  1. Thanks, but just curious what is their purpose?
  2. I just received and installed the 500 series zwave controller and upgraded to 5.3. I'm currently converting everything I have to Zwave. I noticed when I add a simple GE zwave dimmer switch to the ISY it creates 3 separate devices. It adds the switch itself and then "Basic Scene Ctl 2 and basic scene Ctl 3". What is the purpose of these extra items? Do I need them or can I remove them from the ISY?

    Garage issues

You know that is actually a very good point. After reading your post I realized that I replaced a ton of bulbs about 1 week ago which is around when the issue started. I will try to remove the bulbs and see what happens. Thanks!

    Garage issues

Thanks I will give that a try. If it doesn't work I may just change over to zwave devices for my garage doors as I have already replaced most insteon switches through my house with zwave.

    Garage issues

The only other thing on that circuit are some Christmas lights, but they are the same ones we use every year so I'm at a loss. Could new things I plug in on another circuit cause interference with my garage circuit?

    Garage issues

For over 4 years I've had 2 insteon garage door devices to open and close both of my garage doors with no issues. Suddenly neither IOLinc is responding and can't be detected by my ISY. I ran an extension chord from both the garage IO lincs to another outlet on different circuit and it detected it again and worked fine. Any reason why my 2 dedicated garage opener outlets in ceiling would suddenly stop working with the ISY? Have been driving myself nuts trying to figure this out. Any help is appreciated!
  7. Thanks going to add the 500 card now and just get it done. One more question- with the latest version am I able to set the on-level of a zwave dimmer switch? This is something I always could do easily with Insteon switches, but do not see it as an option in the 5.0.16c for zwave dimmers. I've gotten around this with writing programs, but getting to be a pain with the # of devices I'm adding.
  8. Got it. What is the benefit to upgrading my z-Wave board?
  9. Firmware is at 4.8.0,My Zwave version is 4.55, UI is 4.7.3
  10. Just bought the Go Control 2 button wireless zwave switch in the the link below. I successfully added it to the ISY, but it shows up as "ZW032_1 - Uninitialized". I can't seem to do anything with it or use it to control any other devices. Any help on getting this to work is appreciated. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BKWG9XS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Switch issue

Would also like to add that occasionally(25%) the switch will turn on from ISY console. 75% of the time is doesn't turn on and gives me error message indicating ISY can't communicate with switch. however, I can always turn it off 100% of the time from the console. Very confused on why this is happening. Any help is appreciated.

    Switch issue

I'm suddenly having an issue with a single insteon on/off toggle switch located in my utility room in basement. The switch works fine manually to turn it on or off. When I try to turn it off from the ISY console that works fine, but then it won't turn back on from there or mobilinc app or alexa. I get an error messaging that the ISY can't communicate with that switch. I've tried removing the switch from the ISY and adding back in and that didn't fix the issue. I also replaced with another extra brand new toggle switch I have and it showed same behavior. This switch has worked for a year with no issues and now suddenly this has started. Any ideas on how I fix or what could be the problem?
  13. Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like it isn't a safety issue so much as I just need to make sure it's ok from an electr ical code perspective.
  14. Looks like its at the breaker on my pool pad.
