as the Controller and the all the lights in the 4 rooms as Responders. How can I make the LED of the individual buttons turn off along with the lights? Thanks for the help. RV
