I need some black rocker light switches that are compatible with my hub. I purchased some Insteon switches that work great a couple of years ago, but they seem to have discontinued the black color option. I can’t find a list of switches that are compatible with the ISY994i. Can anyone give me some guidance? thanks!

I didn’t receive your response. Could you resend it? Thanks! Ruth

Hi Michel - Did you receive my data? Thanks!

Hi Michel -- I am sending those files now.

Mobilinc Pro cannot connect to my ISY994i, although it used to work perfectly. It stopped working a couple of weeks ago, I don't know of any change to my network or my phone that would have impacted this. I have an iPhone running iOS 11.2.6. BTW, my husband's copy of Mobilinc Pro has the same problem. Mobilinc says that it has automatically detected Smartlink, but the ip address that it lists is not the address of the ISY when I look at the DHCP status table on my router. Do I need to assign a static IP address to the ISY? Thanks so much for your help. Ruth

Ah - got it. I had downloaded the wrong file. Once I downloaded the Administrative Console, everything returned to normal. Thanks!! Ruth

I just upgraded the firmware for my ISY and downloaded the new dashboard (4.5.1 for both). The reason that I did this was because my phone could talk to the ISY using Mobilinc, but my husband's couldn't, even though they were set up exactly the same. My programs have stopped working, and although I can see the programs, embarrassingly, I cannot figure out how to view them, or how to view states or variables. I didn't have this problem with the previous version of the dashboard. I must be missing something obvious. Can someone point me to documentation? Or give me an idea of how to get started? Thanks! Ruth

Thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction. It turns out that if you want to use the Archer C7 as an access point, you must have the incoming ethernet cable plugged into a LAN port, not the WAN port. This is unlike any other router that I've worked with, but once I corrected that problem, everything else is working like clockwork. Thanks again for being such a terrific forum!

I tried both of the addresses. 101 fails instantly with the message "connection is refused", and 105 takes longer to fail, but eventually times out. I have a wired router (TP-Link) in the garage that provides wired access to the house and the office. I have two wireless routers configured as access points that are connected to the router in the garage (one Asus and one TP-Link). The change that I made was to swap an old Cisco 2.4Ghz wireless router with a new TP-Link wireless router that supports both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz. When I plug the old router back in and attach the hub, the blue and red error lights blink. The static IP address would be in the router, which hasn't changed. I don't have any entries in the Static Routing table. Ruth

Here is an odd thing. The settings for my app, Mobilinc Pro, show the controller at 192.168.1.101, port 80. I can sync with the ISY from this app. On my husband's phone, the settings show the controller at 192.168.1.105, and it cannot sync. It times out and says: a connection failure occurred.

No, I don't think I assigned a port other than 80. If I ping it, the requests time out. The controller is working, and I can access it from the app on my phone.

I recently upgraded a router, which seems like it was a bad idea, because it has caused all sorts of headaches. My Admin Console can't find the controller. I can see the ISY994-EMS on my DCHP client list, but I can't figure out how to tell the Admin Console what to do next. Thanks in advance, and sorry for being such an idiot. Ruth BTW, when I type the IP address into my browser, it doesn't connect and the browser times out. Thanks again.

In looking at other posts on the forum, I'm guessing that installing two Access Points (INSTEON 2992-222 Range Extender) in the main house, one on each 120v leg, would achieve the coupling. Is that correct? Thanks
-
Sadly, no, they don't.

We attached plugs to each of the Micro On/Off Modules, and first did the beacon test with both devices in the office. We were able to get the "same phase" and "different phase" using different outlets in the office. As soon we took one of the modules to the main house, there was no response at all from the module in the office. We have another out building with power (also from the same meter) between the two buildings. I tried the test from there as well -- there was no response on the office module. Thanks so much for your help. Can you recommend a next step?

I have two brand new On/Off modules, which according to the website are dual band. I will put one if the office and one in the main house and try this test. Thanks again for your help.
-
The device is brand new, so this test should work. Thanks!

Yes, I think the RF range is almost nothing. I haven't been able to determine if the office is on the same 120V leg. Does anyone know of a simple way to tell? Assuming that it is not on the same leg, is there a way to solve the problem? Additional equipment? Thanks!
-
They are all on the same meter. I will have to investigate whether or not the 2 120V legs are coupled. I'll get back to you on that.

The second building has a separate panel.

I recently installed an ISY994i/IR Pro, Insteon 2413S PLM, and two Insteon On/Off 2443-2222 devices to control a set of external venetian blinds. They are working great, thanks to help from the forum. I have purchased two more On/Off modules to control another set of shades in the office, which is a separate building approximately 40 feet from the main house. The On/Off modules will not link to the ISY when they are located in the office. I have tested linking them when they are in the main house, and that works perfectly. What do I need to do to make this work? Apologies if this post should be in the Communications section. Thanks!!

Everything is working!! Thanks so much for your help. I have a few additional questions: 1. When we initially installed the Micro On/Off switches, when we flipped the breaker back to ON, both controllers seemed to wake up in an ON state. This caused the motor to get up and down signals simultaneously, and it made a nasty screeching noise. I quickly turned the breaker off. When I turned the breaker on again, my husband quickly hit the OFF switch on both of the controllers, and that fixed the problem. Subsequently, I have turned the breaker on and off, and the problem has not reoccurred. Have you ever seen this problem? 2. I have the Micro On/Off switches set to Latching. Is this correct? Things seem to be working, but I wanted to check to make sure that I configured the switches properly. 3. I see from your post above that you use the Insteon Mini Remote. That looks like a good device. Have you ever experimented with any of the iPhone control programs? I see that iRule is mentioned on the forum. Are there any other apps that you are familiar with? Thanks again.

Thanks so much. I have ordered a second on off module, and it will arrive on Monday. Is there any documentation that you can point me to on writing a program? I haven't stumbled across any yet. I was a software engineer in a previous life, so I with a little bit of direction, I should be able to get my arms around this problem. Best, Ruth

Yes, the rocker switch is momentary, and you have to hold it down until the blind has reached the top or bottom. It does have limit switches. If it reaches the top, say, and I am holding the switch down, the motor is silent. We would be willing to give up the switch if we can get the insteon controller to work properly. Particularly if we can use our phones to change the state of the blind. Thanks so much for all your help.
