  1. The Heartbeat node cycles every 24 hours (approx). Making the Leak Sensor Wet will affect the Heartbeat Status in its next 24 hour cycle. My Leak Sensor says Heartbeat at 4.2.25 but the Leak Sensor was added to the ISY in an earlier image. If the size of the device name column is expanded does that show the full Heartbeat name?

    Ham Weather

Need to upgrade ISY as well.
  3. Perhaps knowing what you would do with the entry will help. It has no Insteon/Zwave/Zigbee address. All the configuration of the ISY itself is done with options in File, Link mangement, etc
  4. The ISY PLM is not listed in the devices tree. It never has. All the commands that apply to a PLM are accessed with pulldown options.
  5. Use the Buttons Toggle Mode to set the KPL buttons to All Toggle, then Factory Reset KPL. Right click on KPL Primary node and select Restore Device. That should set the buttons back to toggle mode. If Room1 should always ramp slowly On and Off set the Local Ramp Rate for Room1 to the desired Ramp Rate. If only this Program should ramp slowly define an ISY Scene with Room1 as Responder. Set the Scene Responder Ramp Rate to the desired Ramp Rate. The Program uses the ISY Scene (Set Scene 'xxxx' On/Off) to turn Room1 Scene On and Off which will use the Responder Ramp Rate.
  6. I would assume it was defective having run on 3.3.10 for an extended time. if you want to know if the new PLMs are an issue run 3.3.10 with a new PLM.
  7. If the old PLM is functional it can be used with the 994i. I suspect it will have link record issues. The newest PLMs do seem to have an issue with maintaining the link database, perhaps the power being supplied to the PLM is marginal in some way. Would be an interesting test to go back to 3.3.10 with the newest PLMs. I would expect 3.3.10 to have the same issues 4.2.5 is having as this does not look like an ISY release problem.
  8. No. The ISY understands a new PLM is in use after the new PLM and ISY have been power cycled. The Restore Modem (PLM) will not only rebuild the new PLM, it also rebuilds the individual devices. Note that if there are battery powered devices they will have to be restored one at a time after the Restore Modem (PLM) command completes.

    PLM links

Doing a Restore Modem (PLM) restores the PLM only. No other devices are affected.
  10. The trace shows 25.8A.65 turns Off by its paddle press, then On by its paddle press. If these were not done by physical interaction with the device there is a power issue to that device.
  11. The PLM will work with the 994i. It may be necessary to get new copies of any optional modules. I do not any so have no direct experience with that area.
  12. Need to move to a 994i. The 99i is now past End of Life. It was discontinued more than a year ago.
  13. There is no WeatherBug that the ISY has access to. They changed their API and established fee system that made use of WB impossible. Need to install 4.2.5 which uses a different weather system (HAM).
  14. Same thing applies to the FanLinc Fan node. It has to be controlled with Scenes as well.

gmurch The Admin Console looks old. A version which does not have a UI line. Even 3.3.10 has a UI line. Also the lack of events is another issue. UDI tech support will work with you to get the environment back to the needed level.

The Admin Console is not 4.0.5. Clear the Java cache including the Applications. Use the URL from page 1 of the 4.0.5 announcement to invoke the Admin Console.

I noticed from the posted image the KPL buttons are not Grouped. This means the buttons are displayed in alpha order rather than the Primary button being first. Right click on any KPL button and select Group Devices. That will place the Primary node first, the only node that reacts to the Delete/Remove function. There is an Ungroup function if the KPL buttons are preferred in alpha order when the KPL is added back.

  21. It will be necessary to do a Restore Modem (PLM) to build the new PLM link database. The Wiki has the instructions for replacing a PLM.
  22. Teken The 2444-222 is an Open/Close relay module used for motor control. Supports up to a 2.5 Amp motor. http://www.smarthome.com/2444-222/INSTEON-Micro-Open-Close-Module/p.aspx I think you are referring to a 2442-222 which is a Dimmer.
  23. A Restore Modem (PLM) rebuilds the PLM link database from the information the ISY is maintaining on the link records that should be in the PLM. The process will eliminate duplicate and no longer used link records. I do not know which internal ISY file contains that information and it does not matter.
  24. Each EZIO8SA relay has a max rating of 3 AMPs. If the three valves together do not exceed 3 AMPs then they can be connected to one relay. You will need a 24V power supply to drive the valves. Each EZIO8SA relay has a CM (common), NO and NC connection. One side of the 24V power supply goes to the CM connection. The NO goes to one of the valve wires. The other side of the 24V supply goes to the other valve wire. The location that carries the valves carries the 24V supply. Simple plug in transformer.
