Which product to buy
The floodlight illuminates the driveway when we drive in or out. Placing one on the other side would light the deck which we certainly don't want. More importantly, except for the sound system, symmetry is seriously shunned in our home. We achieve a mental balance through disarray

Security on Amazon Echo/ISY
I already had the IZZY skill installed. I didn't think about asking IZZY to do something that didn't appear in the list, but it worked. Thanks

Which product to buy
2. Before the FanLinc, I had no difficulty fitting two ILLs into a standard ceiling box, a relay for the fan and a dimmer for the light. And this exterior fixture box currently has two ILLs, a dimmer for the wall fixture and a rely for the floodlight:

v.4A is also the version that I've had success with.

Security on Amazon Echo/ISY
No success. I have both A Schlage BE469 and an FE599. I added both to the portal, gave them each a different spoken. But neither were discovered.

Bronze is available. You could even paint the box

Which product to buy
The ILL will easily fit in a standard 4" round (so called, it's actually an octagon) fixture/ceiling box. It does not in any way interfere with the installation of the fixture. There are also exterior boxes that don't look bad, in both gray and brown. White, too. You do not need an extra large box!!! You do not need a switch box!!!
-
Which product to buy
The ILL is usually installed in the fixture box as it's meant primarily for the situation where there is not a switch. If you're going to add a switch box, then use an On/Off Switchlinc. Either one can be remotely controlled, but the SwitchLinc is a more convenient disconnect. In any case, a code compliant installation requires a switch box plate, either for a paddle or a blank.

Which product to buy
The ILL is especially made for location where there is not a switch box. It's in conformance with both the NEC and CSA to use an ILL in place of a switch. A switch box is a better choice, if you can install one, but it's not a requirement. The ILL On/Off switch will work with LED bulbs. It's capable of 20 amps, so the inrush of LED bulbs should not be a problem.

iR sender - 2411T won't connect
Keep in mind that creating links is a lot more intense than controlling them. An especially clean circuit helps when creating those links.

15A and 20A Insteon Filters
You are correct, it's actually a band-stop filter keeping frequencies around the X10/Insteon powerline frequency from entering the device (signal sucker) or being transmitted for the device (signal stomper).

iR sender - 2411T won't connect
The IR Linc is powerline only. Is it plugged in on the same circuit as your AV gear?
-
iR sender - 2411T won't connect
I thought your difficulty was with step 5.
-
iR sender - 2411T won't connect
The ISY is not actually involved until step 7. If you're setting up the IR Linc in its final location, you may want to try in a more convenient place.

Multiple Lighting Scenes
Check each individual device in each scene to ensure that a button is not setting the local On-level (Applied Locally).
-
Adjust Local On Level
Larry, AFAIK, the reason that the ISY links a scene controller as a responder also is to save links, thereby using less memory. It's a rare situation where one wants a controller to not also be a responder.

Access to Internet / Access to ISY944i using cell phone
Do not select Enable Internet Access. That option is less secure and does not actually enable off-site access in and of itself. Port forwarding and a service is one method, MobiLinc and/or the portal are other secure ways to access your ISY from off-site.
-
Adjust Local On Level
Not so. For example, if you add two SwitchLincs as scene controllers, then both will respond if either SwitchLinc is turned on or off. But if you add one as a responder, then that one will not control the other one. It's not possible to add a SwitchLinc as a controller only. OTOH, if I use any other software or the Hub, then I can make the SwitchLinc be a controller only. It will not respond to the other device.
-
Adjust Local On Level
The Insteon protocol allows a device in a scene to be either a controller only, a responder only or both a controller and a responder (if the device can be both). The ISY does not have that capability. In particular, if a device is a scene controller, then it's also a responder to that scene. But a device can be a scene responder without being a scene controller.
-
Adjust Local On Level
The ISY does not have a provision for a device to be only a scene controller, if it's a controller, then it's also a responder. A device can be a scene responder only, however. It this different for version 5?

LampLinc 2457D2 Question
The ISY is unaware of the load sense feature, but will detect the status of the LampLinc no matter how it was controlled.

Which product to buy
The In-LineLinc is an ideal solution.

Adjust Local On Level
That's precisely the concept I posted in #9

Which lock did you add?

Adjust Local On Level
When using a program, version 4+ does not have ramp rate available for devices, only scenes do.
