  1. I can hit the "do" button on my apple watch and have it turn on my BLINK LED in just a few seconds. Seems adequate for lighting control.
  2. Oh, and with the new IFTTT "Do" button on my apple watch I could turn lights on/off from my watch...
  3. IFTTT supports so many triggers the options are nearly endless, but here's a few off the top of my head: 1) Turn on lights when my phone gets close to my house 2) Turn off lights when my phone gets far away 3) Arm ELK when phone gets far away 4) Use amazon echo to turn on/off scenes 5) Blink kitchen lights to convey information, like email received, stocks down, cubs win, tornado warning, incoming cell call, etc. 6) SMS to turn on/off scenes 7) Turn on TV scene when game is on I'm betting there are even better ideas here on the forums. Check out some of the homeseer recipes on their IFTTT channel, these would all be applicable to an ISY channel as well: https://ifttt.com/recipes?channel=homeseer
  4. IFTTT support would certainly give us a lot of power over how we control our ISY devices. I'm sure most of your users would appreciate this addition!
  5. Homeseer has a nice IFTTT channel now... hopefully ISY can follow suite!
  6. for some reason, it takes about 3 min for ifttt to trigger my blink lamp after an amazon echo trigger... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. How about cloudmailin.com? "CloudMailin accepts emails and will forward any email we receive to the following via HTTP POST" Free account will do 200 email forwards a month.
  8. Looks difficult to set up, especially since I don't have a webserver set up or a linux box. I wonder if yahoo pipes could do this. Looks like Huginn can do this but looks complex to set up.
  9. Seems like it would be easy to write code (if it doesn't exist already) that can check an email account, and when it sees certain keywords send a REST command. IFTTT will send emails so this would be more straightforward than setting up a wordpress server.
  10. I sent amazon a request to add ISY support. It looks like there is limited IFTTT support now from the echo. You can trigger recipes when you add things to your to-do or grocery list, or ask to have the list read. I am going to try to see if I can turn on scenes by asking echo to read the to-do list. I don't think IFTTT can do REST commands. Any ideas how to convert an email from IFTTT into an action on the ISY?
  11. I did the beacon test and about half of my switches were on the same power leg. The switch in question is on the other leg from the PLM. What is the typical range of the RF? This switch is across an open room from one of the switches on the correct leg, maybe 30' open space.
  12. This switch was getting communications for turning on and off, but couldn't have scene programming changes written from the ISY. Moving the ISY to the same wall as the switch worked, but the ISY could no longer control my X10 devices in the new position. This makes me believe the switch is on a different 120V leg than the original ISY position. So I assume it's being controlled by RF and not powerline communications for routine on/off commands.
  13. Also, it seems like the switch-to-switch communication works over RF or powerline, but any programming (extended messages?) requires a powerline only link.
  14. Great, this fixed my issue, thanks! My problem was I was selecting the scene, then adjusting switch A's slider, instead of selecting the controller then adjusting switch A slider.
  15. I'm going to call the switch I want to be 50% in scenes switch A. Ok, local on-level for switch A is set to 50%. If I turn the light on/off on the switch A, it goes from off to 50%. If I activate the switch on from any switch B, C, D that are controllers for scenes that switch A is a responder, switch A will go to 100%, even though I've set it to 50% in all these scenes. If I turn the scenes on from the ISY admin console, it works correctly, switch A comes on at the assigned 50%.
  16. Is this somewhere in the admin console of the ISY?
  17. I'm not sure what you mean by resume bright option. I can't find it in the SwitchLinc owner's manual. This is something set up on the switch itself and not in ISY?
  18. Ok, I moved the ISY next to the switch and I was able to get it to link. New problem: I am able to add it back to the scenes, but I can't get it to be 50% dim. Even though it is set to 50% on level in each scene it's in, it still comes on at 100% when the scene is turned on. When I adjust the dim level for a scene, I see it write sucessfully to the switch (and in fact, it goes to 50% temporarily). But when the scene goes off then back on it's back to full 100%.
  19. So the problem is one of the other switches closer to the ISY is not passing/relaying extended messages?
  20. I've installed all the switches in the last 2 months, so they are all new versions. There are probably 6 dual-band switches within 20' of this switch, so I would think even if powerline communication issues the RF should hit it. Also, how is it I can flawlessly control this switch from other switches, as well as from the ISY interface, but there are communication issues only when doing this programming?
  21. Same problem trying it with the ID. Doubt wiring issues as it worked for weeks and suddenly had an issue when programming one day - didn't reopen the gang box. Any idea what reason 9 is?

  23. I had a 2477D insteon switch working fine with my ISY system; then one day it was being added to a scene in my ISY, and the ISY reported it couldn't communicate with it (but I could still turn the switch on/off via ISY interface, and it was still responding to scenes). I tried a factory reset of the switch (with air-gap, etc) and deleted the switch from my ISY and tried to re-link afresh. When I hit the linc button on the switch, the ISY sees it as a new insteon device and sees the address, but then when I try to complete the link, and it tries to initialize the system, I get an error that it can't be added, because it cannot determine the device link table address. I upgraded to pro just in case this was the issue but it didn't fix it. Any ideas? Thanks!
