  1. Hi Michael, Thanks for your continuing help. By moving the ISY/PLM next to the switches I was finally able to get both switches to restore so it must be some sort of real communication issue. I don't know what type of communication issue and I don't really know what else I can do. I have dual band switches and access points sprinkled throughout my house. I have FilterLincs on my equipment and UPSs. I have a SignalLinc for the dwindling number of X10 devices. I'll keep tweaking, but I'm sure you know that this is the most frustrating part of Insteon. With X10 you could at least get a signal detector and send out a P1 and get some feedback. With Insteon I feel like I'm working a "let's try this" or even worse, "take my money, this might work" style of debugging. Oh well, enough bitching. Thanks for your help!
  2. Hi Michael, After making a backup, I did follow those directions you pointed to on the wiki. I've been able to restore almost all of the devices, but I have a couple of KPLs that are consistently giving me an error when trying to restore. I'll keep trying and see if it takes. I was hoping something in the log would give a hint on what was happening. I may just need to replace the KPLs. Thanks!
  3. Hi, I just recently updated my PLM and I've been trying to restore my PLM and devices all day. I have a view devices that continually fail to restore without getting an error. I was hoping someone could take a look at the attached log and tell me if there's some obvious reason this particular keypad I'm trying to restore keeps failing. The log looks like everything is going well with most items only taking a single hop, then BAM, error. Thanks! ISY-Events-Log.v3.3.10__Wed 2013.12.18 06.05.49 PM.txt
  4. Hi Lee, I just tried Restoring the PLM once again (twice, actually) so let me make sure I'm seeing the correct behavior. When I perform the Restore I get the standard progress popup dialog. It says it's "Resetting the PLM" then runs from 0% to 2% then the dialog goes away. This takes about a minute to complete. Is that what I should be seeing? No "Complete" or "Done" message? Thanks, again!
  5. Thanks, Lee. I have power cycled the ISY since updating the PLM. I've also moved it to different locations within my house to make sure it wasn't a signal issue so it's been powered down and back up. I'm sure you're right that the link records are not pointing to the right place, but I'm not sure what step I'm missing to restore them properly.
  6. I have an ISY99PRO/IR. I wanted to try to get my system working a little more reliably so I just updated my PLM to the new dual band version. I also added a few new dual band switches around my house. I unplugged the old PLM and plugged in the new one and then did a "Restore PLM". Unfortunately, some of my programs have stopped working and I'm stumped to what could be wrong. For example, I have the following program that turns on several KPL buttons when any of the lights are turned on and will turn off the KBL buttons if they all are off. This worked fine with the old PLM and still works if I adjust any of the lights via the Administration Console. It does not work if the switches are turned on at the switch and the Administration Console doesn't show the status change if I adjust the switch locally. It's like the PLM is not seeing the changes made locally to the switch so the program never runs. Any ideas on what could be the cause of this problem? Thanks! 7. I am still having issues with IP connectivity. Is anyone else having these problems? I noticed that I still have ISY programs that are working, I just can't browse to the ISY, ping it and my Elk integration is totally broken. Only comes back after a reboot of the ISY. I have verified the network side of things. I'm having a similar problem. I can ping my ISY, but I'm unable to navigate to http://isy or http://ip-address. I reboot the ISY and connectivity is restored, but will stop working after a while. -- David
