  1. I did follow the procedure, first time had issues with communication, did factory reset on PLM and did it again, worked ok except for the scenes, what I ended up doing was delete each scene then rebuild them (a lot of big scenes) and all looks good. The puzzler now is my Alexa app has lost some devices and scenes and can't find scenes from ISY portal, not sure how that is related to replacing a PLM
  2. I've replaced the PLM and all devises respond to commands but scenes don't. When I bring up the scene it shows the devices involved but not on levels. Any ideas?
  3. I'm back trying to make this work, when I say "play" the Fire Cube will play content, same when I say "pause" it will pause content. I'd like Alexa to also run a lighting scene with the command. I made two ISY programs called play and pause that have the lighting scene I want for each command in the programs. When I say "turn on pause" the Fire Cube pauses content and lighting scene in that program is run but when I say "turn on play" just the lighting scene in that program runs and Fire Cube doesn't play content, I'm confused
  4. I'm trying to create a routine where when the pause command is given to Alexa it will trigger an ISY lighting scene along with pausing tv, problem is Alexa doesn't like "pause" as a phrase for the routine. Is there a way to accomplish this?
  5. I've sorted out why the admin console wouldn't open log, still working on the devices turning on randomly.
  6. I'm having an issue with two devices turning on randomly and when I check the log they don't show any activity. Then I just tried to open the log in the admin console and it says it can't open it. Any ideas on what's causing this?

    IRLinc error

I'm puzzled, last night I tried writing updates to the IRLinc and all the buttons with no joy, tried it again just now starting with the IRLinc itself and then the buttons individually and after I did one of those all seems fine.

    IRLinc error

It's a IRLinc receiver, I'm using link management to link the buttons, it was all working fine, I then added a few more links when it did this. I've tried writing updates to the IR Linc and linked buttons but the green barrel appears again after the process

    IRLinc error

I was linking buttons into IRLinc when I got an error message the ISY was trying to find nodes. Now on admin console IRLinc and all buttons linked have the green football on them. What did I do wrong and how can I fix it? Thanks
  10. That's what the problem was, the settings for the controller were different from what I had in the scene. Thanks again for your help on this guys.
  11. When I activate the scene via ISY the on level and ramp rate do what the scene is set at, it's when I use the button on the Ipad that it doesn't get the settings. The lights all react, just not to the settings in the scene
  12. Sorry, how do I do that?
  13. I,m not sure, the way I had it set up before was the Global Cache got the wifi command from Ipad, sent that via ir to the IR Linc, which had the on level and ramp speed linked to it. Now IR Linc only recognizes the button which corresponds to the scene set in ISY
  14. Actually Paul, there is an issue, the IR Linc buttons connected to the ISY with no problem but when I execute a scene linked to the button it doesn't recognize on level or ramp rate.
  15. Thanks so much for walking me through this, it works great! And the ISY is so much better for adjusting scenes.
  16. Ok, I understand how to create a scene with ISY, how does the IR linc tell ISY to activate the scene?
  17. The scene was built on the Irlinc, I.'m not sure how to do it using ISY as the ir command is coming from the Global cache. The ISY recognizes an on command, just not off. The odd thing is, it used to work the way I have it, the Switchlinc is pretty old and the last few days I was getting some odd behavior from it so I replaced it and now have this issue.
  18. I am using an app on an Ipad as a remote control for home theater. It sends commands to a Global Cache wifi to IR receiver. That sends IR commands to a IRlinc to control lighting through Switchlinc dimmers. My problem is the ISY doesn't recognize a Switchlinc status when it's controlled that way. I have a program that is dependent on status of the dimmer to execute so need the ISY to know status. Any suggestions?
  19. I am pretty basic at this, that worked great, thanks.
  20. I have a program that family room perimeter lights switch on via motion sensor between sunset and midnight, stay on for 10 minutes then switch off. I'd like to add the exception that if family room overhead light is already on when motion sensor is switched on to ignore the command. How would I write that into the program. Thanks
  21. I'm not familiar with a 5-1 sensor, is that an Insteon product? I do have a spare motion sensor, how would I write the program using that? I would want the scenes to turn off at a specified time.
  22. I have several lighting scenes programmed to turn on at specific times relative to sunset. Problem is on cloudy days interior of house get's too dark earlier than programmed times. Is it possible to use some kind of photoelectric cell to control scenes instead of time of day?
  23. Larry, I'm not sure if this is regulated, here's their website: https://www.hitlights.com/12v-led-dimmable-driversLED wall dimmers Jerlands, Here's what I'd like to do, I have the switchlinc in a scene that turns on at sunset, the switchlinc is dimmed low to provide soft lighting in the kitchen when no other lights are on there. When I turn on the overhead can lights they wash out the LED's in the cabinet so you can't tell they are on, so I would like the LED's to brighten when the cans are switched on. I have that same switchlinc in another program that turns it on late night if the motion sensor is switched on and it all works great until I enable the program with the can lights, then I get the erratic behavior
  24. The power supply is hardwired to the switchlinc, switchlinc dims AC input to the power supply which then outputs DC to the LED's as per the schematic that came with the power supply. When I disabled the program above it's working fine. I have two other programs associated with this switchlinc and it's a member of a scene and those are behaving properly. Is there a problem with that program I wrote it up?
