Hello again, Thank you both. lgilsenberg, I have already done all this since as I mentioned I see my devices in the "do this action" section. But I still followed your advice and followed your procedure again, but without success. oberkc, I think you're right about the sensors because I tested all the "Alexa categories" using my dining room light by simulating that it was a switch, fan, motion detector etc. I'm sure you're right about the sensors. And the only ones that made my dining room light appear in the "when it happens" section was when I said it was a motion sensor or a contact sensor. Unfortunately I can't use these types for my light because anyway when you arrive in the routine, although it is detected, it gives me possible actions that are not compatible with my light, like what to do if a movement is detected. So I think I should resign myself to using variables. However, this is the area of my isy that I understand the least. It would have been great if switches and lights were accepted in the "when it happens" section. I hope an update will fix that. Thanks again for your help. DjBoomBoX

Hello, Thank you for this help. Maybe you would have an answer for me, in the routines, in the "when it happens" section the only option I have is to choose a motion sensor. Hi Andy I went to my sister's house and i check what you said. "under Settings, I have a section called PTZ. Under PTZ there is a startup option. Stusview: yes there is a problem because she would only be record her house when she go out and I she can left anytime. So that way is a very quick way to start the camera just by hit a button to start them when she quit. I will do the Andy's suggestion as soon as I will visit her. Thank you

Hi gang ! I installed at my sister's house 2 camera insteon 75790 that i connect to 2 insteon outlet. When she leave her house she press on a switch near the door. That give power to those outlet and those one start cameras. She like that setup because she only use canera when she is not home. The problem is when you power on those camera the head moving from left to right and from bottom to top before it will take is position. It is a problem because after 3 month of start and stop those camera both have broken in the same week and have the same problem. Now when you powered them on they do the move from left ro right and after when they do the move from bottom to top they stuck there and they are record rhe roof. I explain that to my provider and because they have the same age, same use time and same problem he accept to exchange those camera to 2 new 75790. He was kind because they were not warranty at this time (it took a while before install them but i use it only 3 months) So my question is before i reinstall those one i would like to desactivate the head moving when you plug them for always. Because i am sure those one will also dead in 3 months if i keep that activate. I check but i cannot find any way to desactivate that. Anybody knows how to ? Thank you for you time. It is appreciate

Hi Kevin: ok îll try this. Stusview: like i said earlier, only part of the program. In that case the door lock is not working in the first program (was ok before i update a program for my water leak sensor that is completely not related to that one) and it is ok on the second program. As you can see the command for locking the door is the same on both program and the rest of the program that won't work for locking the door, is working well. Thank you

Hi "ISY" friends I have a problem with the "program" part of my isy994i. This happen couple time since i have my system (around 1 year) but I thought i was the wrongdoer, but now I know it is not me. When I update a program ans save it, for any reason, one or many part in one program or in many programs that are not link with my change for any reason, stop working partially or totally. EG: Yesterday, I update my leak sensor program (add to make 3 lights flash 3 times when I am in my house). So I add those lines to an existing program. I saved it. I tested it (that program work well before the add and also with the new add) because I now it happen, I decide to test few others programs to make sure they are still working well. I test the program that make my light goes off and my door lock when I quit the house. (as you can see no link with my leak sensor). It close my light but won't lock my door anymore. I have another program that I call when I go to bed. This one close my lights and lock my door. (I know it does the same as the other one that is mention above but I need it ...) And that program close my light and still lock my door. I test another program. When I come home 2 lights in a scene open when it is the night. 1 of those light will close after 5 minutes. But now, after my update of my leak sensor program, it won't close the light after 5 minutes but the rest of the program is ok ! Another program (let name it "A") suppose to run the "else" part of another program (let name it "B"). By this I should see the other program ( in "False" status. So that part of the program not work in the "A" program. BUT if I right click on the program ( and choose "run else" the status change of the program ( In the past and also today I did those things (below) with sometime success (in part) sometimes it change nothing: - Reboot Isy - Try to copy the program, delete the old one and rename the copy same as the original. - Try to remove the line in the program, update, save it and recreate the line. I am not feel secure with that system because each time I touch something it as a possibility to destroy totally or in part others stuffs. Have you seen that in your "isy" life ? Hi Larryllix, For the battery, basicly what i understand is better to forget that because it is not reliable. I will listen to you ! For the dust/dawn (7 push): The status was empty and never appear. So like i said, 30 minutes after it appear by itself. So tomorrow what i'm gonna do, by the day, i'm gonna put it to a dark place and i will push the button 7 time to see if it is refresh fast in my isy. So other news will come tomorrow ! Hi, If i understand properly ... I hold the set button for 5 sec. Then the MS light is flashing.(linking mode) The second time i press it it flash quicker. (i don't know why) so i press 6 times again (to make 7 push in total ) and all those push make my sensor activity "ON"-"OFF"-"ON"-"OFF"-"ON"-"OFF" (so my light turn on and off several time. But my dusk dawn current state is still empty in my isy994i for my MS. Also, it seems it is not send the new darkness sensitivity information to the MS. It was at 128 in the isy994i and i change it to 35 by the time i am in linking mode. and nothing seems to be affect. I know "1" is for if i want my light open when it is more dark and "255" open the light when it is more lighty. So I tested those 2 differents setup and leave them for 2 hour each time and it doesn not make any different. All the time my light is open when i pass in front of the MS. Hi Thank's guys ! I begun by testing the solution of larrylix and for me that doesn't work. After, i tested the solution of stusviews and for me that one works ! The thing that i notice when i did that is, because i move the motion sensor to put it in link mode it goes to "ON" (it is normal). After i link it, it does not going to "OFF" after 1 minute (i set the timeout to 1 minute. To fix that, after i put it to is own place i just pass in front of it and the timeout counter begin and after that minute it goes off. For me it is ok to live with that. it is not a big issue. I just wrote it here for make sure if someone read it in the future for the same problem, he will see that will occur. Now i will try to adjust the darkness !!! Thank you for your time. Hi, Sorry for my English. I speak french usually. I bought a year and a half ago 2 motions sensors Insteon 2842-222. I just install it 1 month a go (no time before). Both have the same problem. When i try to change something in the motion sensor ("option" button in the device inside isy994i) eg brightness from 128 to 135, when i click ok it start updating. 1 Windows pop on and off without problem. Second one also ok but, at the end of the third one a got an error "cannot communicate with "my motion sensor address". Please check connection. I know a motion sensor has 3 parts. Dusk, battery and sensor. The one that crash is the "sensor" a i can see it by the address in the error message because the address is finish by "1" (XX XX XX 1). This is what i try to try to fix it.(not in that order) - I try to remove device from isy994i and reinstall it. - I try to replace the battery with a brand new one. - I did a factory reset with the button on the motion sensor. - I reboot my isy994i. All my jumper are not install except the number 5 in the motion sensor to be able to control it by the isy994i. The version of my firmware and udi are 4.5.1 Can someone assist me to fix that please ? Hi gang Sorry for my imperfect english I have a waterleak sensor and i would like it make my light in my house are flashing 3 times, wait 2 minutes, flash again, etc, as long as the waterleak sensor is still on (recognize water). I would like also it check my light status before starting to flash and put them back as what they are before starting to flash when the leak sensor is going to off, mean no water problem anymore For example, before my water problem appear my living room light was on at 40%, and my kitchen light was off so i would like it flash as describe above and as soon as the water problem is finish,put it back at the same level as what they were. Hi Everybody, Thanks all for your help. A special thanks to Oberkc. He found the solution by discussing offline with him. Basicly the problem was in my program, in "adjust scene", in the field "In scene" a choose the name of the scene BUT when i create my scene and add my bathroom light switch as a controler, in the dropdown list of the same field, it appear my bathroom switch (the device itself). So in the field "In scene" i have to choose the device, not the scene. (i did not saw that before Oberkc told me) Thank you again Oberkc and all the other guys that try to help me DjBoomBoX

I want to update the device level in the scene but when i run that line: "In Scene 'soir' Set 'Lumieres / Lumieres interieures / Lum. salle de bain' 40% (On Level)" if i click on my scene "soir" i can see "Lum. Salle de bain" "On level" "40%". but if i click on my device "Lum. Salle de bain" Under my scene name "soir" The "On level [apply locally]" stay at 100%. And the result of that, when i hit the switch it light up at 100%. Oberkc: "In Scene 'name_of_scene_controller' Set 'name_of_scene_responder' 40% (On Level)" are you sure yoy would like to say "In Scene 'name_of_scene_controller' Set 'name_of_DEVICE_responder' 40% (On Level)" ? Because as i can see we cannot "set" a scene but only a device. Thanks

Hi guys, Thanks for your help and patience I tested both program above. The program of Stusview is not working for my task because it change the scene when you hit the switch. So when i hit the switch i can see in my isy994i the "system busy" Windows that pop. That mean it make the change in the scene at this point but the light is already on without the new information in the scene. The program of Oberkc could work but the problem is at 8 pm, it change the scene to 40% and at sunrise it change it to 100% (which it is ok) but there is the problem. In my scene "soir" my device "Lum Salle de bain" on the "on level" the program make the proper change depending the time. But if i click on my device "Lum. Salle de bain" Under the scene "soir" the "On level [Apply locally]" cursor stay to 100% all the time. so when i hit my switch in my bathroom it open my light all the time to 100%. If i change manually the "On level [Apply locally]" cursor it is working (i mean it does not go to 100% then 1 second after to 40%) but in that program it doesnt not change the "On level [Apply locally]" cursor when it is 8 pm to 40%. It only change the "on Level" in the scene". It is hard to explain. i hope it is understand well from you guys. I try to attach print screen of what i explain above but i cannot see anything here that make that possibility. Hi, Thank you for your assistance and also sorry for my English. I have a 2477d Insteon switch in my bathroom ans it is link to an isy994i. (by a serial PLM). What i would like to do is when i hit the switch, if it is from 8 pm to sunrise, my light will open at 40% . Otherwise (example at 1 pm) if i hit the switch it will open at 100%. My program work well but on the evening, when i hit my switch my light goes to 100% for about a second and then it goes to 40%. In my program i try to call direct the switch and the problem is there. So i try to call a scene that include my switch and the problem is still there. I have a lot of 2477d in my house. so i try to open my bedroom light (so it is my 2477d switch for my bedroom) with my bathroom switch and my bedroom light does not doing the same problem. But, if i try to do the same thing (same program) from my bedroom switch (i mean open my bedroom light with my bedroom switch at different level depending the time in the day) i have the same problem. So my thinking is, when you hit a switch that is direct link to a light it open it is so fast that the isy994i is not enought fast to respond before that happen so that's why it goes to 100% then 40% 1 second after.
