I'm looking for a recommendation on a smart temperature probe/sensor for multiple fridges and freezers that preferably work with Polisy (don't need another app). I took a look at the NS store and didn't really notice anything. Lots of options on the market but integration with what I have would be ideal. Anyone have any thoughts?

UD Mobile Sync Database Errors (need more detail)
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in UD Mobile
Thanks for the explanation Javi, it makes a lot of sense. Putting more text on a UDM screen might be too much. However, maybe a reference to these situational errors in a Wiki or something with a lot of the detail there might be more appropriate. This was triggered by a large migration. I'm sure there will be others. Thanks! -

I just upgraded to PG3 Version 3.1.15 on my Polisy Pro over the latest PG2 version. I also migrated my ISY994 to IoP 5.4.5. I installed the new production Hue node server 0.1.11 on PG3, reboot everything. After coming back up and implementing with the Hue hub button press and restart node server in less than 30 seconds it cannot find any Hue hub servers. I'm dead in the water here. Was working fine on PG2 and ISY994. Is it possible there are new instructions for adding Hue hubs under PG3?

UD Mobile Sync Database Errors (need more detail)
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in UD Mobile
Hi Javi, sorry too late. I can't reproduce it anymore as you can see by my follow up post shortly after I started this, I fixed the problem another way, which was sort of weird. I'm aware it's probably a node/program/variable issue but I couldn't find one anymore. But if that was the case then why did my solution fix the issue. I seems like something old was stuck on my iPhone and in a mismatch. However, I did manage to grab a screenshot (attached) earlier when there were only 3 errors. Please disregard the push notification message which popped up right as I was taken the screenshot. It has noting to do with this. -
UD Mobile Sync Database Errors (need more detail)
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in UD Mobile
NVM, I deleted the app and data, reinstalled the app again, logged in new, and now I get a sync with no errors. -
Where can I find a log or more detail on when UDM is having database sync errors? I very recently re-flashed my Polisy SSD to PG3 and migrated my ISY to IoP. As expected I lost everything that had to do with Zwave and Node Servers and must put those all back in manually and reconfigure. This will take days but I'm trying get to a stable situation first. I started with over 280 errors and then got down 3. Most of the errors were tied to defunct programs tied to Zwave and Node Server objects. I've went through and cleaned up everything obvious but now I'm flying blind and guessing. I see stuff that shouldn't matter and change or delete it and now I'm making it worse. I'm up to 26 errors now. I don't want to select the option to "remove unused values" without understanding what it is I will be removing. I'd rather clean it up from the IoP side and get no errors on a UDM sync. But I need to know what as it's not obvious at this point.

UD Mobile (iOS) favorites item not show 3 dots

Thank you Javi, I see the change now and it's working as expected. -
UD Mobile (iOS) favorites item not show 3 dots
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in UD Mobile
You are correct on both assumptions Sir. However, from the Wiki it looks like it's supposed to be there for Type Node so you can shortcut to the dashboard of a device or scene as well. I don't see it on those Favorite items either. -
ISY 5.3.4 with MobilLinc X/Connect Devices Missing
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in MobiLinc
Ok, OK, I made the move. You all talked me into it. I'm running UD Mobile now with the ISY Portal. My family was giving me such a hard time because in my house everybody is so dependent on voice control we rarely touch a switch for anything. I was tired of waiting for anybody from MobiLinc to respond so I bit the bullet and made the change. The portal change was fully self service as long as all those modules are there and enabled. The last time I did this it was not the case and I needed assistant from UD (Thanks Michel). As far as the rest of the change over it was more involved as I needed to do a massive cleanup on the ISY Portal as it hasn't been used for over a year and I'm a heavy user of Echo. As far as I'm concerned this issue is now closed as I have removed MobiLinc X and MobiLinc Connect from the equation and everything is functioning as before with two difference. I'm becoming familiar with an old friend I haven't seen in awhile (ISY Portal) and a new one I need to get use to (UD Mobile). Thanks everyone for all your input, as always it's very much appreciated. -
Wiki says... "because we have a Display Node there is a menu (three dots) which will open the Node's Dashboard". Has this changed? I cannot get those 3 dots to appear.

ISY 5.3.4 with MobilLinc X/Connect Devices Missing
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in MobiLinc
Yes thank you, I sent him a message. I also opened a support ticket yesterday with MobiLinc. Still no response for a whole day so I sent another today. Somehow I have this feeling nobody is watching on the other end. Ugh! I may be forced to make a change now but that just has issues written all over it. IT 101, only make one change at a time and make sure it's working correctly before moving on to the next. Otherwise you increase the complexity of resolving any issues exponentially. -
ISY 5.3.4 with MobilLinc X/Connect Devices Missing
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in MobiLinc
Yes, I could go to direct IP but would then loose Echo integration. You need a portal for that and it's one or the other and with "X" there's only one option. For full compatibility and all features, MobiLinc X requires your ISY-994i have our MobiLinc Portal module installed. To install, open the Admin Console and go to Help->Purchase Modules to install the MobiLinc Portal and then Help->Manage Modules. Do not install the UDI/ISY Portal as MobiLinc X will not work with the UDI/ISY Portal. If you've installed the UDI/ISY Portal, please contact UDI Support to have them remove the UDI/ISY Portal and install the MobiLinc Portal for your ISY. -
ISY 5.3.4 with MobilLinc X/Connect Devices Missing
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in MobiLinc
@MrBill, thanks and two more things. 1. I struggled over where to put this post but I'm telling you it specifically broke immediately after my ISY 5.3.1 to 5.3.4 update. Plain and simple. So I wanted to call it out as a possible bug and call attention to it happened from the upgrade. I know that doesn't mean it's a UD issue but maybe there's some incompatibility happening with the changes between 5.3.1 and 5.3.4. 2. My issue with self service switching between the modules is not between portal modules themselves. It's the inclusion or exclusion of the Network module. This has to be done by UD. -
ISY 5.3.4 with MobilLinc X/Connect Devices Missing
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in MobiLinc
@MrBill, you cannot use MobiLinc "X" with the ISY Portal/Module. It must be used with the MobiLinc Connect Portal/Module. Older versions of MobiLinc like "Orchestrator" (which I used prior) you can use the ISY Portal/Module. Please see my long explanation @Asbril above. So to answer your question I'm currently using MobiLinc "X" with the MobiLinc Connect Portal/Module. Thanks -
ISY 5.3.4 with MobilLinc X/Connect Devices Missing
theitprofessor replied to theitprofessor's topic in MobiLinc
I have an answer for you. One to two years ago I was using Orchestrated MobiLinc with the ISY Portal. It was brutal almost non functional. The sync instead of real time was killer with the 500+ devices I have. I would press an on button and I might get it to respond in 90-120 seconds. At that time there was no iOS UD Mobile and I wasn't a fan of the the ISY Portal as it seemed to also be slow. So I tried X with Connect and it was jaw dropping from what I was experiencing. Near instantaneous responses from an app button press. I couldn't see the speed difference from a local action. To the most part I've been very happy with that setup until this latest ISY update. I'm a heavy, heavy user of Echo for almost everything in my ISY/Polisy. One other feature I lived with but didn't like was the need to manage the details of the Echo configuration from the ISY Portal. MobiLinc Connect doesn't even have a user accessible portal. Echo configuration in MobilLinc Connect is all managed directly from the ISY Admin Console. No separate, UI. In addition, to Echo I use several cloud based network resources such as Pushover and others. All of these this require the proper modules on your ISY to function. It's not like you can switch from one app to another and try them side by side. It's one OR the other. The ISY Portal Module has the Network Module built into it and you need the Network Module if you want to use those other services with the MobiLinc Portal Module. You cannot run ISY Portal and MobiLinc Portal on the same ISY. It's one or the other and each app requires it's own portal. UD does not make it easy to switch back and forth between portal modules. It's not self service. It requires a support ticket and someone at UD to change it on the backend. I'm hesitant to make a change where I can't control the timing of that change and also a little scared about going back to the ISY Portal where my experience in it's performance was way too slow to me. If it was quick and easy to switch back and forth I'd probably go give it a look but I've been down this path before and it's not. Now on the other hand if someone is going to tell me MobiLinc is dying app and portal now that UD has it's own then I might be inclined to go through the pain now. But, I'd rather spend my time on more creative ways to utilize more IoT devices instead of portal integrations and the latest app as these things should just work, and work well, right out of the box. -
Yesterday I upgraded my ISY from 5.3.1 to 5.3.4 and now my MobiLinc has no devices. Admin console is fine everything is there. But somehow the portal integration with MobilLinc is blocking or not seeing any devices of any type, sort of. All the devices types show "0" devices. I can only see Rooms, Scenes, Variables, & Programs. This pretty much makes the MobiLinc X worthless right now. In addition, I have no Amazon Echo voice integration for anything that involves a device. Interesting, I still have Orchestrator (had before X) which uses MobiLinc Connect as well and all the devices are there and functioning. I've opened a support email with MobiLinc but haven't seen a response yet. In case it matters, I'm running iOS on 15.2. Does anyone else have this same situation or run into this issue before?

OK great it supports multichannel. I caught something in my skimmed reading and I went back to find it and turns out it was old and out of date, so you are correct. The fact is it still won't join the network. I'm very familiar working with Z-Wave as I have about 30 Z-Wave devices. I'm also familiar with the little tricks one must do sometimes like needing to put a Schlage Z-Wave device with-in inches of the controller to get it to join. The MIMO has a very simple process. You put the controller in listening mode and press the one and only button on the device once. I've tried everything to get it to join. Reset the device to factory default a several times, sync'd all devices before trying to add. There's not much more I can do. When the controller is in listening mode it does not discover a new device to add so it never gets an object added to the console. So here's more. After failing with the MIMO2+ so many times I thought I would go try it with the MIMO-Lite since I got one for free with my valve. It has the exact same process for joining the the network as the MIMO2+. The MIMO-Lite joined the network immediately and all the objects showed up in the console. The only thing I can think of at this point is maybe the MIMO2+ is defective, so I returned it.
-
An update on this in case anyone is interested. The Fortrezz MIMO2+ doesn't work. It won't join the network. Why? I think it's because the Fortrezz MIMO2+ is multichannel and the UDI Z-Wave 500 board doesn't support multichannel. Anyone have a good Z-Wave 500 "I/O Linc" "type" product I can use for this application? I realize I could use a Mimo-Lite like Asbril but that's a Z-Wave 300 product and I've made the decision that any new Z-Wave product purchases must be Z-Wave 500 minimum.
-
Anyone know of anything I should be concerned with by joining a Fortrezz MIMO2+ module (Z-Wave Plus) to my Z-Wave network controlled by my ISY994i with the 500 Series board installed running firmware 5.3.1? I want to connect the Fortrezz to a Greenfield Automatic Security Value to turn off my water at the main should my sensors detect a water leak. I'd rather use an Insteon I/O Linc but that's a dead product along with a dead company. So sad. Moving onto Z-Wave.
