  1. Woah ... this is DEFINITELY NOT what I expected, nor want! If you click a node in "My Lighting" I expect you to be setting the local onlevel and ramp rate. (you are, then you have to know to air-gap to take effect) If you click a SCENE name, however, I expect the sliders to be adjusting the onlevel and ramp rate of those responders for that scene, REGARDLESS of who is controlling it. (ISY, a KPL, SWL, Divine Intervention, etc) I should be able to set a KPL button as a controller of a scene to fade on a group of lights. All of the responders in that scene should have their own custom on level and ramp rates; instead you're saying (and I'm witnessing) that they all default to instant ON. I'd need to write a program so that they ISY can call the scene and have the onlevel and ramp rates respected. I still want scenes written out to the devices with the appropriate onlevel/ramp rates. When you write that link into each device of a scene, why aren't you writing the onlevel/ramp rate set in the scene? I'm still new to the ISY, so maybe I'm missing something 'cause this seems really basic ... I had this functionality when programming scenes manually by tapping switches.
  2. How do I "reset" the KPL button? For example, if I turn on an "Away" button, but I forget to turn it off, a program will run each day at 6am and turn it off for me, so that it doesn't trigger events the next day which check that button's status. (or CONTROL, since it's a weird KPL!) When I try to set an Action when making a program, the KPL buttons (other than the load) are not options. Thanks! ~shawn
  3. DAMN the bass-ackwards KPL's! Thanks ... "Control" it is! ~shawn
  4. ahhh .... MUCH easier! thanks! ~shawn
  5. When Creating "virtual multi-way" circuits, how many scenes are required to do this? I think it goes like this, correct me if I'm wrong: (Wrong info removed, see answer below)
  6. I read that you must air-gap the switches to reset their local ramp rates. This solved my problem, and should probably be written as a "Note: Device must be air gapped before these changes take effect" on the node settings screen. (I'm still in the dark about Q 2 in my first post ... any ideas here?) Cheers! ~shawn

    "Move to Scene"

In addition, it should probably also have an ellipses to indicate that this isn't a final "command" but rather a link to another dialog: Add to Scene...
  8. Another question ... When making programs, such as: If Receive X10 House Code 'B' Unit Code '2' Command '3 - On' Then Set 'Cabana @ Back Office' On Wait 5 seconds Set 'Cabana @ Back Office' Off Finally - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') The light turns on as though a FAST ON was received. When I select that node in "My Lighting" the Ramp Rate is set to 2 seconds. This is the "local" ramp rate, right? So shouldn't the above program fade the light up over 2 seconds?

    "Move to Scene"

When right-clicking a node and selecting "Move to scene": "Move" is a little misleading. I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that this should instead read "Add to Scene" Move incorrectly implies it will also be REMOVED from the current scene, or "My Lighting".
  10. I'm making tracks setting up my ISY for the first time and have a couple of questions: 1) I don't see a place to switch between 6 and 8 button modes on a KPL. Is that change possible through ISY? Not a big deal, just thought I remembered seeing that somewhere. 2) I'm making a program to turn on a few lights an hour after sunset IF my "Away" KPL button is ON. It would make sense to me that I should be adding a condition to check the STATUS of this KPL button, but when STATUS is selected, the KPL buttons (other than the load) are not options in the drop down. If I change STATUS to CONTROL, the KPL buttons ARE options. I don't want this to wait for someone to PRESS the "away" button, I want to test whether it's on or not. Am I missing something, or is the syntax just getting in my way? Also, maybe this is a 2.4.9 bug, but I had problems swapping a KPL. I needed to replace one, so I physically replaced it, added the new KPL to ISY, then right-clicked the old KPL and selected "Replace KPL with" and selected the NEW KPL. Nothing happened. I ended up just REMOVING the old one, relabeling the new one and adding it to the couple of scenes I'd created so far. Cheers!
