  1. Hi Michel, Thanks for looking into this. You are correct that it functions properly and my only point was I think it’s a lot cleaner looking if that button does not flash 2 times even though that is normal. HAHA! The cool part is for whatever reason HouseLinc can stop that flashing by configuring the keypad buttons and I only have to do this once. After I configure it I can use ISY 100% for everything else and I get the best of both worlds. I am not sure how they are able to do this in HouseLinc but I was thinking you might be able to add some code to do the same in ISY. It sort of goes back to what Rand said about when you see a flashing button it normally means there is a problem. This is really just a matter of being picky and not a big deal feature especially since I can use HouseLinc combined with ISY to eliminate that flashing and get exactly the effect I am looking for. Thanks Again, Steve
  2. Hi Rand, These are newer keypads version 1.8 or v.2D in ISY. The button does not flash a bunch of times like when a responder is missing. Instead it simply flashes 2 times and then all the keypad button lights turn off. If I set this using HouseLinc v2 then there is no flashing at all and the second you press the D button all the other buttons immediately turn off. I explained this in the How To forum in detail. http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=2298 Thanks, Steve
  3. I wanted to share a scene I created using ISY and how to instantly update your keypad button lights with the help of HouseLinc v2. If you do not have HouseLinc you can still accomplish this using scenes through ISY but HouseLinc adds a little extra bonus to the mix. Here is a layout of a keypad in my kitchen. As a suggestion it would be really great if ISY had a feature where you could type in the button labels you assigned to all your keypads. I have 12 keypads and it can be sometimes hard to remember what all the buttons do. Notice that the Kitchen ON button A is set to automatically turn off the Kitchen Night button B and that the Rope Lights button C is set to follow the status of Button A. The button I will focus on in this example is button D which I use to turn off several lights in my kitchen which includes 2 keypads. Here is the scene I created in ISY to control everything. Notice how I have to include the 3 buttons from the Keypad in order to turn the button lights off. Although this works fine with ISY you will notice that when you press the All Off Button D that it flashes on and off a few times before turning all the keypad button lights off. Now if you have HouseLinc v2 you can setup the All Off button to automatically turn Off the other button lights without adding them to the scene. In HouseLinc you would setup the All Off button to turn Off Buttons A-C and set the main On/Off button to Follow. You also need to setup button D to Non-Toggle in the Off position as shown below. This is the only thing I cannot seem to figure out how to do with ISY. The cool part about using HouseLinc to configure the Keypad is I can now remove the other 3 keypad buttons from the original scene. So the scene in ISY will now look like this. The extra bonus on top of removing those 3 buttons from the scene is when you press Button D "All Off" it immediately turns off all 3 keypad lights and does not flash. This adds a much cleaner effect. Steve
  4. I upgraded from 2.6.14 to 2.6.15 without any problems. One thing I did learn when I first upgraded my firmware is it does not like NOD32 Antivirus. So I simply disable NOD32 each time I upgrade the Firmware and it works great every time now. So if anyone has problems upgrading to the latest firmware you might want to try disabling your antivirus first and then enable it once you finish installing the firmware. I also noticed with 2.6.15 that the Keypad LED Brightness button is working. Thanks, Steve
  5. Hi Rand, I have done what you suggested previously and although it does work it makes the D button flash on and off several times before finally turning off the other buttons lights. When I used HouseLinc's method to do this it immediately turns the other Keypad button lights off giving a visually cleaner look. I guess it's no big deal as both methods work but it would be more professional looking if when you pressed the D button the other button lights turned off immediately. The interesting part is I can use Houselinc to does setup the keypad buttons to do this and then ISY to setup the scenes without adding the 3 other keypad buttons to the scenes but I am trying to only use ISY for everything. I guess I am just too picky! HAHA! Thanks for your help, Steve
  6. Hi Michel, That's crazy but it worked perfectly! Thanks, Steve
  7. I am having trouble creating a scene to turn several devices off from a KeypadLinc button. Everything in the scene works great except for the load the keypad itself is connected to. For example, I have Button D of a Keypad turn off 4 devices and 1 of them is that Keypads main (ON/OFF) load. The other 3 devices turn off perfectly fine but no matter what I do I cannot get the Keypads main light to turn off. The crazy part is the keypad shows the Load is off (keypad light is switched from ON to the OFF position) but the physical light is still on. I have tried setting the Keypad as both controller and responder and neither works. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks, Steve
  8. Hi, Is there a way to configure a keypad to turn off several buttons when pressing another without using a scene or program? For example, when I press Button D I would like the keypad to turn off Buttons A, B, C and the main Keypad ON button. I tried using the Mutually Exclusive Buttons but it does not seem to do this. Currently I have been using HouseLinc v2 to do this but I want to use ISY to program this instead. Here is how it works using HouseLinc v2. Thanks, Steve
  9. That did the trick! Thanks
  10. In HouseLinc 2 there is handy feature that allows you to create a radio effect using one or more buttons on a KeypadLinc. For example, pressing Button A always turns Button B OFF and then pressing Button B always turns Button A OFF. Is there anyway to do this using ISY-99i without creating a Program? Thanks, Steve
