ISY 994 PRO OADR
Old Surfer Dude replied to Old Surfer Dude's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
Here is the system information: Model: ISY 994 1024 Platform: ISY-C-994 Version: 5.0.15 Build Timestamp: 2019-04-10-13:28:02 -
How do I access the Instantaneous Demand from an other program? Background: Quite a few years ago I bought an ISY 994 PRO OADR with the idea that I could monitor my electric meter and compare its data with the two other sources I have that collects energy usage/generation data. I envisioned a program that would request from the device, every 15 seconds, the instantaneous demand and store that data to a file. I got it installed and it is reading the meter just fine, but I never got around to writing the program, mostly because I didn't have a clue of how to access that data. Now I see that the ISY994i is going end-of-life and I have to assume that this device will soon follow. I need to get this done while the device is still being supported. Thus my question. OSD

I was experimenting with status and it appears that when using Status, only the first line of the Then-path is executed. I have that first line execute the Then-path of a second program. Seems to work, but certainly not elegant. MBbathFan Timer 1 - [ID 0034][Parent 0001] If '- / MBbathFan.(ZW 039)ONoff' Status is On Then Run Program 'MBbathFan Timer 2' (Then Path) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') MBbathFan Timer 2 - [ID 0022][Parent 0001] If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Disable Program 'MBbathFan Timer 1' Wait 20 minutes Set '- / MBbathFan.(ZW 039)ONoff' Off Enable Program 'MBbathFan Timer 1' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Firmware and UI v5.30, Z-Wave (21100) If I observe the switch in the Main tab, the state, ON or OFF are indicated correctly When I press the switch on and wait 20 minutes the fan does not turn off. Also, during that 20 minutes, the icon of the program never turns all green. It is my understanding that an all green icon indicates a running program and a program "waiting" is a running program. I confirmed this by right-clicking the program and then clicking on [Run Then]. Attached is the event(3) file "it may use hail so you'd need to set that up" How would I know if it used "hail" and how do I set that up? I tried to query the Z-Wave Configuration Parameters (MainTab-->right click device-->Z-Wave-->Set Configuration Parameter-->[Query] ) which resulted in an Error (dialog box is white with "Error [OK]") ISY-Events-Log.v5.3.0__Mon 2022.09.19 06.45.05.txt

My switch is a EnerWave ZW15XM-Plus I want to turn off the fan 20 minutes after it has been turned on: If '- / MBbathFan.(ZW 039)ONoff' is switched On Then Wait 20 minutes Set '- / MBbathFan.(ZW 039)ONoff' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') This works when I have an Insteon switch, but does with this Z-Wave switch. Why?

Can you provide a link?

I found this repair site. I sent a message to it yesterday(10 Sep 22), but no response, yet. I have heard that replacing the electrolytic caps will fix "dark" devices. (I just ordered some 6.4μ 400V caps in that hope. I have been looking for a forum where members could discuss how to repair Insteon devices. This will be important for us that are heavily invested. Admin Console crashing or ISY994i rebooting itself
Old Surfer Dude replied to Old Surfer Dude's topic in ISY994
@MrBillThanks for looking. I can't say for certain if I did those. I am about 70% confident that I did not do the 8PM one. I hoping that someone else had seen this and had a solution. But now I'll be better monitoring the situation and report back with logs Thanks again OSD- 4 replies

Here are some symptoms: Admin Console unresponsive error box but all white login box login box but all white To recover from this, on my windows computer, I close the Java process with the Task Manager. This is pretty annoy, especially since I'm trying to debug some weird stuff going on with the Z-Wave. This could be related. I thought this might have been related to my unsuccessful attempt at using Polyglot 2.7. I backed up my configuration and did a factory reset. I also factory reset the PLM. I restored the configuration and restored the PLM. This had little affect. Perhaps you know this poltergeist? I am trying to upgrade my ISY994ZS PRO: I found this page which instructed me to download this file ISY 994i ZW, Z, or ZS Series (Z-Wave/Zigbee and/or if you do NOT have a PLM). It is a zip file. I click on Help->Manually->Manually Upgrade ISY->[OK]->[YES]->(find folder, modify name)->[Save]->choose Upgrade File->[Open] and then I get the error "Upgrade Failed :Invalid or incompatible upgrade file". I tried both 5.3.0 and 5.3.4. Clearing the Java cache (Control Panel=>Java=>[Settings]=>[Delete Files]) did not help. I have a second ISY994i with both IR and Z-Wave. I ran the above steps, re-installing 5.3.0 which was successful. I had I noticed that on the previously linked page that one should upgrade to 5.3.2. In searching for that release, I found a page that had a link to 5.3.4 I found this link to attempt with 5.2.0 -- No Joy. Help.

ISY994ZS PRO unable to access dashboard and data
Old Surfer Dude replied to Old Surfer Dude's topic in ISY994
I had to get a new start.jlnp file, But now I can't update to the most recent release -
Thanks for your input! I have not experienced other communication problems between the devices the PLM/ISY Like I stated, I have an inelegant work-around, but it is always concerning that this may be evidence of other problems. I got this device long ago with the idea I was going to monitor my electric meter and then compare that data to TED Pro Home and from the data I collect directly from my solar panels. I've finally gotten around to looking at the data collection using the ISY994ZS PRO, but I can no longer even access the dashboard. I'm also going to need some help taking putting that data into a file. I will eventually merge the data from all the sources into a spread sheet for analysis. This is just one of the many challenges of this project. PVPower, the manufacturer of the inverter, has long since closed its doors, but fortunately, the information still exists on the web. I'll certainly appreciate any help I can get.
