  1. The new switch was a relay and the old one was a dimmer, so the option was not available.
  2. One of my insteon switches went on fritz, so I decided to replace a device. While adding it to device scenes, i continue to get the following error "could not open config file to read". I'm working in the Administrative Console. I'm baffled. ISY has been reliable.
  3. I would like to run the Weather Module on a timely basis and send notification if the Weather reaches a certain temp. I would like to delay any repeat notification so that I don't get flooded with emails. Any tips on how to program this in a program. I know it must relate to the if statement. Current Logic which continues to run. If Module 'Climate' temperature <= 20 F' Then Send Notification All Wait 4 Hours
  4. Does anyone have experience setting up email notification using a Verizon Yahoo? I got it to work with a gmail account and the gmail isy test account. What should the settings be? The issue must be specific to Yahoo. SMTP? outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net SMTP Port? 587 User ID? xxxx@verizon.net TLS? checked
  5. My ISY locked up and I have disconnected it from the computer and reconnected with everything powered down. The ISY does not light as it usually does when its connected to the network. I only get dim light for Tx, Mem and Error. Is there any other way to reset or reboot the ISY? I have never had problems before. My computer is not recognizing the ISY. I had this problem after upgrading to 2.6.7.
  6. I followed the upgrade directions very closely. The issue seems to be when I enable internet access. It disables the internet access for my other websites that require an internet security certificate. I was able to confirm this when I disabled/enabled this feature several times. The URL was different. https://##.##.##.## not http:/##.##.##.##:#####/0/x. It must have done something to the ports, etc. All the websites started asking for user ID and password and I was getting certificate errors in Internet Explorer. I went back to 2.6 with no issues.
  7. I'm having a problem with a doorbell program that is activated by an X10 Command and does two different events based on if the Foyer Light is On or Off. If the foyer light is off then, it turns on for 5 minutes or if on then blinks. The program is activated and continues to loop through the else statement blinking the light. Am I missing something? If X10 'B1/On (3)' is Received And Status 'Foyer' is Off Then Set Scene 'Foyer_S' On Wait 5 minutes Set Scene 'Foyer_S' Off Send Notification to All Stop program 'Door_Bell_Light_Notify' Else Set Scene 'Foyer_S' Off Wait 2 seconds Set Scene 'Foyer_S' On Send Notification to All Stop program 'Door_Bell_Light_Notify'
  8. How about adding logic that defaults to adding the comment to the message? you can enable this feature or disable.
  9. I added a notification to my scheduled events and receive the following message> ********************************* 9/25/2007 00:58:47: At My Lighting: Sched has changed to Met. *** Service Machine. DO NOT REPLY *** ********************************** Is there a way to have a description or this message customized with the name of the scheduled event?

    Initial Install

Install went ok. Except it converted all my scheduled events to turn off. Minor inconvenience. I also had to rename all my schedules.
  11. Would you please let me know whether or not you can access ISY using the icon in Network [Vista]/My Network Places [XP]? ** I can access ISY using my network places. If you can access ISY using the icon, then the problem is that of port forwarding issue in your router. Do you have a UPnP enabled router? **I have a Belkin Pre N Router (F5D8230-4). UPnP is enabled. i.e. do you get the remote URL (http://##.###.###.###:#####/0/x) by performing File->Enable Internet or have you manually added port forwarding in your router? ** I do get a remote address when enabling Internet. I can access with any computers connected to my wireless network using the remote URL, but not external. The admin console does not show up.
  12. I have tried several times to access my ISY remotely with computers that are Jave 6 enabled. The webpage opens with "please keep this window open", but the Administrative Console does not open. When I try to access via the UD website, I get the Administative Console, but nothing else. Any pointers? I'm putting in the correct address. http://##.###.###.###:#####/0/x
