  1. To do the same thing through the ISY, set the ON/OFF button to non-toggle Off mode. It sounds odd but the ON button will always turn the load On. The OFF button will not light when pressed to turn the load Off.

    Setting Up ISY

The WiFi is on the local LAN. The ability to send an external IP address on the LAN side depends on whether your router supports that. Does your router accept an external IP address from the LAN? Since it did not work it sounds like no.
  3. The ISY marks all the Scene devices Off. There is no device response to the Scene On or Scene Off. There is a comm problem of some type with that particular device. Could be distance to the device, interference from the type of loads that are controlled by that Scene, phase coupling, etc. Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at LEVEL 3. Turn that device On and Off a few times and watch the Hops Left=x count. Does it change over time? If the device works individually with at least a consistent Hops Left=1 or greater count, turn On the other devices controlled by the Scene and see if the problem device Hops Left=x count changes.
  4. That is an ISY Scene associated with power company Demand Response. The Scene has been there since moving to the 994i. It cannot be deleted.
  5. Yes. Be sure to follow the instructions in the Wiki for replacing a PLM. The sequence of removing power from the ISY, connecting the new PLM, powering the PLM and the booting up ISY and restoring the PLM is very important for the ISY to know a new PLM is being used. Note that if using a 2412 now an external power supply is needed as the 2413 Dual Band PLM does not provide power to the connected device Wiki link - section 6.1 http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... :File_Menu
  6. The Compare function compares the content of each actual device link record against what the ISY believes should be in that specific record. Works on individual devices because the ISY controls where each link record is written with individual devices. The PLM link database management is done by the PLM itself. The ISY sends a Serial command to the PLM with the functional information that goes into the PLM link record. The PLM is responsible for knowing where available space is located, whether an existing link exists and the link record is being updated, etc. Since the ISY has no information about where a given link record is written in the PLM link database it is impossible to do a Compare. When the Show PLM Links Table reads the first record from the PLM the ISY has no idea what is actually in that record as the PLM manages where each record is written. Without knowing what should be in PLM link record 1, 2, 3 etc the ISY cannot say if PLM link record 1 or 2 or 3 is correct.
  7. Unfortunately there is no Compare for the PLM. The ISY does not know where the PLM writes the link records (as far as which link record) so it cannot Compare the Show PLM Links Table results. sorka How wide spread is the problem in terms of what devices have been affected. The last time it was determined that the issue was across various device types. Is that the case this time?
  8. The first command (4F 02) is asking for the state of ALL relays. The result is a bit map (01) with each bit showing the On/Off status of its respective relay. Relay 1 bit is On indicating relay 1 is On. The other relays are Off. Same with the second command (49 00). All Inputs are checked with the results returned as a bit map of which Inputs are On. Inputs 5&6 are On (30), the result of connecting them to Gnd. Remove the white cardboard filler and look inside both folds. The cable may have been removed because it was not needed for this situation. A spare cable can be ordered from Simplehomenet/Smartenit.
  9. Do a Show Device Links Table for both devices and post the results. Need to know Insteon address of both devices.
  10. If a Restore Device did not remove the link there should be an ISY Scene containing those devices.
  11. The detectors should be linked to each other so that all detectors alert regardless of which one trips. That is most important. That would also cause all the Smoke Bridge devices to trip.
  12. The information is sent to the ISY using normal Insteon messages. I used a REST call to retrieve that information. http://192.168.2.3/REST/nodes/xx yy zz 1/ - xx yy zz is Insteon address If looking at how to access the information with a client look at the WSDK forum category.

    Isy 99i

It is a new ISY. A little larger in size. You keep the 99i.
  16. Very likely the door magnetic switch has an EOL resister that is often found in wired systems. Trying to share the same switch for two purposes may always be a problem.
  17. Right click the Primary EZIO8SA node which is Relay 1. The Query response will be for all EZIO8SA nodes. Be sure Inputs 5&6 are connected to EZIO8ASA Gnd. This is necessary to keep those Inputs from cycling if not connected to something. Is this a new EZIO8SA/PLM combination from Simplehomenet/Smartenit? If the PLM was in the original PLM container the serial cable is inside the white cardboard filler inside the box.
  18. The jumper controls whether the Sensor uses one node (cycles On/Off) or two nodes (On only commands). Use of an external switch should make no difference regarding which node(s) are used. An external switch that is closed does not allow the magnetic switch to work as the external switch and the magnetic switch are wired in parallel. Either switch being closed turns the Sensor On. Removing the jumper and cycling the battery long enough for the Sensor to actually power down should force the Sensor to use two nodes. If that is not what is happening the Sensor is not working correctly. Note that when a factory reset is done the Sensor must be put into linking mode and a Restore Device done to rebuild the erased link database. Thank you for the nice words. There are lots of really good folks who support this forum along with UDI who are the best in the business.
  19. Parens are needed for the IF to work. The variable is ANDed with the first and only the first Control statement without the parens. If $Night is 1 And ( Control '1ST FLOOR / Kitchen Sink' is switched Off Or Control '1ST FLOOR / Kitchen' is switched Off Or Control '1ST FLOOR / Kitchen Sink / Kitchen Sink.D.OFF' is switched Off Or Control '1ST FLOOR / Kitchen Table / Kitchen Table.D.OFF' is switched Off Or Control '1ST FLOOR / Kitchen / Kitchen.D.OFF' is switched Off Or Control '1ST FLOOR / Mud Room / Mud Room.D.OFF' is switched Off Or Control '1ST FLOOR / TV Remote( IRLink) / TV Remote.J.HOME' is switched Off ) Then Set '1ST FLOOR / Kitchen Under.Stove' 20% Set '1ST FLOOR / Kitchen Sink' 24% Else Wait 15 seconds Also note that the Wait 15 in the Else clause serves no function since there are no statements after the Wait
  20. When the jumper is removed the Open Close Sensor operates in two node mode. It sends an On command to one node when Open, and an On command to the other node when Closed. Note that the User Guide indicates the battery has to be removed and restored after changing the jumper position for it to take effect.
  21. Teken No as far as turning On any button LED while the LEDs have been physically turned Off. The point of the change was to darken the KPL at night. Allowing a button LED to turn On when pressed defeats the function. The button is functional in that it sends an On or Off command when pressed. However the button LED does not respond until the backlight level is moved from the Off (0/0) level.
  22. This Program ran successfully If Time is 1:55:00PM Then Set 'KeypadLinc v.41' On 0 / Off 0 (Backlight Level) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')
  23. This Program just ran successfully, turning all LEDs Off. When turned back to the desired backlight level the buttons that were On will still be On. If Time is 1:55:00PM Then Set 'KeypadLinc v.41' On 0 / Off 0 (Backlight Level) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

    Isy 99i

Image 3.3.10 is the latest that will install on a 99i. That image was released well before the Door Sensor was announced and released. 4.1.2 has support for the Door Sensor which requires a 994i. The UDI Web site under "Buy" tab has an upgrade option listed for upgrading to a 994i.
  25. Not sure obsolete is right word but 3.3.10 is the last firmware that can be installed on a 99i. Images after that are too large for the memory in a 99i.
